In this paper,we empirically show how wavelet decomposition can provide an easy vehicle to study the systematic risk properties of return series to serve as protocol for different traders who view the market with different time *** using the separate catalogue of Large Cap,Mid Cap and Small Cap stocks comprising S&P BSE-500 index of Indian capital market,we report that the conventional beta coefficients estimated from CAPM are essentially an average of wavelet betas but the later provides a resolution more appropriate and hence need to be considered in a realistic risk assessment of ***,the wavelet beta coefficients for Large Cap stocks are found more stable than Mid and Small capitali.ed *** paper is the first attempt of its kind to link the underlying methodology across different capitali.ed stocks to identify the precise beta in a complex market behavior.

BACKGROUND The most common technique for treating benign and early malignant rectal lesions is transanal endoscopic microsurgery(TEM).Local excision is an acceptable technique for high-risk and elderly patients,but there are hardly any data regarding young *** To describe TEM outcomes in patients under 50 years of *** We collected demographic,clinical,and pathological data from all patients under the age of 50 years who underwent the TEM procedure at Hasharon Rabin Medical Center from January 2005 to December *** During the study period,a total of 26 patients under the age of 50 years underwent TEM *** mean age was 43.3 ***(42.0%)were *** mean operative time was 67 min,and the mean tumor size was 2.39 cm,with a mean anal verge distance of 8.50 *** major intraoperative or postoperative complications were *** median length of stay was 2 ***(26.9%)lesions were adenomas with low-grade dysplasia,four(15.4%)were high-grade dysplasia adenomas,two were T1 carcinomas(7.8%),and three were T2 carcinomas(11.5%).No residual disease was found following endoscopic polypectomy in two patients(7.8%),but four(15.4%)had other *** margins were negative in all *** recurrence was detected in one patient 33 mo following *** Among young adult patients,TEM for benign rectal lesions has excellent *** may also offer a balance between the efficacy of complete oncologic resection and postoperative quality of life in the treatment of rectal *** some cases,it may be considered an alternative to radical surgery.

Ultra-processed foods have known negative implications for health;however,their effect on skeletal development has never been ***,we show that young rats fed ultra-processed food rich in fat and sugar suffer from growth retardation due to lesions in their tibial growth *** bone mineral density decreases significantly,and the structural parameters of the bone deteriorate,presenting a sieve-like appearance in the cortices and poor trabecular parameters in long bones and *** results in inferior mechanical performance of the entire bone with a high fracture *** sequence analysis of the growth plates demonstrated an imbalance in extracellular matrix formation and degradation and impairment of proliferation,differentiation and mineralization *** findings highlight,for the first time,the severe impact of consuming ultra-processed foods on the growing *** pathology extends far beyond that explained by the known metabolic effects,highlighting bone as a new target for studies of modern diets.

The purpose of the present study was to examine the genetic variation in Salamandra infraimmaculata from different breeding site habitats using the Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism (AFLP) method. The results of the dendogram from a hierarchical cluster analysis show that the grouping of S. infraimmaculata as cluster 5 differs from all the other clusters, including the St1 (Tel-Dan stream) population, which was the most predictable. Five Haplogroups (Hg) were characterized. The mean number of alleles per locus in each population (Ne) ranged from 10.566 (Sp1) to 2.720 (Po6). An average estimated heterozygosity (He) by population ranged from 0.100 (Po6) to 0.186 (St1). Population St1, a permanent breeding site where water was available all year round, exhibited the highest level of polymorphism, while population Po6, from the ephemeral breeding site, exhibited the lowest level of polymorphism. Gene flow between clusters showed that clusters 3 and 4 are sources of migrants and also receive gene flow, while clusters 1 and 2 may be a source of migrants but may not receive much gene flow. A phylogenetic analysis, based on clustering using Nei’s genetic distance, demonstrated that the Tel-Dan population is located on a separate branch within its sub-population. The conclusion of the present study shows that the genetic divergence among isolated populations is not correlated to distance but is affected by the variation of habitats.

Enzyme pattern of biliary colic: A counterintuitive picture

AIM To evaluate the diagnostic value of serial biochemical blood tests in the diagnosis of biliary *** Files were reviewed of 1039 patients who were admitted to the Share'e Zedek Medical Center emergency department between the years 2012-2013, and received the coding of acute biliary disease. Of these, the first 100 cases were selected that met the following criteria:(1) a diagnosis of biliary colic or symptomatic cholelithiasis;(2) at least two biochemical blood tests performed; and(3) 18 years of age or older. Patients with other acute biliary diseases were excluded. The biochemical profile of the patients was analyzed as were their clinical and radiological *** Three-quarters of the patients were women, whose average age of 37 years was younger than the averageof the men, at 50 years. According to their histories, 47% of the patients had previously known cholelithiasis. Pain in either the right upper quadrant or the epigastrium was the presenting symptom in 93% cases. The greatest change in serum biochemical results was seen during the first day of the patients' admissions. Alanine aminotransferase(ALT) showed the highest initial rise above the reference range, followed by aspartate aminotransferase(AST), gamma-glutamyl transferase(GGT), bilirubin and alkaline phosphatase(ALKP)- all these increases were statistically significant(P < 0.05). AST showed the sharpest decline followed by bilirubin and ALT. GGT and ALKP did not fall. A sharp rise and fall in liver enzymes, especially during the first day, most prominently in AST and ALT, was seen in 70% percent of cases. In 65% of cases trans-abdominal sonography did not give diagnostic *** Serial serum liver enzyme measurements are helpful in the initial diagnosis of acute biliary colic.
