An externally generated resonant magnetic perturbation can induce complex non-ideal MHD responses in their resonant *** have studied the plasma responses using Fitzpatrick's improved two-fluid model and program *** calculated the error field penetration threshold for *** addition,we find that the island width increases slightly as the error field amplitude increases when the error field amplitude is below the critical penetration ***,the island width suddenly j.mps to a large value because the shielding effect of the plasma against the error field disappears after the *** scanning the natural mode frequency,we find that the shielding effect of the plasma decreases as the natural mode frequency ***,we obtain the m/n=2/1 penetration threshold scaling on density and temperature.

The stability for magnetic field to the solution of the Riemann problem for the polytropic fluid in a variable cross-section duct is discussed. By the vanishing magnetic field method, the stable solutions are determined by comparing the limit solutions with the solutions of the Riemann problem for the polytropic fluid in a duct obtained by the entropy rate admissibility criterion.

Predicting the thickness of Thermally Grown Oxide(TGO)and the residual stresses induced by TGO growth in the Thermal Barrier Coatings(TBCs)is significant work in analyzing the failure of *** practical applications,the operating temperature,oxygen partial pressure,aluminium content in TBCs,and porosity of the topcoat affect the oxidation ***,a novel oxidation rate model is proposed to describe the effect of such *** parameters in the proposed model were fitted with isothermal degradation test data from prior ***,a method for calculating the residual stress in a disk-shaped specimen was developed based on the oxidized growth strain model and the oxidized ***,a variable-temperature oxidation experiment was performed to validate the new oxidation *** average error between the predicted and experimental thicknesses is approximately 10%,and the average error between the residual stresses is 30%.Under the variable-temperature condition,the error between the predicted thickness and the average experimental thickness is 3.9%.

The combination of hydrogen/deuterium(H/D)formaldehyde-based isotopic methyl labeling with solid-phase extraction and high-performance liquid chromatography–high resolution mass spectrometry(HPLC-HRMS)is a powerful analytical solution for nontargeted analysis of trace-level amino-containing chemicals in water *** the huge amount of chemical information generated in HPLC-HRMS analysis,identifying all possible H/Dlabeled amino chemicals presents a significant challenge in data *** address this,we designed a streamlined data processing pipeline that can automatically extract H/D-labeled amino chemicals from the raw HPLC-HRMS data with high accuracy and ***,we developed a cross-correlation algorithm to correct the retention time shift resulting from deuterium isotopic effects,which enables reliable pairing of H-and D-labeled ***,we implemented several bioinformatic solutions to remove false chemical features generated by in-source fragmentation,salt adduction,and natural13C ***,we used a data mining strategy to construct the AMINES library that consists of over 38,000 structure-disj.inted primary and secondary amines to facilitate putative compound ***,we integrated these modules into a freely available R program,*** rationale of each module was j.stified and its performance tested using experimental H/D-labeled chemical standards and authentic water *** further demonstrated the application of HDPairFinder to effectively extract N-containing contaminants,thus enabling the monitoring of changes of primary and secondary N-compounds in authentic water *** is a reliable bioinformatic tool for rapid processing of H/D isotopic methyl labeling-based nontargeted analysis of water samples,and will facilitate a better understanding of N-containing chemical compounds in water.

Fixed-point fast sweeping methods are a class of explicit iterative methods developed in the literature to efficiently solve steady-state solutions of hyperbolic partial differential equations(PDEs).As other types of fast sweeping schemes,fixed-point fast sweeping methods use the Gauss-Seidel iterations and alternating sweeping strategy to cover characteristics of hyperbolic PDEs in a certain direction simultaneously in each sweeping *** resulting iterative schemes have a fast convergence rate to steady-state ***,an advantage of fixed-point fast sweeping methods over other types of fast sweeping methods is that they are explicit and do not involve the inverse operation of any nonlinear local ***,they are robust and flexible,and have been combined with high-order accurate weighted essentially non-oscillatory(WENO)schemes to solve various hyperbolic PDEs in the *** multidimensional nonlinear problems,high-order fixed-point fast sweeping WENO methods still require quite a large amount of computational *** this technical note,we apply sparse-grid techniques,an effective approximation tool for multidimensional problems,to fixed-point fast sweeping WENO methods for reducing their computational ***,we focus on fixed-point fast sweeping WENO schemes with third-order accuracy(Zhang et al.2006[41]),for solving Eikonal equations,an important class of static Hamilton-j.cobi(H-j.*** experiments on solving multidimensional Eikonal equations and a more general static H-j.equation are performed to show that the sparse-grid computations of the fixed-point fast sweeping WENO schemes achieve large savings of CPU times on refined meshes,and at the same time maintain comparable accuracy and resolution with those on corresponding regular single grids.

The Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor(CMOS)image sensor is a critical component with the function of providing accurate positioning in many space application *** long-time operation in space environments,there are radiation related degradation and var-ious uncertainties affecting the positioning accuracy of CMOS image sensors,which further leads to a reliability reduction of CMOS image ***,the reliability of CMOS image sensors is related to their specified function,degradation,and uncertainties;however,current research has not fully described this *** this paper,a comprehensive approach to reliability modelling of CMOs image sensors is proposed based on the reliability science ***,the perfor-mance margin modelling of centroid positioning accuracy is ***,the degradation model of CMOS image sensors is derived considering the dark current increase induced by the total ionizing dose ***,various uncertainties are analyzed and quantified,and the measure-ment equation of reliability is proposed.A case study of a CMOS image sensor is conducted to apply the proposed method,and the sensitivity analysis can provide suggestions for design and use of CMOS image sensors to ensure reliability.A simulation study is conducted to present the advantages oftheproposed comprehensive approach.
