Chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome(CP/CPPS),also known as National Institutes of Health(NIH)type Ⅲ prostatitis,is a common disorder with an unclear etiology and no known curative *** on the presence or absence of leukocytes in expressed prostatic secretion(EPS),CP/CPPS is classifiedfurther into Illa(inflammatory)and Illb(noninflammatory)***,the severity of symptoms is not entirely consistent with the white blood cell(WBC)*** the preliminary finding of a link between inflammatory cytokines and CP/CPPS,we performed this clinical study with the aim of identifying cytokines that are differentially expressed according to whether the prostatitis subtype is Ⅲa or Ⅲ*** found that granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF),interleukin-18(IL-18),and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)levels were significantly elevated and interferon-inducible protein-10(IP-10)and platelet-derived growth factor-BB(PDGF-BB)levels were downregulated in the EPS of patients with type Ⅲa *** a word,it is a meaningful study in which we investigate the levels of various cytokines in EPS according to whether prostatitis is the Ⅲa or Ⅲb *** combination of G-CSF,IL-18,MCP-1,IP-10,and PDGF-BB expression levels could form a basis for classification,diagnosis,and therapeutic targets in clinical P/CPPS.

BACKGROUND:Prompt pathogen identification can have a substantial impact on the optimization of antimicrobial *** objective of the study was to assess the diagnostic value of next-generation sequencing(NGS)for identifying pathogen and its clinical impact on antimicrobial intervention in immunocompromised patients with suspected ***:This was a retrospective *** January and August 2020,47 adult immunocompromised patients underwent NGS testing under the following clinical conditions:1)prolonged fever and negative conventional cultures;2)new-onset fever despite empiric antimicrobial treatment;and 3)afebrile with suspected infections on *** data,including conventional microbial test results and antimicrobial treatment before and after NGS,were *** were analyzed according to documented changes in antimicrobial treatment(escalated,no change,or deescalated)after the NGS ***:The median time from hospitalization to NGS sampling was 19 *** relevant pathogens were detected via NGS in 61.7% of patients(29/47),more than half of whom suffered from fungemia(n=17),resulting in an antimicrobial escalation in 53.2% of patients(25/47)and antimicrobial de-escalation in 0.2% of patients(1/47).Antimicrobial changes were mostly due to the identification of fastidious organisms such as Legionella,Pneumocystis jirovecii,and *** the remaining three cases,NGS detected clinically relevant pathogens also detected by conventional cultures a few days *** antimicrobial treatment was subsequently adjusted according to the susceptibility test ***,NGS changed antimicrobial management in 55.3%(26/47)of patients,and conventional culture detected clinically relevant pathogens in 14.9% of the patients(7/47).CONCLUSION:With its rapid identification and high sensitivity,NGS could be a promising tool for identifying relevant pathogens and enabling rapid appropriate treatment in immunocompromised patients w

Aqueous rechargeable batteries are the promising energy storge technology due to their safety,low cost,and environmental *** ion(NH_(4)^(+))is an ideal charge carrier for such batteries because of its small hydration radius and low molar *** this study,VO_(2)·xH_(2)O with rich oxygen defects(d-HVO)is designed and synthesized,and it exhibits unique nanoarray structure and good electrochemical performances for NH_(4)^(+)*** and calculation results indicate that oxygen defects in d-HVO can enhance the conductivity and diffusion rate of NH_(4)^(+),leading to improved electrochemical *** most significant improvement is observed in d-HVO with 2 mmol thiourea(d-HVO-2)(220 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.1 A·g^(-1)),which has a moderate defect content.A full cell is assembled using d-HVO-2 as the anode and polyaniline(PANI)as the cathode,which shows excellent cycling stability with a capacity retention rate of 80%after 1000 cycles and outstanding power density up to 4540 W·kg^(-1).Moreover,the flexible d-HVO-2||PANI battery,based on quasi-solid electrolyte,shows excellent flexibility under different bending *** study provides a new approach for designing and developing high-performance NH_(4)^(+)storage electrode materials.

Sodium(Na)metal batteries(SMBs)have emerged as promising alternatives to lithium metal batteries for large-scale energy storage applications,owing to their cost-effectiveness,abundance,and favorable redox ***,the practical implementation of SMBs faces several challenges associated with the Na metal anode,including the formation of dendrites,low Coulombic efficiency,and capacity ***,we propose a novel approach to enhance the electrochemical performance of Na metal anodes through a porous Al-Cu alloy host(PAC)fabricated by a local eutectic melting *** local eutectic melting facilitates the development of a conductive network,offering mechanical support,and the porous structure provides abundant channels for the diffusion of Na ions and accommodates volume fluctuations in the Na metal during charge–discharge ***,the PAC exhibits a high average Coulombic efficiency of 99.8%at 1 mA·cm^(−2)for 1 mAh·cm^(−2)and a low voltage polarization of 19 mV during 500 *** study provides valuable insight into the design and fabrication of highperformance Na metal anodes,which hold significant promise for the advancements of next-generation energy storage systems.

Abstract This paper discusses variable selection for interval-censored failure time data, a general type of failure time data that commonly arise in many areas such as clinical trials and follow-up studies. Although some methods have been developed in the literature for the problem, most of the existing procedures apply only to specific models. In this paper, we consider the data arising from a general class of partly linear additive generalized odds rate models and propose a penalized variable selection approach through maximizing a derived penalized likelihood function. In the method, the Bernsetin polynomials are employed to approximate both the unknown baseline hazard functions and the nonlinear covariate effects functions, and for the implementation of the method, a coordinate descent algorithm is developed. Also the asymptotic properties of the proposed estimators, including the oracle property, are established. An extensive simulation study is conducted to assess the finite-sample performance of the proposed estimators and indicatesthat it works well in practice. Finally, the proposed method is applied to a set of real data on Alzheimer’s disease.

The practice of shale oil exploration and development all over the world has shown that reservoir quality is a key factor restricting oil and gas production， the study of ultra-deep (4 500 m) reservoirs in petroliferous basins is a hot spot for oil and gas exploration in the world today. In this paper， taking the Fengcheng Formation (P1f) in Mahu Sag of Junggar Basin as an example， through experiments such as geochemistry， whole rock analysis， FE-SEM， N2 adsorption， and CO2 adsorption， the lithofacies are separated， and the pore structure properties of the various lithofacies are compared. Discuss the primary influencing elements that lead to pore structure differences. The results reveal that the shale of the P1f can be separated into four lithofacies (namely felsic shale， mixed shale， lime shale and dolomitic shale)， according to the mineral composition. The shale pores of P1f develop intergranular pores， intragranular pores， organic pores and micro-fractures. Among them， intergranular pores， intragranular pores and micro-fractures are the most developed， and the pore size is larger， which is a favorable storage space. Different lithofacies have different pore development characteristics. With the change of lithofacies (mixed shale - dolomitic shale - lime shale - felsic shale)， the size of the developed pores changes from small to large， and the pore structure changes from "Mainly microporous" to "mainly macropores". The felsic shale has developed laminae， mainly mesopores and macropores， with the largest pore diameter and the highest content of brittle minerals， which is the dominant lithofacies in the shale oil reservoir of the P1f. TOC， felsic and clay minerals all affect the pore development of shale in the P1f， but the influence of organic matter and inorganic minerals on pore volume varies with pore size.
