Enhancement of solar-driven photocatalytic activity of oxygen vacancy-rich Bi/BiOBr/Sr_(2)LaF_(7)∶Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)composites through synergetic strategy of upconversion function and plasmonic effect

For better use of solar energy,the development of efficient broadband photocatalyst has attracted extraordinary attention.In this study,a ternary composite consisting of Sr_(2)LaF_(7)∶Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)upconversion(UC)nanocrystals and Bi nanoparticles loaded BiOBr nanosheets with oxygen vacancies(OVs,SLFBB)was designed and synthesized by multi-step solvent-thermal method.Mechanisms of in-situ formation of Bi nanoparticles and OVs in BiOBr/Sr_(2)LaF_(7)∶Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)composites(SFLB)are clarified.The Bi metal and OVs enhanced the light-harvesting capacity in the region of visible-near-infrared(Vis-NIR),and promoted the separation of electron-hole(e-/h+)pairs.Furthermore,the surface plasmon resonance(SPR)effect of Bi metal can improve the energy transfer from Sr_(2)LaF_(7)∶Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)to BiOBr via nonradiative energy transfer process,resulting in enhancing the light utilization from up-converting NIR into Vis light.Due to the synergistic effects of UC function,SPR and OVs,the SFLBB exhibited obviously enhanced photocatalytic ability for the degradation of BPA with a rate of 8.9×10^(-3) min^(-1),which is about 2.78 times higher than 3.2×10^(-3) min^(-1) of BiOBr(BOB)under UV-Vis-NIR light irradiation.This work provides a novel strategy for the project of high-efficiency Bismuth-based broadband photocatalysts,which is helpful to fur-ther understand the mechanism of enhanced photocatalysis by UC function and plasmonic effect.

This paper presents a unique and formal method of quantifying the similarity or distance between sedimentary facies successions from measured sections in outcrop or drilled wells and demonstrates its first application in inverse stratigraphic modeling. A sedimentary facies succession is represented with a string of symbols, or facies codes in its natural vertical order, in which each symbol brings with it one attribute such as thickness for the facies. These strings are called attributed strings. A similarity measure is defined between the attributed strings based on a syntactic pattern-recognition technique. A dynamic programming algorithm is used to calculate the similarity. Inverse stratigraphic modeling aims to generate quantitative 3D facies models based on forward stratigraphic modeling that honors observed datasets. One of the key techniques in inverse stratigraphic modeling is how to quantify the similarity or distance between simulated and observed sedimentary facies successions at data locations in order for the forward model to condition the simulation results to the observed dataset such as measured sections or drilled wells. This quantification technique comparing sedimentary successions is demonstrated in the form of a cost function based on the defined distance in our inverse stratigraphic modeling implemented with forward modeling optimization.

Spatial configuration of sand and mud in the lacustrine nearshore sand bar deposits and its geological implications

Different configurational orders of sand bodies and interlayers in lacustrine nearshore sand bar reservoirs frequently interact,causing complicated genesis and distribution of argillaceous sediments,as well as other issues.This paper investigates the spatial configuration of sand and mud in the sand bar reservoir,and analyzes its internal structure.Modern sand bar deposits in the Xiashan Lake,Shandong Province,China,were analyzed and compared with the sand bar reservoirs of the Member 2 of the Paleogene Shahejie Formation in the Banqiao Sag,China.The configurational mode of sand bar deposits was explored from the perspective of the spatial distribution and composition relationships between sand and mud.Based on the alternate deposition characteristics of sand and mud in the longitudinal direction,lacustrine nearshore sand bars can be divided into three sedimentary combination patterns:thin-sand and thin-mud interbed pattern,thick-mud thick-sand pattern,and thin-mud thick-sand pattern.Their mud components manifest as the deposition of fine-grained lithofacies of multiple genetic types.These include(semi-)deep lacustrine mud,sand and mud interbedded beach,argillaceous sediments in the water retention area behind the bar,and fall-silt seams that resulted from flood discharge.By summarizing the specific developmental locations and sequential relationships of each fine-grained argillaceous facies in modern sand bar deposits,a depositional process-based argillaceous sediment composition model is proposed.Based on this,this paper discusses the spatial configuration of sand bodies and argillaceous sediments in sand bar reservoirs,and introduces the typical stratigraphic structures of sand bars in two environments,i.e.,vertical superposition and lateral migration.In lacustrine nearshore sand bar reservoirs,the deposition and preservation degrees of mud mainly depend on three factors:accommodation space change,frequency of base-level cycles,and exposure-erosion time.These in turn influence the continuity and relative conte

