Analyzing Arabic Twitter-Based Patient Experience Sentiments Using Multi-Dialect Arabic Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers

Healthcare organizations rely on patients’feedback and experiences to evaluate their performance and services,thereby allowing such organizations to improve inadequate services and address any *** to the literature,social networks and particularly Twitter are effective platforms for gathering public ***,recent studies have used natural language processing to measure sentiments in text segments collected from Twitter to capture public opinions about various sectors,including *** present study aimed to analyze Arabic Twitter-based patient experience sentiments and to introduce an Arabic patient experience *** authors collected 12,400 tweets from Arabic patients discussing patient experiences related to healthcare organizations in Saudi Arabia from 1 January 2008 to 29 January *** tweets were labeled according to sentiment(positive or negative)and sector(public or private),and thereby the Hospital Patient Experiences in Saudi Arabia(HoPE-SA)dataset was produced.A simple statistical analysis was conducted to examine differences in patient views of healthcare *** authors trained five models to distinguish sentiments in tweets automatically with the following schemes:a transformer-based model fine-tuned with deep learning architecture and a transformer-based model fine-tuned with simple architecture,using two different transformer-based embeddings based on Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers(BERT),Multi-dialect Arabic BERT(MAR-BERT),and multilingual BERT(mBERT),as well as a pretrained word2vec model with a support vector machine *** is the first study to investigate the use of a bidirectional long short-term memory layer followed by a feedforward neural network for the fine-tuning of *** deep-learning fine-tuned MARBERT-based model—the authors’best-performing model—achieved accuracy,micro-F1,and macro-F1 scores of 98.71%,98.73%,and 98.63%,respectively.

We aim to evaluate the incidence of incontinence following laser endoscopic enucleation of the prostate(EEP)comparing en-bloc(Group 1)versus 2-lobe/3-lobe techniques(Group 2).We performed a retrospective review of patients undergoing EEP for benign prostaticenlargement in 12 centers between January 2020 and January *** were presented as median and interquartile range(IQR).Univariable and multivariable logistic regression analysis was performed to evaluate factors associated with stress urinary incontinence(SUI)and mixed urinary incontinence(MUI).There were 1711 patients in Group 1 and 3357 patients in Group *** in Group 2were significantly younger(68[62–73]years vs 69[63–74]years,P=0.002).Median(interquartile range)prostate volume(PV)wassimilar between the groups(70[52–92]ml in Group 1 vs 70[54–90]ml in Group 2,P=0.774).There was no difference in preoperativeInternational Prostate Symptom Score,quality of life,or maximum flow ***,morcellation,and total surgical time weresignificantly shorter in Group *** 1 month,overall incontinence rate was 6.3%in Group 1 versus 5.3%in Group 2(P=0.12),and urge incontinence was significantly higher in Group 1(55.1%vs 37.3%in Group 2,P<0.001).After 3 months,the overall rate ofincontinence was 1.7%in Group 1 versus 2.3%in Group 2(P=0.06),and SUI was significantly higher in Group 2(55.6%vs 24.1%in Group 1,P=0.002).At multivariable analysis,PV and IPSS were factors significantly associated with higher odds of transient SUI/***,surgical time,and no early apical release technique were factors associated with higher odds of persistent SUI/MUI.

Delayed Grafting as a Valid Technique in Burn Management: Experience from a Burn Unit in Oman

Background: Early excision and grafting has been the preferred method of managing major burns around the world since 1970. Considering the advances in health care and the development of new antibiotics over the past 50 years, delayed grafting as a technique for the management of burns over 15%-20% of total body surface area (TBSA) could have comparable results to that of early excision. This study aims to highlight the outcomes of practicing delayed grafting in burn patients. Methods: A case series analysis was performed of 51 patients who were admitted to the burns unit in Sultan Qaboos Hospital Salalah with over 20% TBSA between January 2014 and December 2019. The patients received prophylactic antibiotics and silver sulphadiazine dressing until the burn eschar had completely separated, followed by grafting. Results: Two patients were lost during the entire duration of the study. The mortality rate was comparable to that of early excision, while the rate of hypertrophic scarring was lower than the range reported by other studies. Conclusion: In the management of patients with over 20% TBSA, delayed grafting after complete separation of eschar is still a valid technique.

