Corrosiveness or scaling is an inherent threat to oil operations. The primary cause for this threat is the presence of water having complex geochemical matrix. Unanticipated water production, particularly if it contains unwanted impurities, can significantly impact hydrocarbon production. The current paper discusses the degree of threat posed to oil operation facilities based on the water characteristics. methodology involved the collection and analysis of water samples from major sources in oil industry such as groundwater, wellheads and seawater. The parameters tested include geochemical, microbiological and pollutants. The lab data was used to develop scaling and corrosion prediction indices such as Langelier Saturation Index (LSI), Ryznar Stability Index (RSI) and Puckorius Scaling Index (PSI). The study indicated varying water chemistry for different sources. mixing of those waters may lead to ionic saturation and scaling in different facilities. Presence of the SRB and GAB in some water sources also posed threat to water system by forming fouling and corrosion. Seawater used for offshore oilfields water injection to maintain reservoir pressure and improve oil recovery showed scaling tendency, whereas under different reservoir pressure, it can cause corrosion. Some of the samples also had corrosion residuals such as iron, which indicated active corrosion. Current study showed higher alkalinity with high sulfate for one groundwater sample with presence of active corrosion residuals such as dissolved iron and manganese. The study showed positive value for LSI which indicated supersaturation of the water samples with respect to calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and scale forming. Similarly, for RSI and PSI, the value was below six which confirmed the scaling potential for all the samples. Peatlands make a large carbon（C）pool but their carbon sink is susceptible and labile to fluctuations in land-use and climate especially moisture *** decomposition is effected by degradation in addition to litter quality and diversity components that’s why in peatlands litter decomposition is *** litter decomposition studies had well documented the effects of species richness and composition,whereas the effect of evenness（relative abundance）along with pristine and drained peatland got less *** this study,we explored the effect of diversity and evenness（relative abundance）on decomposition at two microsites of peatland as a pristine and drained by using a litter bag *** species including two bryophytes（nonvascular）species as Sphagnum flexuosum,Sphagnum magellanicum and two vascular species Potentilla fruticosa（dwarf shrub）and Carex lasiocarpa（sedge）were chosen as mono litter and 6 compositions with 3 ratios of relative abundance: m1（50%:50%）,m2（30%:70%）and m3（70%:30%）.Annually,mono litter results showed that mass loss（%）of vascular species（*** and ***）was significantly higher than the non-vascular species（*** and ***）on pristine and drained *** nutrients study,vascular species（*** and ***）showed greater C and N contents in pristine and drained peatlands than non-vascular species（*** and ***）therefore C/N contents were lower in vascular species than non-vascular *** using the General Linear model（GLm）,we found that diversity and evenness produce non-additive effects of litter mixing on mass loss but the direction for all the compositions was antagonistic which means that mass loss was not accelerated by litter mixing on both sites however evenness does not play a significant role in mass loss within each specific composition *** nutrients study,litter mixing produces non-additive effects on C content but in the case of N content（%）an

This study aimed to explore the potential of developing a novel cooling system combining a greenhouse and an earth-tube heat exchanger(ETHE).In this system,greenhouse air is circulated through the underneath soil mass to use the deep-soil cooling *** was achieved through the following ***,soil temperature profile inside and outside the cultivated greenhouse was monitored for almost one year to study the possibility of using deep-soil coldness for cooling the greenhouse ***,a prototype ETHE was built to practically investigate the potential reduction in air temperature as the air flows inside the deep earth ***,a prototype greenhouse was erected to study the ETHE *** from the first experiment revealed that soil temperature at a soil depth of 2.5 m inside the greenhouse offers good conditions to bury the *** soil temperature at this soil depth was below the maximum temperature(32℃)that most greenhouse crops can *** from the prototype ETHE showed a slight reduction in air temperature as it passed through the *** the prototype of the integrated greenhouse and ETHE system,reduction in air temperature was observed as the air passed through the ETHE *** night,the air was heated up across the ETHE pipes,indicating that the ETHE was working as a *** concluded from this study that greenhouses in arid climates can be cooled using the ETHE concept which would save a large amount of water that would otherwise be consumed in the evaporative *** investigations are highly encouraged.

With the increase of energy consumption worldwide in several domains such as industry,education,and transportation,several technologies played an inﬂuential role in energy conservation such as the Internet of Things(IoT).In this article,we describe the design and implementation of an IoT-based energy conser-vation smart classroom system that contributes to energy conservation in the edu-cation *** proposed system not only allows the user to access and control IoT devices(e.g.,lights,projectors,and air conditions)in real-time,it also has the capability to aggregate the estimated energy consumption of an IoT device,the smart classroom,and the building based on the energy consumption and cost model that we ***,the proposed model aggregates the estimated energy cost according to the Saudi Electricity Company(SEC)***,the model aggregates in real-time the estimated energy conservation percentage and estimated money-saving percentage compared to data collected when the system wasn't *** feasibility and beneﬁts of our system have been validated on a real-world scenario which is a classroom in the college of computer science and engineering,Taibah University,Yanbu *** results of the experimental studies are promising in energy conservation and cost-saving when using our proposed system.

