Effect of chemical composition on the element distribution,phase composition and calcification roasting process of vanadium slag

The chemical composition of vanadium slag significantly affects its element distribution and phase composition,which affect the subsequent calcification roasting process and vanadium recovery.In this work,seven kinds of vanadium slags derived from different regions in China were used as the raw materials to study the effects of different components on the vanadium slag’s elements distribution,phase composition,calcification roasting,and leaching rate of major elements using scanning electron microscope,X-ray diffraction analysis,and inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectroscopy.The results show that the spinel phase is wrapped with silicate phase in all vanadium slag samples.The main elements in the spinel phase are Cr,V,and Ti from the interior to the exterior.The size of spinel phase in low chromium vanadium slag is larger than the other vanadium slags with higher chromium contents.The spinel phase of high-calcium and high-phosphorus vanadium slag is more dispersed.The strongest diffraction peak of vanadium spinel phase in the vanadium slag migrates to a higher diffraction angle,and(Fe_(0.6)Cr_(0.4))_(2)O_(3)is formed after calcification roasting as the chromium content increased.A large amount of Ca_(2)SiO_(4)is produced because excess Ca reacts with Si in high-calcium and high-phosphorus vanadium slag.The vanadium leaching rate reaches 88%in some vanadium slags.The chromium leaching rate is less than 5%in all vanadium slags.The silicon leaching rate of high-calcium and high-phosphorus vanadium slag is much higher than that of the other slags.The leaching rate of manganese is higher than 10%,and the leaching rates of iron and titanium are negligible.

The prognosis for diffusely infiltrating gliomas at World Health Organization(WHO)grade 2-4 remains dismal due to their heterogeneity.The rapid development of genome-wide molecular-profiling-associated studies has greatly promoted the accuracy of glioma classification.Thus,the latest version of the WHO classification of the central nervous system tumors published in 2021 has incorporated more molecular biomarkers together with histological features for the diagnosis of gliomas.Advanced usage of molecular pathology in clinical diagnostic practice provides also new opportunities for the therapy of patients with glioma,including surgery,radiotherapy and chemotherapy,targeted therapy,immunotherapy,and more precision clinical trials.Herein,we highlight the updates in the classification of gliomas according to the latest WHO guidelines and summarize the clinically relevant molecular markers by focusing on their applications in clinical practice.We also review the advances in molecular features of gliomas,which can facilitate the development of glioma therapies,thereby discussing the challenges and future directions of molecular pathology toward precision medicine for patients with glioma.

Puncturable ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption scheme for efficient and flexible user revocation

With the rapid deployment of storage services, secure and efficient user authorization and revocation data shared through the cloud have become a grand challenge hindering cloud data applications.When previous direct and indirect user revocation schemes implemented large-scale user revocation, they faced heavy communication and computational costs. To address these challenges, this study presents a new encryption scheme that combines ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption(CP-ABE) with puncturable encryption to achieve efficient and flexible user revocation. We design a proxy server to reduce the computational overhead in the decryption phase. Because the puncture process is performed on a semi-honest cloud, we use the digital signature method to verify the correctness of its operation. Furthermore, we prove the security of our scheme under the chosen-plaintext attack(CPA), and compare it with other schemes to highlight its advantages. Numerical analysis and experimental simulation results reveal that our scheme is more suitable than other schemes for use in a cloud environment for user revocation.

P2P transaction method for distributed energy prosumers based on reputation value

Adding a reputation incentive system to peer-to-peer(P2P)energy transactions can encourage prosumers to regulate their trading behavior,which is important for ensuring the efficiency and reliability of P2P transactions.This study proposed a P2P transaction mechanism and game optimization model for prosumers involved in distributed energy sources considering reputation-value incentives.First,the deviation of P2P transactions and the non-consumption rate of distributed renewable energy in P2P transactions were established as indicators to quantify the influencing factors of the reputation value,and a reputation incentive model of P2P transactions for prosumers was constructed.Then,the penalty coefficient was applied to the cost function of the prosumers,and a non-cooperative game model of P2P transactions based on the complete information of multi-prosumers was established.Furthermore,the Nash equilibrium problem was transformed into a nonlinear optimization problem by constructing the modified optimal reaction function,and the Nash equilibrium solution of the game was obtained via a relaxation algorithm.Finally,the modified IEEE 33-node test system based on electricity market P2P and an IEEE 123-node test system were used to analyze and verify the cost and P2P participation of prosumers considering the reputation value.The results show that the addition of the reputation incentive system can encourage prosumers to standardize their interactive transaction behavior and actively participate in P2P transactions.It can also improve the operation efficiency of the power grid and promote the perfection of the P2P transaction mechanism.