Awareness of Radiologists and Radiographers toward Patient Care in the Interventional Radiology Department

Background: The hospitals and health care centres are organized around the patient, a model in which healthcare providers partner with patients and families to identify and satisfy patients’ needs and preferences. Providers respect patients’ values and preferences, address their emotional and social needs, and involve them and their families in decision making. According to the best of our knowledge, there is no evidence to prove, radiologists and radiographers are aware enough about the patient safety, care, and code of conduct with their patients in the interventional radiology department. Objective: This article aims to measure the awareness of radiologists and radiographers toward care and safety in an interventional radiology department. Material and Method: This study was carried in period from 15 February to 20 April 2022. One hundred sixty-four radiographers and radiologists participating in this study completed the questionnaire, which equals a response rate of approximately 82%. The questionnaire was fully completed by almost all responders;only a few of them gave partial answers. Results: The first question for radiographers and radiologists was “the sufficient awareness about the patient safety and care during the interventional radiology procedure. Also, the majority of the radiographers and radiologists are providing the patients with sufficient information when he/she ask for help or queries. A large number of radiographers and radiologists were participating in this study explaining the procedures to patients before starting the examinations in a structured way. Finally, the result shows both radiographers and radiologists respect the patient’s rights, privacy, and dignity and also kept the radiation protection during the interventional radiology procedures. Presently, there is a growing interest in herbal remedies. Neem (Azadirachta indica) has been used in traditional medicine over centuries. In the present study, the effects of water extracts of Azadirachta indica seeds, stems, flowers and bark on the changes of hemoglobin content (Hb) and glucose levels in the blood of Rattus norvegicus were investigated. Different doses of A. indica water extracts of seeds, stems, flowers and bark were injected to the tested animals every 48 h for 14 days. Significant decrease in both hemoglobin content and glucose levels in the blood samples in all groups of injected rats were compared to control group. However, in all groups higher decrease was shown in the rats injected with 1 g·mL-1 of A. indica water extracts. In addition, the present study showed no significant relationship between decreased hemoglobin content and glucose levels in blood samples, and increased doses injected. In conclusion, A. indica has the potential to decrease both hemoglobin content and blood glucose levels.

The impact of Saudi Arabian Vision 2030 on the evolution and growth of the nursing profession

From 2010 to 2016,the proportion of Saudi nursing staff began to decline due to various factors,including the life expectancy of the Saudi population,which has increased from age 69 in 1990 to age 76 in 2012 Also,from 1990 to 2012,Saudi Arabia’s population increased by 2.5%annually,which would result in a rise in healthcare ***,the bad image about nursing profession,and the perception that is insignificant profession and less efficient than other occupations,influence the public views to join the nursing *** The Saudi Arabian Vision 2030 was implemented,it positively affected the Saudi ***,this study aimed to describe the influence of the Vision on the nursing *** data was pulled from the Ministry of Health was used to do a Descriptive Comparative Research Design to compare between the number of nurses when the Vision was implemented with the years after *** revealed that the growth rate of the number of nurses increased by 9%to 10%after the implementation of the *** findings underscore the well-established policies of the Saudi Arabian Vision 2030 that have a positive impact on the nursing profession.

Controlling hyperchaotic complex systems with unknown parameters based on adaptive passive method

The aim of this paper is to study the control of hyperchaofic complex nonlinear systems with unknown parameters using passive control theory. An approach is stated to design the passive controller and estimate the unknown parameters based on the property of the passive system. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated through its application to the hyperchaotic complex Lu system, as an example. The estimated values of the unknown parameters are calculated. The analytical form of the complex controller is derived and used in the numerical simulation to control the hyperchaotic attractors of this example. Block diagrams of this example using Matlab/Simulink are constructed after and before the control to ensure the validity of the analytical results. Other examples of hyperchaotic complex nonlinear systems can be similarly treated.