Gel-state polybenzimidazole proton exchange membranes with flexible alkyl sulfonic acid side chains for a wider operating temperature range(25–240 ℃)

High-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cells(HT-PEMFC) possess distinct technical advantages of high output power, simplified water/heat management, increased tolerance to fuel impurities and diverse fuel sources, within the temperature range of 120–200 ℃. However, for practical automobile applications, it was crucial to broaden their low-temperature operating window and enable cold start-up capability. Herein, gel-state phosphoric acid(PA) doped sulfonated polybenzimidazole(PBI) proton exchange membranes(PEMs) were designed and synthesized via PPA sol-gel process and in-situ sultone ring-opening reactions with various proton transport pathways based on absorbed PA, flexible alkyl chain connected sulfonic acid groups and imidazole sites. The effects of flexible alkyl sulfonic acid side chain length and content on PA doping level, proton conductivity, and membrane stability under different temperature and relative humidity(RH) were thoroughly investigated. The prepared gel-state membranes contained a self-assembled lamellar and porous structure that facilitated the absorption of a large amount of PA with rapid proton transporting mechanisms. At room temperature, the optimized membrane exhibited a proton conductivity of 0.069 S cm^(-1), which was further increased to 0.162 and 0.358 S cm^(-1)at 80 and 200 ℃, respectively, without additional humidification. The most significant contribution of this work was demonstrating the feasibility of gel-state sulfonated PBI membranes in expanding HT-PEMFC application opportunities over a wider operating range of 25 to 240 ℃.

目前的多点地质统计建模方法均以一定维度的数据模板为载体,将概率或几何距离作为建模工区未知区域模拟取值的判定标准,该判定标准在地质建模时与地质含义的联系较为薄弱。针对上述不足,文章回归地质建模的本质,考虑相建模过程中数据事件与训练图型对比的地质含义,提出基于相序的多点地质统计相建模方法。该方法以具有沉积学意义的相序为基本的相似度对比单元,新建适合于相序相似度对比的动态数据模板,采用句法模式识别技术,通过动态规划方法计算数据事件中已知相序与训练图型中对应相序的相似度,对建模工区未知区域进行相模拟,实现了从沉积学意义出发对强非均质性储层进行多点地质统计学建模。理想模型和塔河X区三角洲前缘储层沉积相模拟表明,本文方法能够有效重现训练图像所显示的各地质体的几何形态,较好地反映储层不同相的沉积展布规律,大幅提高了相建模的精度。该方法将沉积学与多点地质统计学有效结合,提出了一种全新的多点地质统计学相似度对比方法和多点地质统计学建模框架,为复杂储层的相建模提供了一种新的方法。

pyvine:The Python Package for Regular Vine Copula Modeling,Sampling and Testing

Regular vine copula provides rich models for dependence structure modeling.It combines vine structures and families of bivariate copulas to construct a number of multivariate distributions that can model a wide range dependence patterns with different tail dependence for different pairs.Two special cases of regular vine copulas,C-vine and D-vine copulas,have been extensively investigated in the literature.We propose the Python package,pyvine,for modeling,sampling and testing a more generalized regular vine copula(R-vine for short).R-vine modeling algorithm searches for the R-vine structure which maximizes the vine tree dependence in a sequential way.The maximum likelihood estimation algorithm takes the sequential estimations as initial values and uses L-BFGS-B algorithm for the likelihood value optimization.R-vine sampling algorithm traverses all edges of the vine structure from the last tree in a recursive way and generates the marginal samples on each edge according to some nested conditions.Goodness-of-fit testing algorithm first generates Rosenblatt’s transformed data E and then tests the hypothesis H^(∗)_(0):E∼C_(⊥)by using Anderson–Darling statistic,where C_(⊥)is the independence copula.Bootstrap method is used to compute an adjusted p-value of the empirical distribution of replications of Anderson–Darling statistic.The computing of related functions of copulas such as cumulative distribution functions,Hfunctions and inverse H-functions often meets with the problem of overflow.We solve this problem by reinvestigating the following six families of bivariate copulas:Normal,Student t,Clayton,Gumbel,Frank and Joe’s copulas.Approximations of the above related functions of copulas are given when the overflow occurs in the computation.All these are implemented in a subpackage bvcopula,in which subroutines are written in Fortran and wrapped into Python and,hence,good performance is guaranteed.