Active-reactive power scheduling of integrated electricity-gas network with multi-microgrids

Advances in natural gas-fired technologies have deepened the coupling between electricity and gas networks,promoting the development of the integrated electricity-gas network(IEGN)and strengthening the interaction between the active-reactive power flow in the power distribution network(PDN)and the natural gas flow in the gas distribution network(GDN).This paper proposes a day-ahead active-reactive power scheduling model for the IEGN with multi-microgrids(MMGs)to minimize the total operating cost.Through the tight coupling relationship between the subsystems of the IEGN,the potentialities of the IEGN with MMGs toward multi-energy cooperative interaction is optimized.Important component models are elaborated in the PDN,GDN,and coupled MMGs.Besides,motivated by the non-negligible impact of the reactive power,optimal inverter dispatch(OID)is considered to optimize the active and reactive power capabilities of the inverters of distributed generators.Further,a second-order cone(SOC)relaxation technology is utilized to transform the proposed active-reactive power scheduling model into a convex optimization problem that the commercial solver can directly solve.A test system consisting of an IEEE-33 test system and a 7-node natural gas network is adopted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheduling method.The results show that the proposed scheduling method can effectively reduce the power losses of the PDN in the IEGN by 9.86%,increase the flexibility of the joint operation of the subsystems of the IEGN,reduce the total operation costs by $32.20,and effectively enhance the operation economy of the IEGN.

Enrichment of Nb and Ti from carbonatite pyrochlore ore via calcining-slaking followed by gravity separation

In this work,a novel process consisting of calcining-slaking followed by gravity separation for the enrichment of niobium(Nb)and titanium(Ti)from carbonatite pyrochlore ore was proposed,validated and compared with the current mainstream flotation method.During calcining of the pyrochlore ore,within which the carbonates were transformed into lime.Subsequently,when the calcined ore was slaked,lime was transformed into hydroxide with fine particles which were amenable to gravity separation.After calcining at 900℃for 60 min,slaking at 90℃for 10 min with a liquid–solid ratio of 3:1(mL/g),approximately 40%of tailings can be removed by gravity separation,the recoveries of Nb and Ti were 94.7%and 91.0%,and the enrichment ratios of Nb and Ti were 1.61 and 1.43,respectively.The new approach exhibits high separation efficiency of carbonate gangue minerals and valuable minerals,satisfactory recoveries of niobium as well as titanium can be achieved.

Development of conductive hydrogels: from design mechanisms to frontier applications

Owing to their excellent mechanical flexibility, electrical conductivity, and biocompatibility, conductive hydrogels(CHs) are widely used in the fields of energy and power, and biomedical technology. To arrive at a better understanding of the design methods and development trends of CHs, this paper summarizes and analyzes related research published in recent years. First,we describe the properties and characteristics of CHs. Using Scopus, the world’s largest abstract and citation database, we conducted a quantitative analysis of the related literature from the past 15 years and summarized development trends in the field of CHs. Second, we describe the types of CH network crosslinking and basic functional design methods and summarize the three-dimensional(3D) structure-forming methods and conductive performance tests of CHs. In addition, we introduce applications of CHs in the fields of energy and power, biomedical technology, and others. Lastly, we discuss several problems in current CH research and introduce some prospects for the future development of CHs.

