Patterns of hepatitis B virus exposure and associated predictors in Vietnam: A crosssectional study

Objective:To examine the magnitude of isolated anti-HBc and other HBV serological patterns and associated predictors among adults seeking general health check-up at a large health center in ***:All 564 outpatients seeking general health checkup between January 2016 and December 2016 were asked to undertake HBV surface antigen,surface antibody,IgG and IgM core antibody(anti-HBc total),platelet counts,and liver function *** administered questionnaire was used to collect information regarding demography,in-house sources of infection,lifestyle,health condition and treatment,and HBV ***:Male gender(P=0.043),age(P=0.000),living in urban areas(P=0.040),HBV vaccination status(P=0.033),and ALT(P=0.040) were associated with isolated *** infection was associated with HBV vaccination status(P=0.001),ALT levels(P=0.010),AST levels(P=0.020),and platelet counts(P=0.007).Past/resolved HBV infection was associated with AST levels(P=0.005),ALT levels(P=0.014),and age(P=0.000).Conclusions:Isolated anti-HBc is quite *** of isolated anti-HBc include male gender,living in rural areas,and HBV *** prevalence of isolated anti-HBc also increases with *** timely detect occult HBV infection and prevent transmission,anti-HBc testing should be included in the health check-up for high risk individuals and screening program where HBV nucleic acid test is not *** prevent transmission,clinicians need to pay more attention on those who are at risk of having isolated anti-HBc and closely follow-up patients with isolated anti-HBc and educate them about the prevention of HBV infection.

Simplified Penman-Monteith Equation Determined by Temperature-Based Global Radiation Data and Its Multilocal Validation under Subhumid Climatic Conditions in Hungary

The extent to which specific climatic factors influence evapotranspiration under subhumid conditions in Hungary was investigated. The reference evapotranspiration, calculated with the internationally accepted Penman-Monteith equation proposed by FAO, was considered. The results show that the influence of radiation, which provides energy for evaporation, is the strongest factor and that the influence of global radiation alone is very strong. Taking into account that radiation was measured under rather limited conditions in space and time, global radiation was calculated using the Hargreaves method based on temperature. Accordingly, we have defined a formula based on temperature-based global radiation and verified the data obtained with the Penman-Monteith formula calculated for 14 meteorological stations. The verification gave good results, therefore the method can be used for practical purposes in the subhumid conditions of Hungary based on the data of the nearest meteorological station.

Infectious keratitis in Vietnam:etiology,organisms,and management at Vietnam national Eye Hospital

AIM:To report the etiologies,risk factors,treatments,and outcomes of infectious keratitis(IK)at a major Vietnamese eye ***:This is a retrospective review of all cases of IK at Vietnam national Eye Hospital(VnEH)in Hanoi,*** histories,demographics,clinical features,microbiological results,and treatment outcomes were ***:IK was diagnosed in 1974 eyes of 1952 patients,with ocular trauma being the greatest risk factor for IK(34.2%),frequently resulting from an agriculturerelated injur y(53.3%).The mean duration between symptom onset and presentation to VnEH was 19.3±14.4 d,and 98.7%of patients had been treated with topical antibiotic and/or antifungal agents prior to evaluation at *** on smear results of 1706 samples,the most common organisms identified were bacteria(n=1107,64.9%)and fungi(n=1092,64.0%),with identification of both bacteria and fungi in 614(36.0%)***-five of 374 bacterial cultures(14.7%)and 426 of 838 fungal cultures(50.8%)were positive,with the most commonly cultured pathogens being Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Streptococcus pneumonia,Fusarium spp.,and Aspergillus *** perforation and descemetocele developed in 391(19.8%)and 93(4.7%)eyes,*** treatment was successful in resolving IK in 50.4%eyes,while 337(17.1%)eyes underwent penetrating or anterior lamellar *** was performed in 7.1%of eyes,most commonly in the setting of fungal ***:Ocular trauma is a major risk factor for IK in Vietnam,which is diagnosed in almost 400 patients each year at *** this,and as approximately one quarter of the eyes that develop IK require corneal transplantation or evisceration,greater emphasis should be placed on the development of prevention and treatment programs for IK in Vietnam.

Antioxidant potential,tannin and polyphenol contents of seed and pericarp of three Coffea species

Objective:To investigate the antioxidant activity,total phenolic and total tannin content of the pericarp and the seed of Coffea benghalensis(***) and Coffea liberica compared to Coffea arabica(***).Methods:The antioxidant potential,total tannin and polyphenol contents of the immature and mature seed and pericarp of *** and Coffea liberica were quantified and compared to *** chemiluminescence(ECL).2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydruzyl(DPPH).oxygen radical absorbance capacity,Folin-Ciocaltcau method and total tannin content assays were ***:Trolox equivalent(TE/g plant material) values obtained by ECL and DPPH methods showed loose correlation(r^2=0.587)while those measured by oxygen radical absorbance capacity assay were higher without correlation in each plant.A closer correlation was detected between the ECL method and the percentage antioxidant activity of the DPPH technique(r^2=0.610 7) in each species,however the immature pericarp of *** showed much higher DPPH scavenging potential than was seen in the ECL *** immature pericarp of *** expressed the highest tannin and polyphenol content,and a high polyphenol level was also detected in the immature seed of *** immature pericarp of Bengal and Liberian coffees showed the largest amount of phenolic ***:The obtained data highlight the potential role of *** as a new source of natural antioxidants and polyphenols compared to ***.

