The risk of flammability is an unavoidable issue for gel polymer electrolytes(GPEs).Usually,flameretardant solvents are necessary to be used,but most of them would react with anode/cathode easily and cause serious interfacial instability,which is a big challenge for design and application of nonflammable ***,a nonflammable GPE(SGPE)is developed by in situ polymerizing trifluoroethyl methacrylate(TFMA)monomers with flame-retardant triethyl phosphate(TEP)solvents and LiTFSI–LiDFOB dual lithium *** is strongly anchored to PTFMA matrix via polarity interaction between-P=O and-CH_(2)CF_(3).It reduces free TEP molecules,which obviously mitigates interfacial reactions,and enhances flame-retardant performance of TEP *** TEP molecules are also inhibited in solvation of Li^(+),leading to anion-dominated solvation sheath,which creates inorganic-rich solid electrolyte interface/cathode electrolyte interface *** coordination structure changes Li^(+)transport from sluggish vehicular to fast structural transport,raising ionic conductivity to 1.03 mS cm^(-1) and transfer number to 0.41 at 30℃.The Li|SGPE|Li cell presents highly reversible Li stripping/plating performance for over 1000 h at 0.1 mA cm^(−2),and 4.2 V LiCoO_(2)|SGPE|Li battery delivers high average specific capacity>120 mAh g^(−1) over 200 *** study paves a new way to make nonflammable GPE that is compatible with Li metal anode.

Sodium-ion batteries hold great promise as next-generation energy storage ***,the high instability of the electrode/electrolyte interphase during cycling has seriously hindered the development of *** particular,an unstable cathode–electrolyte interphase(CEI)leads to successive electrolyte side reactions,transition metal leaching and rapid capacity decay,which tends to be exacerbated under high-voltage ***,constructing dense and stable CEIs are crucial for high-performance *** work reports localized high-concentration electrolyte by incorporating a highly oxidation-resistant sulfolane solvent with non-solvent diluent 1H,1H,5H-octafluoropentyl-1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl ether,which exhibited excellent oxidative stability and was able to form thin,dense and homogeneous *** excellent CEI enabled the O3-type layered oxide cathode NaNi_(1/3)Mn_(1/3)Fe_(1/3)O_(2)(NaNMF)to achieve stable cycling,with a capacity retention of 79.48%after 300 cycles at 1 C and 81.15%after 400 cycles at 2 C with a high charging voltage of 4.2 *** addition,its nonflammable nature enhances the safety of *** work provides a viable pathway for the application of sulfolane-based electrolytes on SIBs and the design of next-generation high-voltage electrolytes.

Design performance evaluation and vortex structure investigation of different S-shaped intermediate turbine ducts

The demand of further increasing bypass ratio of aeroengine will lead to low pressure turbines with higher diameter. Therefore, it is necessary to design a duct to guide the hot gas flow which is expelled from the upstream high pressure (HP) turbine stage to the downstream low pressure (LP) turbine stage. Named by its position, this kind of duct is always called intermediate turbine ducts (ITDs). Due to the pursuit of higher thrust ratio of the aeroengine, this kind of ITDs has to beas short as possible which leads to aggressive (high diffusion) S-shaped ITDs' geometry. In this paper, two different schemes of high diffusion separation-free S-shaped ITDs were studied with the aid of three-dimensional CFD programs. Although these two ITDs have the same area ratios (AR), because of the different duct length, they have totally different area as well as area change rates. With the detailed calculation results, comparisons were made to investigate the underneath physical mechanisms. Additionally, a direct estimation of the ITDs' loss is given at the end of this paper and some ITDs' novel design idea is proposed to initiate some further discussions.

TiAlN/Cu Nanocomposite Coatings Deposited by Filtered Cathodic Arc Ion Plating

TiAIN]Cu nanocomposite coatings with Cu concentration of 0-1.4 at.% were deposited on the high- speed steel （HSS） substrates by filtered cathodic arc ion plating technique. The chemical composition, microstructure, morphology, adhesion strength, mechanical and tribological properties of the TiAIN/Cu coatings were characterized and analyzed. The results reveal that the coating structure and properties depend on not only the Cu concentration, hut also the deposition condition. The addition of Cu significantly decreases the grain size and weakens the texture in the TiAlN/Cu coatings. With increasing the Cu concentration, the coating hardness decreases slightly from 30.7 GPa of the pure TiAlN coating to 28.5 GPa of the TiAlN/Cu coating with 1.4 at,% Cu. All the TiAlN/Cu coatings present sufficient adhesion strength. In addition, the existing state of additive Cu in the TiAlN/Cu coatings is also investigated.

