BACKGROUND Pancreatic cystic lesions(PCLs) are common in clinical practice. The accurate classification and diagnosis of these lesions are crucial to avoid unnecessary treatment of benign lesions and missed opportunities for early treatment of potentially malignant *** To evaluate the role of cyst fluid analysis of different tumor markers such as cancer antigens [e.g., cancer antigen(CA)19-9, CA72-4], carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA), serine protease inhibitor Kazal-type 1(SPINK1), interleukin 1 beta(IL1-β), vascular endothelial growth factor A(VEGF-A), and prostaglandin E2(PGE2)], amylase, and mucin stain in diagnosing pancreatic cysts and differentiating malignant from benign *** This study included 76 patients diagnosed with PCLs using different imaging modalities. All patients underwent endoscopic ultrasound(EUS) and EUS-fine needle aspiration(EUS-FNA) for characterization and sampling of different *** The mean age of studied patients was 47.4 ± 11.4 years, with a slight female predominance(59.2%). Mucin stain showed high statistical significance in predicting malignancy with a sensitivity of 87.1% and specificity of 95.56%. It also showed a positive predictive value and negative predictive value of 93.1% and 91.49%, respectively(P els had high statistical significance(P elation with mural nodules, lymph nodes, cyst diameter, mucin stain, and cyst fluid CEA. :Surface electromyogram(sEMG)processing and classication can assist neurophysiological standardization and evaluation and provide habitational *** timing of muscle activation is critical in determining various medical conditions when looking at sEMG *** muscle activation timing allows identication of muscle locations and feature validation for precise *** work aims to develop a predictive model to investigate and interpret Patellofemoral(PF)osteoarthritis based on features extracted from the sEMG signal using pattern *** this end,sEMG signals were acquired from ve core muscles over about 200 reads from healthy adult patients while they were going ***,offset,and time duration for the Transversus Abdominus(TrA),Vastus Medialis Obliquus(VMO),Gluteus Medius(GM),Vastus Lateralis(VL),and Multidus Muscles(ML)were acquired to construct a classication *** proposed classication model investigates function mapping from real-time space to a PF osteoarthritis discriminative feature *** activation feature space of muscle timing is used to train several large margin classiers to modulate muscle activations and account for such activation *** fast large margin classier achieved higher performance and faster convergence than support vector machines(SVMs)and other state-of-the-art *** proposed sEMG classication framework achieved an average accuracy of 98.8%after 7 s training time,improving other classication techniques in previous literature.

AIM: To evaluate any differences between the percentages of involved breast volume, pathologic attributes,and tumor marker expression of T3 and T4a-c tumors in locally advanced breast cancers(BC).METHODS: All patients with T3 N > 0 and T4a-c BC without evidence of distant metastasis(M0), presenting to the Breast Clinic from 1980 to 2010, were examinedto determine whether their BC's involved ≥ 50% of their breast volumes, defined by gross replacement of at least one hemisphere. Core needle biopsy or postmastectomy specimens from tumors involving a known percent of breast volume were evaluated for:(1)pathological grades and lympho-vascular invasion(LVI);(2) hormone receptor(ER/PR) expression > 0; and(3)epidermoid growth factor 2(her2) over-expression(3+)by immune-histochemical staining or fluorescent in situ ***: The data base included 98 patients with T3N> 0 M0 and 120 with T4a-c, any N disease, M0 disease. T3 tumor masses involved 50% or more of the breast in 23/98(24%), and T4a-c tumors 65/120(54%)(P elay, rather than inherent biological aggressiveness.
