Experimental and numerical study of effecting core configurations on the static and dynamic behavior of honeycomb plate with aluminum material

The sandwich panel incorporated a honeycomb core, a widely utilized composite structure recognized as a fundamental classification of composite materials. Comprised a core resembling a honeycomb, possessing thickness and softness, and is flank by rigid face sheets that sandwich various shapes and materials. This paper presents an examination of the static and dynamic analysis of lightweight plates made of aluminum honeycomb sandwich composites. Honeycomb sandwich plate samples are 300 mm long, and 300 mm wide, the heights of the core have been varied at four values ranging from 10 to 25 mm. The honeycomb core is manufactured from Aluminum material by using a novel technique namely resistance spot welding (RSW) instead of using adhesive material, which is often used when an industrial flaw is detected. Numerical optimization based on response surface methodology (RSM) and design of experiment software (DOE) was used to verify the current work. A theoretical examination of the crashworthiness behavior (maximum bending load, maximum deflection) and vibration attributes (natural frequency, damping ratio, transient temporal response) of honeycomb sandwich panels with different design parameters was also carried out. In addition, the finite element method-based ANSYS software was used to confirm the theoretical conclusions. The findings of the present work showed that the relationship between the natural frequency, core height, and cell size is direct. In contrast, the relationship between the natural frequency and the thickness of the cell wall is inverse. Conversely, the damping ratio is inversely proportional to the core height and cell size but directly proportional to the thickness of the cell wall. The study indicates that altering the core height within 10-25 mm leads to a significant increase of 82 % in the natural frequency and a notable decrease of 49% in the damping ratio. Facilitators and barriers to colorectal cancer screening in an outpatient setting

BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer(CRC)is the third most common cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United ***,1 in 3 adults aged 50 years to 75 years have not been screened for *** detection and management of precancerous or malignant lesions has been shown to improve overall *** To determine the most significant facilitators and barriers to CRC screening in an outpatient clinic in rural North *** results of this study can then be used for quality improvement to increase the rate of patients ages 50 to 75 who are up to date on CRC *** This retrospective study examined 2428 patients aged 50 years to 75 years in an outpatient *** were up to date on CRC screening if they had fecal occult blood test or fecal immunochemical test in the past one year,Cologuard in the past three years,flexible sigmoidoscopy/virtual colonoscopy in the past five years,or colonoscopy in the past ten *** on patient socioeconomic status,comorbid conditions,and other determinants of health compliance were included as *** Age[odds ratio(OR)=1.058;P=0.017],no-show rate percent(OR=0.962;P<0.05),patient history of obstructive sleep apnea(OR=1.875;P=0.025),compliance with flu vaccinations(OR=1.673;P<0.05),compliance with screening mammograms(OR=2.130;P<0.05),and compliance with screening pap smears(OR=2.708;P<0.05)were important factors in determining whether a patient will receive CRC ***,gender,insurance or employment status,use of blood thinners,family history of CRC,or other comorbid conditions including diabetes,hypertension,congestive heart failure,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,and end-stage renal disease were not found to have a statistically significant effect on patient adherence to CRC *** Patient age,history of sleep apnea,and compliance with other health maintenance tests were significant facilitators to CRC screening,while no-show rate percent w

Microgrid Optimum Identification Location Based on Accelerated Particle Swarm Optimization Techniques Using SCADA System

The microgrid has become significant and commonly used;it has localized electricity sources and loads connected to a centralized electrical power network system when the need arises and disconnects to island mode. A microgrid can effectively be integrated with various distribution generators, which can improve the voltage level on the transmission line by reducing the real power losses. In this work, new technologies will permit power grids to be better prepared for future requirements. The numbers and diversity of such decentralized power plants require a new type of management in the operation of power grids and intelligent networks or “smart grid.” A SCADA system will improve coordination between power demand and generation and use of modern information technology such as the internet, sensors, controllers, and wireless transmission equipment and use smart metering. The Accelerated Particle Swarm Optimization technique will be used to select the optimum location of a wind turbine to install in the power grid considering minimum power losses with optimal operation consideration of the number of iterations, the execution time of the program, and the memory capacity. The analysis and the study are carried out in MATLAB and the SCADA system.

Characterization of the Crystal Structure of Sesame Seed Cake Burned by Nd: YAG Laser

This paper reports obtaining of useful and high-value materials from sesame seed cake (SSC). For this purpose, SSC sample was burned for 30 s using Nd: YAG laser with output power 60 W. The products of this process and non-burned SSC were characterized by X-ray diffractometer (XRD), energy dispersive x-ray (EDX) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) so as to investigate its crystal structure and chemical components. XRD results of the SSC before burning process showed amorphous silica, rhombohedral phase of carbon, monoclinic phase of aluminum chloride, the hexagonal phase of moissanite-4H, (yellow, black) and hexagonal phase of graphite-2H, C (black). While the results of the burned SSC sample showed that the burning process using the power of Nd: YAG laser cased in appearing of crystalline hexagonal phase for silica and Carbon Nitride and converting the rhombohedral phase of Carbon into hexagonal phase. FTIR showed a number of absorbance peaks assigned to silica.
