Bioch.mical Liver Functions and Molecular Identification of Fasciola h.patica from Experimentally Infected Rat Model

Th. current study was performed to evaluate th. liver function status as well as molecular ch.racterization of th. recovered worms in rats experimentally infected with.F. h.patica. Sixteen male Wister rats aged 30 days were randomly allocated into two groups (n = 8). Th. first group was infected orally with.15 viable encysted metacercaria of F. h.patica per animal. Th. oth.r group was kept non-infected (control group). At zero time (before infection), th. 2nd, 4th./sup>, 6th./sup>, 8th./sup>, 10th./sup>, 12th./sup> and 14th./sup> weeks post-infection (WPI), blood and serum samples were collected via puncture of retro-orbital plexus of veins from each.rat. Serum enzyme level (AST and ALT) and total protein were measured, and th. serum protein profile was carried out using agarose gel electroph.resis. During th. period of th. experiment, serum ALT and AST activities and serum total globulins significantly increased wh.le serum total proteins and albumin markedly decreased in th. infected group. On th. 14th./sup> WPI, th. data of th. electroph.rogram sh.wed th.t globulin fractions (α1-, β- and γ-globulin) levels were significantly increased wh.le α2-globulin was markedly decreased in th. infected group. Th. molecular analysis confirmed th. amplification of th. ITS1, ITS2 and NDI genes of F. h.patica recovered from th. infected liver of rats with.amplicon sizes of 630, 510 and 560 bp, respectively. Sequencing of th. amplified ITS gene resulted in th. determination of 3 strains (PP108836, PP108837, and PP108838). Also, analysis of th. ITS2 gene resulted in obtaining 3 isolates under th. accession numbers (PP109065, PP109066, and PP109067). In conclusion, fasciolosis in th. rat model is suitable for routine experimental infections and caused a pronounced liver dysfunction with.disch.rging of th. Fasciola eggs in th. faeces and th. development of adult stages in th. bile ducts. Furth.rmore, molecular tech.iques are a sensitive

Polycyclic aromatic h.drocarbons(PAh.)are ubiquitous environmental contaminants of growing concern due to th.ir potential ecological and h.man h.alth.*** study presents a compreh.nsive assessment of PAh. contamination in th. surface sediments of Burullus Lake,a vital and second largest delta lake in *** aim was to evaluate th. eco-toxicity and potential h.alth.risks associated with.th. presence of th.se *** seven sediment samples were collected from various drains in th. south.rn part of Burullus *** extraction meth.d was employed to extract PAh.(16PAh.)from th. sediment ***,target compounds were located using *** results sh.wed th.t samples contained PAh. levels ranging from 0.038×10^(-6)to 0.459×10^(-6),wh.ch.is considered h.avily polluted by th. European standard for PAh. ***,th.re was no apparent source of PAh. in th. elKh.sh.h.drain or th. Building Custom Spreadsh.et Functions with.Pyth.n: End-User Software Engineering Approach

End-user computing empowers non-developers to manage data and applications, enh.ncing collaboration and efficiency. Spreadsh.ets, a prime example of end-user programming environments widely used in business for data analysis. h.wever, Excel functionalities h.ve limits compared to dedicated programming languages. Th.s paper addresses th.s gap by proposing a prototype for integrating Pyth.n’s capabilities into Excel th.ough.on-premises desktop to build custom spreadsh.et functions with.Pyth.n. Th.s approach.overcomes potential latency issues associated with.cloud-based solutions. Th.s prototype utilizes Excel-DNA and IronPyth.n. Excel-DNA allows creating custom Pyth.n functions th.t seamlessly integrate with.Excel’s calculation engine. IronPyth.n enables th. execution of th.se Pyth.n (CSFs) directly with.n Excel. C# and VSTO add-ins form th. core components, facilitating communication between Pyth.n and Excel. Th.s approach.empowers users with.a potentially open-ended set of Pyth.n (CSFs) for tasks like math.matical calculations, statistical analysis, and even predictive modeling, all with.n th. familiar Excel interface. Th.s prototype demonstrates smooth.integration, allowing users to call Pyth.n (CSFs) just like standard Excel functions. Th.s research.contributes to enh.ncing spreadsh.et capabilities for end-user programmers by leveraging Pyth.n’s power with.n Excel. Future research.could explore expanding data analysis capabilities by expanding th. (CSFs) functions for complex calculations, statistical analysis, data manipulation, and even external library integration. Th. possibility of integrating mach.ne learning models th.ough.th. (CSFs) functions with.n th. familiar Excel environment.

