Plasma therapy is an extensively used treatment for critically unwell *** this procedure,a legitimate plasma donor who can continue to supply plasma after healing is ***,significant dangers are associated with supply management,such as the ambiguous provenance of plasma and the spread of infected or subpar blood into medicinal ***,from an ideological standpoint,less powerful people may be exploited throughout the contribution ***,there is a danger to the logistics system because there are now just some plasma *** research intends to investigate the blockchain-based solution for blood plasma to facilitate authentic plasma *** parameters,including electronic identification,chain code,and certified ledgers,have the potential to exert a substantial,profound influence on the distribution and implementation process of blood *** understand the practical ramifications of blockchain,the current study provides a proof of concept approach that aims to simulate the procedural code of modern plasma distribution ecosystems using a blockchain-based *** agent-based modeling used in the testing and evaluation mimics the supply chain to assess the blockchain’s feasibility,advantages,and constraints for the plasma.

With the increase of energy consumption worldwide in several domains such as industry,education,and transportation,several technologies played an inﬂuential role in energy conservation such as the Internet of Things(IoT).In this article,we describe the design and implementation of an IoT-based energy conser-vation smart classroom system that contributes to energy conservation in the edu-cation *** proposed system not only allows the user to access and control IoT devices(e.g.,lights,projectors,and air conditions)in real-time,it also has the capability to aggregate the estimated energy consumption of an IoT device,the smart classroom,and the building based on the energy consumption and cost model that we ***,the proposed model aggregates the estimated energy cost according to the Saudi Electricity Company(SEC)***,the model aggregates in real-time the estimated energy conservation percentage and estimated money-saving percentage compared to data collected when the system wasn't *** feasibility and beneﬁts of our system have been validated on a real-world scenario which is a classroom in the college of computer science and engineering,Taibah University,Yanbu *** results of the experimental studies are promising in energy conservation and cost-saving when using our proposed system.

half-metallic ferromagnetism,mechanical as well as thermoelectric properties for rare earth-based spinels Mgho_(2)Z_(4)(Z=S,Se)were investigated using density functional theory(DFT).Structural optimization was done with Perdew-Burke-Ehrenzorf(PBE)sol-generalized gradient approximation(GGA)to calculate the lattice constant of both spinels comparable to experimental *** addition,Born stability criteria and negative formation energy show that our studied spinels are also structurally and dynamically stable in the cubic *** ferromagnetic(FM)state stability,we also calculated the energy differences among FM,antiferromagnetic(AFM),and non-magnetic(NM)***,Curie temperatures of ferromagnetic phases were also *** used Trans-Blaha improved BeckeJohnson(TB-mBJ)potential functional for electronics as well as magnetic characteristics,which lead to the consistent explanation of half-metallic ferromagnetism,representing the whole band-occupancy in material with exact detail of density of states(DOS).The stable FM state was examined in spinels due to the exchange splitting of ho cation consisting of p-d hybridizations compatible with the result achieved for electronics band structure and ***,spin magnetic moment was explained in terms of anion,cation,and sharing charge on studied *** addition,the calculated thermoelectric properties clearly show that operation range of these systems may be utilized by future experimental works for identifying the potential applications of these systems.

Spinal dural arteriovenous fistulas account for the majority of spinal vascular *** are typically located in the thoracolumbar region and are diagnosed in the middle-aged and elderly *** spinal dural arteriovenous fistulas have been postulated to be acquired,their exact development remains ***,the arteriovenous shunt is situated close to the spinal nerve root,inside the dura mater,where the blood from the radiculomeningeal artery and radicular vein *** history,there have been multiple classification systems of spinal arteriovenous shunts since *** were mainly based on the evolution of diagnostic studies as well as the treatment of these *** classification systems have undergone significant changes over the *** intracranial dural arteriovenous fistula,spinal dural arteriovenous fistula is progressive in *** neurological manifestations,due to venous congestion,tend to be insidious as well as *** include sensory deficits,such as paresthesia,bilateral and/or unilateral radicular pain affecting the lower limbs,and gait *** dural arteriovenous fistulas can be suspected on magnetic resonance imaging/magnetic resonance angiography and confirmed by digital subtraction angiography(DSA).The management includes surgery,endovascular therapy,and in selected cases,*** treatment goal of spinal dural arteriovenous fistula is to halt the progression of the *** prognosis depends on both the duration of symptoms as well as the clinical condition prior to *** present article comprehensively reviews the pathophysiology,changes in classification systems,natural history,clinical manifestations,radiological features,management,and prognosis.

