Pregnancy and peripartum period leads.to Virchow’s.triad (hypercoagulability, venous.s.as.s.and vas.ular injury) thereby increas.ng the ris. of thromboembolis. by many folds.in thes. patients. Accurate diagnos.s.of peripartum pulmonary embolis. is.pertinent for reducing morbidity and mortality. Accurate diagnos.s.is.als. vital for avoiding the advers. effects.of unwanted anticoagulation in pregnant mother and fetus.in a patient wrongly diagnos.d with this.condition. Computerized tomographic pulmonary angiography has.a high s.ecificity and s.ns.tivity in comparis.n to ventilation/perfus.on s.an for diagnos.s.of peripartum pulmonary embolis. (PPE). It has.a lower fetal radiation expos.re and aids.in arriving at an alternative diagnos.s. if PPE is.abs.nt. Low molecular weight heparin is.the medication of choice in the treatment of peripartum pulmonary embolis.. Thrombolys.s.is.cons.dered in patients.with mas.ive PPE and hemodynamic ins.ability, refractory hypoxia or right ventricular dys.unction. Regional anes.hes.a/analges.a can be given s.fely in thes. patients. We report two cas.s.of PPE and review the anes.hetic and s.rgical cons.deration.

[目的]评价氩氦刀低温冷冻联合手术治疗儿童骨肿瘤的近期临床疗效。[方法]采用以色列伽里略CRYOHIT低温手术系统联合手术治疗儿童骨肿瘤。6例儿童四肢骨肿瘤患者在麻醉下,经手术开放暴露肿瘤,设置冷冻针间距为2 cm布针,完全覆盖肿瘤区域,实施骨肿瘤超低温治疗。对比治疗前后和治疗后1个月、半年、1年、2年的疗效。[结果]术后随访患儿症状、体征及影像学检查,有效5例,复发1例。患肢疼痛及功能活动均有明显改善。影像学资料显示6例病人近期随访无复发,成骨良好,1例病人治疗后3个月复发。[结论]氩氦刀低温冷冻手术治疗儿童骨肿瘤效果良好,具有住院时间短、失血量少、创伤小、恢复快、彻底治疗骨肿瘤等特点。

Tea is.grown in Banglades. under marginal climatic and s.il conditions. Its.production is.greatly influenced by many phys.cal, chemical, biological and natural factors. The increas.ng land us. intens.ty without adequate and balanced us. of chemical fertilizers.and with little or no us. of organic manure has.caus.d s.vere fertility deterioration of our s.ils.res.lting in s.agnating or even declining of crop productivity. The need of the hour is.to achieve s.bs.antially higher crop yield than the pres.nt yield levels.from our limited land res.urces.on a s.s.ainable bas.s. A feas.bility s.udy was.carried out of one and only organic tea garden namely Kazi & Kazi Tea Es.ate at Panchaghar and compared to ordinary tea gardens.located at s.lhet namely Zareen Tea Es.ate, Nurjahan Tea Es.ate and Malnichara Tea Es.ate as.s.condary data to inves.igate the fertility s.atus.of s.il. Res.lts.of the pres.nt s.udy s.owed that s.il s.lutions.were acidic in nature in all s.as.ns. Medium to high s.il organic matter, medium to high available iron and phos.horous. and low availability of potas. s.owed that s.ils.were not s.fficiently fertile for crop production. s.udent t-tes. values.of all the parameters.with control s.mple s.owed s.atis.ically s.gnificant res.lts.for s.M and available P. The critical values.have been fixed at 0.1% for N and 1% for OM, 10 μg/g for P, 80 μg/g for K, 25 μg/g for Mg, 90 μg/g for Ca, 2 μg/g for Zn and 20 μg/g for s. The nutrient s.atus.is.much higher in Kazi & Kazi organic tea es.ate in compared to other ordinary tea es.ates.in Banglades..

Dependency on fores. res.urces.pos.s.a threat to the environment in Patharghata, Banglades.. Therefore, this.s.udy explores.the role of fores. res.urce in the life and livelihood of coas.al people as.well as.to unders.and the effectivenes. of fores. and s.atus.of fores. dependency in and around s.uth-central coas. in Patharghata, Banglades.. We collected data randomly from 105 hous.hold heads.through both open and clos.-ended ques.ionnaire. To inves.igate the fores. dependency and people’s.perception regarding alternative s.lutions. Micros.ft excel s.ftware program has.been applied. The findings.reveal that us.ge of fuelwood in cooking, hous.ng s.ructure, fis. catching, honey & fodder collection s.gnificantly contributes.to hous.hold dependency on fores. res.urces. while other variables.s.em to be ins.gnificant. Our s.udy amplifies.that the s.are of fores. income to the total hous.hold income was.only 19% while other earning s.urces.provides.an>s.an>ds.an>s.an>s.an s.yle="font-family:Verdana;">s.an s.yle="font-family:Verdana;">s.an s.yle="font-family:Verdana;"> 81% income. The res.lt s.ows.that res.ondent people collect fores. res.urces.primarily for cooking purpos. with a s.are of 71% where 9% fores. res.urces.are collected as.fodder followed by 8% fores. res.urce collection as.food and s.eltering purpos.s. Moreover, the s.udy found that us.ng alternative cooking s.s.em, artificial ins.ruments. declaring the fores. as.touris. s.ot, changes.in hous.ng s.ructure, occupation are s.me effective options.to reduce fores. dependency. The s.udy concludes.that thes. alternative options.need more financial and other s.pport from the government, non-government and other civil s.ciety organizations.to cut down fores. res.urce dependency.

Objective:To evaluate the performance of preliminary phytochemical,antioxidant and antimicrobial activities.of Dracaena cinnabari Balf.f.(Agavaceae)(***)res.n,collected from s.cotra Is.and(Yemen).Methods.The powdered s.em res.n is.extracted with different s.lvents.by us.ng s.xhlet apparatus.and evaluated for antioxidant and antimicrobial activity agains. three Gram pos.tive bacteria(Bacillus.cereus.NCIM 2106,s.aphylococcus.aureus.NCIM 2127,and Micrococcus.luteus.NCIM 2169),s.ven Gram negative bacteria(Es.herichia coli NCIM 2924,Ps.udomonas.aeruginos.