Today,liver disease,or any deterioration in one’s ability to survive,is extremely common all around the *** research has indicated that liver disease is more frequent in younger people than in older *** the liver’s capability begins to deteriorate,life can be shortened to one or two days,and early prediction of such diseases is *** several machine learning(mL)approaches,researchers analyzed a variety of models for predicting liver disorders in their early *** a result,this research looks at using the Random Forest(RF)classifier to diagnose the liver disease early *** dataset was picked from the University of California,Irvine ***’s accomplishments are contrasted to those of multi-Layer Perceptron(mLP),Average One Dependency Estimator(A1DE),Support Vector machine(SVm),Credal Decision Tree(CDT),Composite Hypercube on Iterated Random Projection(CHIRP),K-nearest neighbor(KNN),Naïve Bayes(NB),J48-Decision Tree(J48),and Forest by Penalizing Attributes(Forest-PA).Some of the assessment measures used to evaluate each classifier include Root Relative Squared Error(RRSE),Root mean Squared Error(RmSE),accuracy,recall,precision,specificity,matthew’s Correlation Coefficient(mCC),F-measure,and *** has an RRSE performance of 87.6766 and an RmSE performance of 0.4328,however,its percentage accuracy is *** widely acknowledged result of this work can be used as a starting point for subsequent *** a result,every claim that a new model,framework,or method enhances forecastingmay be benchmarked and demonstrated.

Electroencephalogram(EEG)is a medical imaging technology that can measure the electrical activity of the scalp produced by the brain,measured and recorded chronologically the surface of the scalp from the *** recorded signals from the brain are rich with useful *** inference of this useful information is a challenging *** paper aims to process the EEG signals for the recognition of human emotions specifically happiness,anger,fear,sadness,and surprise in response to audiovisual *** EEG signals are recorded by placing neurosky mindwave headset on the subject’s scalp,in response to audiovisual stimuli for the mentioned *** a bandpass filter with a bandwidth of 1-100 Hz,recorded raw EEG signals are *** preprocessed signals then further analyzed and twelve selected features in different domains are *** Random forest(RF)and multilayer perceptron(mLP)algorithms are then used for the classification of the emotions through extracted *** proposed audiovisual stimuli based EEG emotion classification system shows an average classification accuracy of 80%and 88%usingmLP and RF classifiers respectively on hybrid features for experimental signals of different *** proposed model outperforms in terms of cost and accuracy.

Heart disease prognosis(HDP)is a difficult undertaking that requires knowledge and expertise to predict early *** failure is on the rise as a result of today’s *** healthcare business generates a vast volume of patient records,which are challenging to manage *** it comes to data mining and machine learning,having a huge volume of data is crucial for getting meaningful *** methods for predictingHDhave been used by researchers over the last few decades,but the fundamental concern remains the uncertainty factor in the output data,aswell as the need to decrease the error rate and enhance the accuracy of HDP assessment ***,in order to discover the optimal HDP solution,this study compares multiple classification algorithms utilizing two separate heart disease datasets from the Kaggle repository and the University of California,Irvine(UCI)machine learning *** a comparative analysis,mean Absolute Error(mAE),Relative Absolute Error(RAE),precision,recall,fmeasure,and accuracy are used to evaluate Linear Regression(LR),Decision Tree(J48),Naive Bayes(NB),Artificial Neural Network(ANN),Simple Cart(SC),Bagging,Decision Stump(DS),AdaBoost,Rep Tree(REPT),and Support Vector machine(SVm).Overall,the SVm classifier surpasses other classifiers in terms of increasing accuracy and decreasing error rate,with RAE of 33.2631 andmAEof 0.165,the precision of 0.841,recall of 0.835,f-measure of 0.833,and accuracy of 83.49 percent for the dataset gathered from *** SC improves accuracy and reduces the error rate for the Kaggle dataset,which is 3.30%for RAE,0.016 percent for mAE,0.984%for precision,0.984 percent for recall,0.984 percent for f-measure,and 98.44%for accuracy.

The aim of this research is to study the effect of using (Al-KHAmKHA) is stone cutting slurry waste local name in JORDAN on the unit weight and moisture content of Jerash cohesive soil Al-Khamkha which is the local name of the stone cutting slurry waste which is produced during the cutting operation, This water carries large amounts of stone powder, which leads to complex nature of environmental problem so these waste material needs to be utilized meaningfully in economic way. The degree of compaction of a soil is measured in terms of its dry unit weight Al-Khamkha mixed with Jerash cohesive soil at different amount ranges from 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, up to 50% and compaction characteristics of Jerash cohesive soil without and with different amount of Al-Khamkha was studied. This investigation show that as the amount of Al-Khamkha increase from 0% to 15%, the dry unit weight of Jerash cohesive soil increase from 14.4 KN/m3 at 0% of Al-Khamkha to 16.5 KN/m3 at 15% and after that .any increase of Al-Khamkha decrease the dry unit weight. On the other hand, the optimum water content of the Jerash cohesive soil was increases with increasing the percentage of Al-Khamkha on the cohesive soil.