Review of research in internal-wave and internal-tide deposits of China

Study of internal-wave and internal-tide deposits is a very young research field in deep-water sedimentology. It has been just twenty years since the first example of internal-wave and internal-tide deposits was identified in the stratigraphic record. Since that time, Chinese scholars have made unremitting efforts and gained some significant research achievements in this field. This paper briefly outlines the history and main achievements of research of internal-wave and internal-tide deposits in China, describes depositional charac-teristics, sedimentary successions, types of lithofacies, and depositional models of internal-wave and internal-tide deposits identified mainly from ancient strata, and summarizes the existing problems in this research field. New advances in marine physics should be applied to research of the subject of internal-wave and internal-tide deposition, whereas the sedimentary characteristics of internal-wave and internal-tide deposits may be used to deduce the physical processes of their creation. Flume experiments on internal-wave and internal-tide deposition should also be put in practice as often as possible, so that the mechanisms of internal-wave and internal-tide deposition can be explored.

Cobalt sulfides as efficient catalyst towards oxygen reduction reactions

Developing low-cost and high performance catalysts to replace precious metal based catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) is one of the most feasible ways to promote the commercial application of fuel cells.In this work,flower-like CoS and octahedral CoS_2 are synthesized by a facile one-pot hydrothermal method without any adjunction of surfactants or follow-up thermolysis,their catalytic performance towards ORR in alkaline electrolyte are comparatively investigated.The results reveal that CoS_2 outperforms CoS owing to the higher electron density around S-S bond of S_2^(2-) in the crystal structure,which promotes the adsorption of oxygen on catalyst surface and facilitates the breakage of O-O bond in oxygen,leading to direct 4-electron transfer ORR.When CoS_2 particles are dispersed on the surface of rGO with large surface area,their ORR performance could be further improved.

Synergistic effect of N- and F-codoping on the structure and photocatalytic performance of TiO_2

Three types of TiO2 nanostructures were synthesized via a facile hydrolysis method at195 °C. Effects of the preparation method and doping with N and F on the crystal structure and photocatalytic performance of TiO2 were investigated. The nanomaterials were characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Brunauer–Emmett–Teller porosimetry, ultraviolet–visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and fluorescent emission spectra. Their photo-catalytic activity was examined by the photodegradation of methylene blue in aqueous solution under both ultra-violet and visible light irradiation. The results show that nitrogen and fluorine co-doped anatase TiO2 had the characteristics of a smaller crystalline size, broader light absorption spectrum and lower charge recombination than pure TiO2. Most importantly, more efficient photocatalytic activity under both ultra-violet and visible light was observed. The obtained N–F-TiO2 nanomaterial shows considerable potential for water treatment under sunlight irradiation.

环境承载力理论的研究,对于指导人类社会经济活动,协调人类发展与环境的关系,具有十分重要而迫切的现实意义。论述了环境承载力概念的发展过程,并从"容量"、"阈值"和"能力"3方面介绍了环境承载力定义,指出了环境承载力具有的主要特征。在此基础上,对目前国内外用于环境承载力定量化研究的方法进行了介绍。以河北省为例,介绍了河北省概况,具体分析讨论了河北省综合环境承载力,运用环境承载率评价法把河北省环境综合承载力分成水环境承载力,土地承载力,大气环境承载力和城市声环境承载力4个单要素进行了研究,其承载率分别为2.37,0.84,0.579,0.946。运用加权平均法计算得出石家庄市综合环境承载率为1.4。提高河北省综合环境承载力提出了建议。
