Background:Vestibular migraine(VM)is a common cause of dizziness that is underrecognized,underdiagnosed,and challenging to effectively *** prevalence,appropriate diagnostic workup,and therapies for VM in low-and lower-middle-income countries(LLMICs)remain *** objective of this scoping review is to evaluate the current state of VM research in ***:PubMed,Embase,and Web of Science databases were searched to execute a scoping review of ***“vestibular diseases”and“vertigo”were used in combination with terms referring to LLMICs as defined by the World *** and abstract screening,full-text review,and data collection were conducted by two authors ***:Twenty-six studies were included in the scoping *** studies were cross-sectional(57.7%)or case studies/series(23.1%)and were conducted in urban settings only(92.3%).Geographic distribution of studies was skewed,with 65.4%of articles originating from *** prevalence of VM among clinic patients ranged from 0.3%to 33.3%.VM most frequently presented as headache,nausea and vomiting,and *** imaging,audiometry,and electronystagmography/videonystagmography were the three most commonly utilized diagnostic modalities in the dizziness *** most studied pharmacotherapies included calcium channel blockers,followed by beta-blockers and *** studies and series discussed less common VM pharmacotherapies,such as ayurvedic ***:There is a need for more VM research in LLMICs,including innovative diagnostic approaches and therapies that can improve VM care *** partnerships between LLMIC and highincome country researchers must expand vestibular research capacity and productivity in LLMICs.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between lower urinary tract symptoms （LUTSs）, erectile dysfunction （ED） and symptomatic late-onset hypogonadism （SLOH） in ageing men in the Aegean region of Turkey. Five hundred consecutive patients 〉40 years old who had been in a steady sexual relationship for the past 6 months and were admitted to one of six urology clinics were included in the study. Serum prostate-specific antigen and testosterone levels and urinary flow rates were measured. All patients filled out the International Prostate Symptom Score and Quality of Life （IPSS-QoL）, International Index of Erectile Function （IIEF） and Aging Males＇ Symptoms （AMS） scale forms. Of the patients, 23.9% had mild LUTSs, 53.3% had moderate LUTSs and 22.8% had severe LUTSs. The total testosterone level did not differ between groups. Additionally, 69.6% had ED. The presence of impotence increased with increasing LUTS severity. Symptomatic late-onset hypogonadism （AMS 〉27） was observed in 71.2% of the patients. The prevalence of severe hypogonadism symptoms increased with the IPSS scores. A correlation analysis revealed that all three questionnaire scores were significantly correlated. In conclusion, LUTS severity is an age-independent risk factor for ED and SLOH. LUTS severity and SLOH symptoms appear to have a strong link that requires etiological and biological clarification in future studies.

The study on the deposition efficiency of pesticide droplets on soybean leaves can provide the basis for reducing pesticide quantity and increasing pesticide efficiency during the application of soybean plant protection *** movement behavior of droplet impinges on the plant leaf surface is affected by many factors,among which the most important and the easiest to adjust are spray droplet size and impingement *** changing the droplet size and impact velocity and using Fluent simulation software,the pesticide droplet hitting the soybean leaf surface was simulated and a test platform was established to verify the simulation *** conclusions are as follows:The longitudinal roughness of soybean leaves is higher than the transverse roughness,the longitudinal pressure of soybean leaves is higher than the transverse pressure during the impact process,and the velocity of droplet spreading along the longitudinal is lower than that of spreading along the transverse;although soybean leaf surface has high adhesion,droplet losses still exist when droplet impact velocity is relatively *** maximum spreading diameter of the droplet increases first and then decreases with the increase of impact *** the same time,the maximum spreading diameter of droplet increases with the increase of particle *** droplet deposition was best at 1.34 m/s impact velocity and 985μm particle *** conclusion can provide optimal operation parameters for soybean plant protection operation which can be used to guide soybean plant protection operation,improve control effect,reduce quantity and increase efficiency.

＜正＞This paper deals with basic concepts, mathematics, and design aspects of variable structure controller based on sliding mode as a principle operation approach. After reviewing the operation of the plant, a variable-structure system （VSS） based scheme is formulated to control the outflow rate. The scheme is then designed and tested by Simulink Toolbox Ver. 3. 0 of Matlab Ver. 6P5. Simulations are presented and have shown that VSS control is better and more versatile compared with the conventional approach using PID controller.

