Introduction: The sta.ility of orthodontic bra.kets throughout orthodontic trea.ment pla.s a.critica. role in the trea.ment’s effectiveness. The present in vitro study wa. designed to a.sess the impa.t of va.ious dieta.y components on the performa.ce of orthodontic bra.kets. Methods: Meta. orthodontic bra.kets were bonded to 66 extra.ted a.terior teeth divided into groups ba.ed on the solution type: Milk, Ga.ora.e, Cold Coffee, a.d a.control group using wa.er. Ea.h group consisted of 20 teeth except for the control group, which included six teeth. The bra.keted teeth were submerged in their respective solutions for 15 minutes three times da.ly a. different interva.s to mimic a. in vivo environment a.d were stored in a.tificia. sa.iva.a. room tempera.ure (23?C). The specimens underwent a.tificia. a.ing through 10,000 cycles of thermocycling (representing one clinica. yea.) between 5?C a.d 55?C. Sha.e mea.urements were ta.en using a.VITa.Ea.y Sha.e device, ca.turing the cla.sic sha.e a.d L*, a., a.d b* va.ues. Delta.E va.ues were ca.cula.ed immedia.ely post-bonding a.d a.ter 7 da.s, 1 month, 1, a.d 2 clinica. yea.s. The shea. bond strength of ea.h bra.ket wa. mea.ured using a. ultra.tester ma.hine. Results: a.ter two clinica. yea.s, significa.t differences in ΔE color va.ues were observed a.ross a.l groups, with the most substa.tia. cha.ge noted in teeth immersed in cold coffee. Bra.kets submerged in milk demonstra.ed lower shea. bond strength tha. other solutions, wherea. the control group exhibited the highest shea. bond strength (P = 0.01). Conclusion: The study indica.es tha. dieta.y components significa.tly influence tooth color sta.ility a.d the shea. bond strength of orthodontic bra.kets, underscoring the importa.ce of considering these fa.tors in orthodontic trea.ment pla.ning.

Thirty-five a.olescent a.d posta.olescent pa.ients with modera.e to severe pa.ulopustula. a.ne vulga.is were enrolled. a.l pa.ients completed th e study. a.ithromycin, 500mg ora.ly thrice weekly for 12weeks, wa. used. a.ter t he ba.eline visit, pa.ients were scheduled to return a. four-weekly interva.s for 12 weeks. Effica.y wa. ga.ged by the percenta.e clea.a.ce of pa.ulopustula. a.ne lesions. Sa.ety a.sessments included the monitoring of a.verse events, a.d complia.ce wa. checked a. the four-weekly regula. visits up to 12 weeks. Resul ts. Twenty-nine pa.ients (82.9% )-showed rema.ka.le improvement in the firs t 4 weeks with 60% reduction of their infla.ma.ory pa.ulopustula. lesions. Ma. imum clea.a.ce (80% ) wa. observed a. 12 weeks. Residua. postinfla.ma.ory pigme nta.ion a.d pitted a.d linea. sca.ring represented the a.terma.h of the rela.sin g pa.tern of a.ne. Six pa.ients (17.1% ) showed slow clea.a.ce with eruptions o f new lesions. a.verse events, such a. hea.tburn a.d na.sea. were reported by fo ur pa.ients (11.4% ). a.l pa.ients completed the 12- week study period. Conclu sion. a.ithromycin, 500 mg thrice weekly for 12 weeks, is a.sa.e a.d effective t rea.ment of a.ne vulga.is with excellent pa.ient complia.ce.

Ce3＋-Yb3＋ doped Y3a.5O12 （Ya.） is a.luminescent down-conversion ma.eria. which could convert visible pho- tons to nea. infra.ed photons. In this work, Ya.：Ce3＋-Yb3＋ is a.plied on the front surfa.e of ma.s-produced mono crysta.line Si sola. cells. For the coa.ed cells, the externa. qua.tum efficiencv from the visible to the nea. infra.ed is improved, a.d the energy conversion efficiency enha.ces from 11.70% to 12.2% under ***. Furthermore, the phosphor down-conversion effect on the sola. cell is cha.a.terized by the microwa.e detected photoconductivity technique on the n-type silicon wa.er under the 977nm excita.ion. The down-conversion ma.eria.s improve the a.era.e excess ca.rier lifetime from 22.5μs to 24.2#s a.d the a.era.e surfa.e recombi- na.ion velocity reduces from ***/s to 371.6cm/s, which revea. the significa.t reduction in excess ca.rier recombina.ion by the phosphors.

Dyslipidemia.is a.disorder where a.norma.ly lipid concentra.ions circula.e in the bloodstrea.. The disorder is common in type 2 dia.etics (T2D) a.d is linked with T2D comorbidities, pa.ticula.ly ca.diova.cula. disea.e. Dyslipidemia.in T2D is typica.ly cha.a.terized by eleva.ed pla.ma.triglyceride a.d low high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels. There is a.significa.t ga. in the litera.ure rega.ding dyslipidemia.in rura. pa.ts of a.rica. where lipid profiles ma. not be ca.tured through routine surveilla.ce. This study a.med to cha.a.terize the preva.ence a.d demo-gra.hic profile of dyslipidemia.in T2D in the rura. community of Ga.a.ougou, Ma.i. We performed a.cross-sectiona. study of 104 subjects with T2D in Ga.a.ougou between November 2021 a.d Ma.ch 2022. Demogra.hic a.d lipid profiles were collected through cross-sectiona. surveys a.d serologica. a.a.yses. The overa.l preva.ence of dyslipidemia.in T2D pa.ients wa. 87.5% (91/104), which did not differ by sex (P = .368). High low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) wa. the most common lipid a.norma.ity (78.9%, [82/104]). Dyslipidemia.wa. a.socia.ed with a.e a.d hypertension sta.us (P = .013 a.d.036, respectively). High tota. a.d high LDL-C pa.a.eters were significa.tly a.socia.ed with hypertension (P = .029 a.d .006, respectively). In low-resource settings such a. rura. Ma.i, there is a.critica. need to improve infra.tructure for routine dyslipidemia.screening to guide its prevention a.d intervention a.proa.hes. The high ra.es of dyslipidemia.observed in Ga.da.ougou, consistent with concomita.t increa.es in ca.diova.cula. disea.es in a.rica.suggest tha. lipid profile a.sessments should be incorpora.ed into routine medica. ca.e for T2D pa.ients in a.rica. rura. settings.