Overview of current design and analysis of potential theories for automated fibre placement mechanisms

Automated fibre placement(AFP) systems have successfully intensified the demand for high-quality composite component manufacturing in both the military and civilian fields. One of the main elements of these systems is the AFP mechanism for accomplishing individual fibre delivery,clamp/cut/restart(CCR) and the consolidation process, and it consists of several functional submechanisms presenting strong coupling relationships and motion sequences. This review aims to summarize the development of AFP mechanisms and the associated research achievements and provide insight into the research challenges in promoting innovative design in such mechanisms. The systematic development of AFP systems is reviewed in detail, and subsequently, engineering tendency and the general principle of AFP mechanisms are introduced. Focusing on the mechanism design of AFP sub-mechanisms, including the creel assembly CCR and compaction mechanisms,the mechanical schemes as well as the AFP process parameter control are discussed. To improve system reliability and fully optimise AFP mechanisms, the essential theoretical foundation for AFP mechanisms are provided. It is believed that this attempt will help to change the design and optimisation of similar complete mechanisms. Based on the reviewed research, overall remarks and perspectives are presented to serve as a guide for exploring the possibility of novel easy-to-use and cost-effective integrated AFP applications.

Comparison of the interface reaction behaviors of CaO–V_(2)O_(5) and MnO_(2)–V_(2)O_(5) solid-state systems based on the diffusion couple method

The formation mechanism of calcium vanadate and manganese vanadate and the difference between calcium and manganese in the reaction with vanadium are basic issues in the calcification roasting and manganese roasting process with vanadium slag.In this work,CaO–V_(2)O_(5) and MnO_(2)–V_(2)O_(5) diffusion couples were prepared and roasted for different time periods to illustrate and compare the diffusion reaction mechanisms.Then,the changes in the diffusion product and diffusion coefficient were investigated and calculated based on scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) analysis.Results show that with the extension of the roasting time,the diffusion reaction gradually proceeds among the CaO–V_(2)O_(5) and MnO_(2)–V_(2)O_(5) diffusion couples.The regional boundaries of calcium and vanadium are easily identifiable for the CaO–V_(2)O_(5) diffusion couple.Meanwhile,for the MnO_(2)–V_(2)O_(5) diffusion couple,MnO_(2) gradually decomposes to form Mn_(2)O_(3),and vanadium diffuses into the interior of Mn_(2)O_(3).Only a part of vanadium combines with manganese to form the diffusion production layer.CaV_(2)O_(6) and MnV_(2)O_(6) are the interfacial reaction products of the CaO–V_(2)O_(5) and MnO_(2)–V_(2)O_(5) diffusion couples,respectively,whose thicknesses are 39.85 and 32.13μm when roasted for 16 h.After 16 h,both diffusion couples reach the reaction equilibrium due to the limitation of diffusion.The diffusion coefficient of the CaO–V_(2)O_(5) diffusion couple is higher than that of the MnO_(2)–V_(2)O_(5) diffusion couple for the same roasting time,and the diffusion reaction between vanadium and calcium is easier than that between vanadium and manganese.

An atlas of expression quantitative trait loci of microRNAs in longissimus muscle of eight-way crossbred pigs

MicroRNAs(miRNAs)are key regulators of myocyte development and traits,yet insight into the genetic basis of variation in miRNA expression is still limited.Here,we present a systematic analysis of expression quantitative trait loci(eQTL)for miRNA profiling in longissimus muscle of pigs from an eight-breed crossed heterogeneous population.By integrating the whole-genome sequencing and miRNAomics data,we map 54 cis-and 292 trans-e QTLs at high resolution that are associated with the expression of 54 and 92miRNAs,respectively.Twenty-three trans-acting loci are identified to affect the expression of nine myomi Rs(known muscle-specific miRNAs).MiRNAs in mammalian conserved miRNA clusters are found to be subjected to regulation by shared cis-e QTLs,while the expression of mature miRNA-5p/-3p counterparts is more likely to be regulated by different cis-e QTLs.Fine mapping and bioinformatics analyses pinpoint the peak cis-e SNP of mi R-4331-5p,rs344650810,which is located in its seed region,as a causal variant for the changes in expression and function of this miRNA.Additionally,rs344650810 is significantly(P<0.01)correlated with the density and percentage of type I muscle fibers.Altogether,this study provides a comprehensive atlas of miRNA-e QTLs in porcine skeletal muscle and new insights into regulatory mechanisms of miRNA expression.