Effect of heating time on the structural,morphology,optical,and photocatalytic properties of graphitic carbon nitride(g-C3n4)nanosheets prepared at 550℃in Ar atmosphere is *** investigations are carried out by using x-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),UV-vis absorption,and photoluminescence(PL).At a heating temperature of 550℃,g-C3n4 nanocrystals are formed after 0.5 h and become more orderly as the heating time *** surface area of the g-C3n4 nanosheets significantly increases as the preparation time *** g-C3n4 prepared in 2.5 h shows the highest photocatalytic performance,decomposing completely 10 ppm RhB solution under xenon lamp irradiation for 2.0 h.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of He-Ne laser in combination with topical clindamycin in the treatment of AV at 108 Military Central Hospital from Oct 2015 to Aug 2016. Subjects and Methods: 61 patients with AV were divided into 2 groups: Group 1: 31 patients were treated with He-Ne laser in combination with topical Clindamycin, Group 2: 30 patients were only treated with topical clindamycin. Laser HE-NE was applied 2 times/week n>for 6 weeks. Result: After 3 months of treatment Group 1: very good—51n>n>.6%, good—48.4%. Group 2: very good—30%, good—50% and moderate—20%. Conclusion: n>The combination of He-Ne laser with topical clindamycin shows more rapid clinical improvement compared to topical clindamycin alone in the treatment of mild and moderate AV.

Complications in children with percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) placement

Introduction The aim of this study was to analyze the complication rates and mortality in association with different operative techniques of percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG),age,underlying diseases and other risk ***,analysis of the indications of PEG insertion and the underlying comorbidities was also *** This study performs a literature analysis of PEG-related complications in *** was searched on PubMed(R) (1994-2017) using terms 'percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy','complications','mortality' and 'children'.Results Eighteen articles with 4631 patients were *** mean age was 3 years (0-26 years).Operative techniques were:pull technique in 3507 (75.7%),1 stage PEG insertion in 449 (9.7%),introducer technique in 435 (9.4%),image-guided technique in 195 (4.2%) and laparoscopic-assisted PEG in 45 (1.6%).Most frequent indications for PEG insertion were dysphagia (n =859,32.6%),failure to thrive (n =723,27.5%) and feeding difficulties (n =459,17.4%).Minor complications developed in n 1518 patients (33%),including granulation (n =478,10.3%),local infection (n =384,8.3%) and leakage (n =279,6%).In 464 (10%) patients,major complications occurred;the most common were systemic infection (n =163,3.5%)and cellulitis (n =47,1%).Severe complication like perforation occurred in less than 0.3%.Patients with lethal outcomes (n =7,0.15%) had severe comorbidities;and the cause of mortality was sepsis in all *** or young age did not affect complication *** with ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt had higher risk of major *** high-risk patients,laparoscopic-assisted PEG insertion had less major and severe complication than traditional pull *** PEG is a safe operative technique;although minor complications are relatively common and occur in up to 1/3 of patients,there is a fairly low rate of severe ***-thirds of PEG patients have at least one ***

越南在近年来逐渐成为东南亚极具发展潜力的国家,尽管受新冠肺炎疫情影响增速下滑,但仍是世界上实现经济正增长的国家之一。目前,越南依然是一个中低收入的国家,所以国家的发展还必须依靠朝阳产业的发展。由于政府的资金有限,所以朝阳产业发展的过程中很大程度需要依靠外商直接投资来促进行业的发展。外商直接投资会对国内居民的收入造成影响,而且这种影响在各行业、各地区均存在差异。本文主要研究外商直接投资规模对越南重点行业、重点省份的外资企业的从业人员的收入水平的影响。首先,本文通过越南外商直接投资发展现状、越南六大重点行业发展现状进行阐述,然后通过实证分析研究外商直接投资对越南六大代表行业(电力行业、交通行业、制造业、软件与信息技术服务业行业、建筑行业及房地产行业)的影响。为使得研究更加深入,本文还对越南国六大省份展开实证研究,以六大省份(北部选取河内(H(?)n(?)i),海防(H(?)i Ph(?)ng),北宁(B(?)c ninh)三大省份,南部选取胡志明(H(?)Ch(?)Minh),铜奈((?)ng nai),平阳(B(?)nh D(?)ng)三大省份)的居民收入水平为样本,研究其是否受到外商直接投资的影响以及该影响的地区差异。结论认为,从行业、地区整体来看,外商直接投资能促进工资收入水平,但结构性差异也是存在的。其中,对于不同行业来说,外商直接投资提高了电力行业、交通行业、软件行业、建筑业的工资收入水平。而制造业的工资收入与外商直接投资呈现反方向变动关系。此外,外商直接投资在房地产行业并不能促进工资收入的提高,二者间无关系。对于越南不同地区来说,南部省份收入水平受到外商直接投资的贡献作用大于北部省份。最后本文得出实证分析的结果,提出具有针对性的政策建议。