Optimizing Average Electric Power During the Charging of Lithium-Ion Batteries Through the Taguchi Method

In recent times, lithium-ion batteries have been widely used owing to their high energy density, extended cycle lifespan, and minimal self-discharge rate. The design of high-speed rechargeable lithium-ion batteries faces a significant challenge owing to the need to increase average electric power during charging. This challenge results from the direct influence of the power level on the rate of chemical reactions occurring in the battery electrodes. In this study, the Taguchi optimization method was used to enhance the average electric power during the charging process of lithium-ion batteries. The Taguchi technique is a statistical strategy that facilitates the systematic and efficient evaluation of numerous experimental variables. The proposed method involved varying seven input factors, including positive electrode thickness, positive electrode material, positive electrode active material volume fraction, negative electrode active material volume fraction, separator thickness, positive current collector thickness, and negative current collector thickness. Three levels were assigned to each control factor to identify the optimal conditions and maximize the average electric power during charging. Moreover, a variance assessment analysis was conducted to validate the results obtained from the Taguchi analysis. The results revealed that the Taguchi method was an eff ective approach for optimizing the average electric power during the charging of lithium-ion batteries. This indicates that the positive electrode material, followed by the separator thickness and the negative electrode active material volume fraction, was key factors significantly infl uencing the average electric power during the charging of lithium-ion batteries response. The identification of optimal conditions resulted in the improved performance of lithium-ion batteries, extending their potential in various applications. Striving for cleaner production is a sought-after manufacturing *** stir welding(FSW)is a joiningtechnique with par excellence and far less invasive to the environment than even best conventional welding *** is energyefficient and free from consumables,affluent and *** is,thus,accepted as a clean welding process that can produceacceptable quality *** suffers from some major challenges of defects of its own kind that subject the process open toimprovements so as to prove itself a reliable production *** study presents a holistic characterization of defects commonlyfound in FSW *** finding of the present study reveals that most defects are caused by inadequate heat generation,impropermaterial movement around the pin and inadequate material consolidation behind the *** amount of heat generation andmaterial stirring depends on several FSW parameters which may lead to the defect formation,if not selected *** resultsreported in this work are derived from sound literature support and *** are made in the form ofcharacteristics of defects such as likelihood of their location,main responsible parameters along with the recommendations forminimizing them.

Chronological age estimation using panoramic dental X-ray images is an essential task in forensic *** statistical approaches have proposed by considering the teeth and ***,building automated dental age estimation based on machine learning techniques needs more research *** this paper,an automated dental age estimation is proposed using transfer *** the proposed approach,features are extracted using two deep neural networks namely,AlexNet and *** classifiers are proposed to perform the classification task including decision tree,k-nearest neighbor,linear discriminant,and support vector *** proposed approach is evaluated using a number of suitable performance metrics using a dataset that contains 1429 dental X-ray *** obtained results show that the proposed approach has a promising performance.

A multi-faceted Case Area Targeted Intervention (CATI) approach emphasizing the integration of Water, Sanitation and hygiene (WASh) interventions and Oral Cholera Vaccine (OCV) campaign was employed to respond to the outbreak of cholera in Garissa County. Drinking water sources in areas heavily impacted by cholera were systematically mapped and tested for microbiological quality. The quality assessment was carried out in April 2023 during an ongoing cholera outbreak in the county. A total of 109 samples were collected and tested for thermotolerant coliforms and other in situ parameters. The finding revealed that more than 87% of the samples did not meet the World health Organization (WhO) standard for thermotolerant coliforms;and 30% had turbidity values above the recommended threshold values. None of the 109 samples had any traceable residual chlorine. Following these findings, the county government implemented the targeted interventions which resulted in a positive impact in the fight against cholera. The WhO supported key interventions which included capacity building in water quality monitoring and prepositioning of critical WASh commodities to the cholera affected areas.