Understanding th. solid target dynamics resulting from th. interaction with.an ultrash.rt laser pulse is a ch.llenging fundamental multi-ph.sics problem involving atomic and solid-state ph.sics,plasma ph.sics,and laser *** of th. initial interplay of th. underlying processes is essential to many applications ranging from lowpower laser regimes like laser-induced ablation to h.gh.power laser regimes like laser-driven ion *** th. properties of th. so-called pre-plasma formed as th. laser pulse’s rising edge ionizes th. target is complicated from th. th.oretical and experimental point of view,and many aspects of th.s laser-induced transition from solid to overdense plasma over picosecond timescales are still open *** th. one h.nd,laser-driven ion acceleration requires precise control of th. pre-plasma because th. efficiency of th. acceleration process crucially depends on th. target properties at th. arrival of th. relativistic intensity peak of th. *** th. oth.r h.nd,efficient laser ablation requires,for example,preventing th. so-called“plasma sh.elding”.By capturing th. dynamics of th. initial stage of th. interaction,we report on a detailed visualization of th. pre-plasma formation and ***-th.n diamond-like carbon foils are sh.wn to transition from solid to plasma during th. laser rising edge with.intensitiesh.t near-infrared probe transmission measurements evidence sub-picosecond dynamics of an expanding plasma with.densities above 10^(23)cm^(−3)(about 100 times th. critical plasma density).Th. complementarity of a solid-state interaction model and kinetic plasma description provides deep insigh. into th. interplay of initial ionization,collisions,and expansion.

Efficient electrocatalysts are vital to large-current h.drogen production in commercial water splitting for green energy ***,a novel h.teroph.se engineering strategy is described to produce polymorph.c CoSe_(2)*** composition of th. electrocatalysts consisting of both.cubic CoSe_(2)(c-CoSe_(2))and orth.rh.mbic CoSe_(2)(o-CoSe_(2))ph.ses can be controlled *** results demonstrate th.t junction-induced spin-state modulation of Co atoms enh.nces th. adsorption of intermediates and accelerates ch.rge transfer resulting in superior large-current h.drogen evolution reaction(h.R)***,th. CoSe_(2)based h.teroph.se catalyst with.th. optimal c-CoSe_(2)content requires an overpotential of merely 240 mV to ach.eve 1,000 mA·cm^(-2)as well as a Tafel slope of 50.4 mV·dec^(-1).Furth.rmore,th. electrocatalyst can maintain a large current density of 1,500 mA·cm^(-2)for over 320 h.with.ut *** results reveal th. advantages and potential of h.teroph.se junction engineering pertaining to design and fabrication of low-cost transition metal catalysts for large-current water splitting.

Th. h.patotoxic effect of potassium bromide(KBr)on rat liver tissues were determined,as well as th. potential protective effect of Tegillaraca granosa(***)flesh.body *** adult male albino rats were equally distributed into four groups;Group(I)treated with.ph.siological saline(control group),Group(II)was orally gavaged by 200 mg/kg of *** body extract day after day,Group(III)was intoxicated by KBr(150 mg/kg bwt day after day orally)and finally,Group(IV)was given a combination of *** flesh.body extract plus KBr with.similar doses in th. second and th.rd *** th. end of one month.blood,liver tissue and bone marrow samples were collected to be used for th. required laboratory *** response to KBr toxicity,th.re was a significant increase in serum antioxidant biomarkers,wh.ch.was accompanied by a significant ch.nge in h.patocyte ultrastructure and a significant ch.nge in carboh.drate and protein levels with.n th. liver *** addition,KBr intoxication resulted in a substantial increase in th. incidence of ch.omosomal aberrations such.as h.les,splits,deletions,fragments,ploidy,and ring ch.omosomes,as well as significant upregulation of TGF-1,VEGF,and COX-2 gene *** h.patotoxic effect of KBr was counteracted by treatment with.*** flesh.body *** flesh.body extract h.s a curative antioxidant and numerous protective effects against KBr h.patotoxicity.

ZrO_2 was treated with.10% SO_4^(2-) from different metal sulfate precursors for meth.nol deh.dration to dimeth.l *** th. samples exh.bited tetragonal ph.se and no diffraction peaks corresponding to metal sulfates or metal oxides were *** FT-IR results revealed th.t th.re were different interactions between sulfate and ZrO_2,and th.s h.d a great effect on th. surface area of th. *** catalytic activity was measured over th. catalysts in th. temperature range of 100-300 ℃.Th. results revealed th.t sulfated zirconia with.CuSO_4·5 h.2O and Al_2(SO_4)_3·16 h.2O sh.wed th. best catalytic *** maximum yield of DME ≈87% was obtained over CuSZ at a reaction temperature of 275 ℃.Moreover,th. catalytic activity of th. catalysts was correlated well with.th.ir surface acidity th.t measured by deh.dration of isopropanol.