Electronic properties of one-dimensional systems with long-range correlated binary potentials

We study numerically the electronic properties of one-dimensional systems with long-range correlated binary potentials. The potentials are mapped from binary sequences with a power-law power spectrum over the entire frequency range, which is characterized by correlation exponent β. We find the localization length ζ increases withβ. At system sizes N →∞, there are no extended states. However, there exists a transition at a threshold ζ. Whenβ 〉 βc, we obtain ζ 〉 0. On the other hand, at finite system sizes, ζ≥ N may happen at certain β, which makes the system ＂metallic＂, and the upper-bound system size N＊（β） is given.

Condition-based maintenance policy for gamma deteriorating systems

A condition-based maintenance model for gamma deteriorating system under continuous inspection is studied. This methodology uses a gamma distribution to model the material degradation, and the impact of imperfect maintenance actions on the system reliability is investigated. The state of a degrading system immediately after the imperfect maintenance action is assumed as a random variable and the maintenance time follows a geometric process. Furthermore, the explicit expressions for the long-run average cost and availability per unit time of the system are evaluated, an optimal policy （ε^＊） could be determined numeri- cally or analytically according to the optimization model. At last, a numerical example for a degrading system modeled by a gamma process is presented to demonstrate the use of this policy in practical applications.

Study on the inter-village space of a traditional village group in Huizhou Region:Hongguan Village group as an example

Village groups are a common phenomenon in Huizhou Region,a historical region in eastern China where shared inter-village spaces play important roles in linking *** study analyzes the spatial layouts and characteristics of the inter-village space in the Hongguan village group in Wuyuan County,Jiangxi Province.A comprehensive literature review and the results of field research,qualitative analysis,and quantitative analysis prove that the regional spatial structure is maintained among inter-village space,landmarks,villagers,and villages within the village *** a summarized analysis of nine research slices,this study complements previous Huizhou Village *** provides valuable information for the preservation of traditional villages and reveals the hidden rules,potential order,and social meaning of inter-village spaces.

Numerical study of submerged bending vegetation under unidirectional flow

Submerged vegetation commonly grows and plays a vital role in aquatic ecosystems,but it is also regarded as a barrier to the passing *** simulations of flow through and over submerged vegetation were carried out to investigate the effect of vegetation density on flow *** simulations were computationally set up to replicate flume experiments,in which vegetation was mimicked with flexible plastic *** fluid-structure interaction between flow and flexible vegetation was solved by coupling the two modules of the COMSOL *** cases with different vegetation densities were simulated,and the results were successfully validated against the experimental *** contours of the simulated time-averaged streamwise velocity and Reynolds stress were extracted to highlight the differences in mean and turbulent flow *** turbulence intensity was found to be more sensitive to vegetation density than the time-averaged *** developing length increased with the spacing between *** snapshots of the bending vegetation under instantaneous velocity and vorticity revealed that flexible vegetation responded to the effects of eddies in the shear layer by swaying *** first two rows of vegetation suffered stronger approaching flow and were prone to more streamlined *** addition,the origin of tip vortices was investigated via the distribution of *** results reveal the variation of flow properties with bending submerged vegetation and provide useful reference for optimizationofrestorationprojects.

Design high-performance narrowband emitters for blue light-emitting diodes through manipulating resonance structure of aromatic heterocycles

Narrowband light-emitting materials play critical roles in improving the color gamut and energy consumption of electroluminescence. Herein we demonstrated that by regulating the ground state resonance structure form of emitters with polycyclic aromatic heterocycles, the high-energy vibration of the C–C bond can be effectively suppressed, resulting in narrow emission like classical cyanine dyes. The designed compounds consist of twist and planar conformation, while having differences in the orientation of the positioning electron-donating(nitrogen) and electron-accepting(carbonyl) groups in the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon skeleton. The resulting compound Ac-Ph-Ac with a dominated zwitterionic resonance structure exhibits a relatively wide electroluminescent profile with the full width at half maximum(FWHM) of 42 nm and moderate device performance. In contrast, the “soliton transition” of 2AcPh based on the cyanine limit character effectively suppresses C–C stretching vibration in the polycyclic aromatic heterocycle skeleton, leading to a narrow electroluminescent profile with FWHM of 30 nm(0.16 eV)associated with an impressively high external quantum efficiency of 28.52%, which is among the highest efficiencies of so far reported non-sensitized organic light-emitting diodes.
