Man (Nondestr Test Eval 15:191-214, 1999) derived the constitutive relation of a weakly-textured orthorhombic aggregate of cubic crystallites with effects of microstructure and initial stress. In this paper, a computational expression on the integration ∫SO(3) Q^× D^1m0dg is given. Then, by means of the computational expression, the general constitutive relation of a weakly-textured anisotropic polycrystal with the consideration of microstructure and initial stress is derived. As special cases of our general constitutive relation, two constitutive relations are given for an isotropic polycrystal and a weakly-textured anisotropic aggregate of cubic crystallites. The acoustoelastic tensor of the reference cubic crystal is derived to determine the material constants of the polycrystal. Two examples are given for understanding the physical meaning of the texture coefficients and the constitutive relations.

Although bioinspired sacrificial bonds have been demonstrated to be efficient in improving the mechanical properties of polymer materials, the effect of binding energy of a specific dynamic bond on the ultimate mechanical performance of a polymer network with dual-crosslink remains unclear. In this contribution, diamine and sulfur curing package are introduced simultaneously into a sulfonated cis-1,4-polyisoprene to create dually-crosslinked cis-1,4-polyisoprene network with sulfonate-aminium ionic bonds as the sacrificial bonds. Three diamines (primary, secondary and tertiary) with the same spacer between the two nitrogen atoms are used to create the ionic bonds with different binding energies. Although the binding energy of ionic bond does not affect the glass transition temperature of cis-1,4-polyisoprene (IR), it exerts definite influences on strain-induced crystallization and mechanical performance. The capabilities of diamine in dissipating energy, promoting strain-induced crystallization and enhancing the mechanical performance are in the same order of secondary diamine 〉 primary diamine 〉 tertiary diamine. The variations in mechanical performances are correlated to the binding energy of the ionic bond, which is determined by pKa values.

The effect of roller shapes on strip buckling in a continuous annealing furnace was focused on. The tensile stress distribution, the transverse compressive stress, and the critical buckling stress of the strip were studied by the finite element method (FEM) when the flat roller, crown roller, single taper roller, and double taper roller were used, respectively. Simulation results show that strip buckling is most likely to occur with the crown roller, then the double taper roller, and finally the single taper roller. Also, strip buckling can not occur when the flat roller is used. Considering strip snaking, the single taper roller and double taper roller are suggested in the continuous annealing fur-nace. The double taper roller with a better strip snaking-prevention ability should be applied in the sections with high strip temperature, and the single taper roller with a better buckling-prevention ability should be used in the sections with low strip temperature.

As the only way for air to enter the lungs,the trachea plays an indispensable role in conducting,cleaning,and humidifying ***,trauma,and congenital disease of the trachea are serious threats to patients[1].Local tracheal disease can be treated with a balloon or stent,but for extensive tracheal disease,tracheal reconstruction after surgical resection is the only treatment[2–4].However,the tension of the anastomotic site also increases with expansion of the resection range,which causes a series of complications,such as poor anastomotic healing,anastomotic fistulae,and tracheal rupture,and even life-threatening complications in severe cases[5].