Clusterization of Surface Water Quality and Its Relation to Climate and Land Use/Cover

The quality of surface water is rapidly changing due to climatic variations, natural processes, and anthropogenic activities. The objectives of this study were to classify and analyze the surface water quality of 12 major rivers of Alberta on the basis of 17 parameters during the period of five years (i.e., 2004-2008) using principal component analysis (PCA), total exceedance model and clustering technique. Seven major principal components (PCs) with variability of about 89% were identified. These PCs were the indicators of watershed geology, mineralization and anthropogenic activities related to land use/cover. The seven dominant parameters revealed from the seven PCs were total dissolved solids (TDS), true color (TC), pH, iron (Fe), fecal coliform (FC), dissolved oxygen (DO), and turbidity (TUR). The normalized data of dominant parameters were used to develop a model for obtaining total exceedance. The exceedance values acquired from the total exceedance model were used to determine the patterns for the development of five clusters. The performance of the clusters was compared with the classes obtained in Canadian Water Quality Index (CWQI). Cluster 1, cluster 2, cluster 3, cluster 4 and cluster 5 showed agreements of 85.71%, 83.54%, 90.22%, 80.74%, and 83.40% with their respective CWQI classes on the basis of the data for all rivers during 2004-2008. The water quality was deteriorated in growing season due to snow melting. This methodology could be applied to classify the raw surface water quality, analyze the spatio-temporal trends and study the impacts of the factors affecting the water quality anywhere in the world.

Ibrutinib alleviated LPS-induced neuroinflam⁃mation and synaptic defects in mouse model of depression

OBJECTIVE Previous studies have demonstrated a close association between an altered immune system and major depressive disorders,and inhibition of neuroinflammation may represent an alternative mechanism to treat ***,the anti-inflammatory activ⁃ity of ibrutinib has been ***,the effect of ibrutinib on neuroinflammation-induced depression and its underlying mechanism has not been comprehensively ***,we aimed to elucidate the potential anti-depres⁃sive role and mechanism of ibrutinib against neu⁃roinflammation-induced depression and synaptic *** AND RESULTS Ibrutinib treatment significantly reduced lipopolysaccha⁃ride(LPS)-induced depressive-like behaviors and neuroinflammation via inhibiting NF-κB acti⁃vation,decreasing proinflammatory cytokine levels,and normalizing redox signaling and its downstream components,including Nrf2,HO-1,and SOD2,as well as glial cell activation mark⁃ers,such as Iba-1 and ***,ibrutinib treatment inhibited LPS-activated inflammasome activation by targeting NLRP3/P38/caspase-1 ***,LPS reduced the number of dendritic spines and expression of BDNF,and synaptic-related markers,including PSD95,snap25,and synaptophysin,were improved by ibrutinib treatment in the hippocampal area of the mouse *** Ibrutinib can allevi⁃ate neuroinflammation and synaptic defects,sug⁃gesting it has antidepressant potential against LPS-induced neuroinflammation and depression.

Streptococcus agalactiae is one of the most common pathogens that cause bovine mastitis worldwide. Identifying pathogen prevalence and virulence factors is critical for developing prevention and control approaches. Herein, 1 161 milk samples from various dairy farms in China(n=558) and Pakistan(n=603) were collected between 2019–2021 and were subjected to S. agalactiae isolation. Prevalence, serotyping, virulence genes, and antibiotic-resistant genes of S. agalactiae were evaluated by PCR assay. All isolates were characterized for haemolysis, biofilm production, cytotoxicity, adhesion, and invasion on bovine mammary epithelial cells. The prevalence of S. agalactiae-induced mastitis in cattle was found to be considerably higher in Pakistan than in China. Jiangsu and Sindh provinces had the highest area-wise prevalence in China and Pakistan, respectively. Serotypes Ia and II were prevalent in both countries, whereas serotype III was found only in Pakistan. Moreover, all isolates tested positive for PI-2b gene but negative for PI-1 and PI-2a genes. All isolates harboured cfb, cylE, hylB, and fbsB virulent genes, whereas many of them lacked bibA, rib and bca. However, the absence of bac and scp genes in Chinese isolates and cspA in Pakistani isolates was noted, while spb1 and lmb were not detected in isolates of both countries. Pakistani isolates, particularly serotype Iapositive, had a considerably higher ability to produce biofilm, haemolysis, cytotoxicity, adhesion, and invasion than Chinese isolates. Most of the isolates were phenotypically resistant to tetracycline, erythromycin, and clindamycin and genotypic resistance was confirmed by the presence of ermA, ermB, tetM and tetO genes. Our study highlights the antimicrobial resistance profile and virulence-related factors contributing to the epidemiological spread of mastitis-causing S. agalactiae in China and Pakistan. Generalized Inverted Kumaraswamy Distribution: Properties and Application

The techniques to find appropriate new models for data sets are very popular nowadays among the researchers of this area where existed models in the literature are not suitable. In this paper, a new distribution, generalized inverted Kumaraswamy (GIKum) distribution is introduced. The main aims of this research are to develop a general form of inverted Kumaraswamy (IKum) distribution which is flexible than the IKum distribution and all of its related and sub models. Some properties of GIKum distribution such as measures of central tendency and dispersion, models of stress-strength, limiting distributions, characterization of GIKum distribution and related probability distributions through some specific transformations are derived. The mathematical expressions of reliability function (r.f) and the hazard rate function (hrf) of the GIKum distribution are found and presented through their graphs. The parameters estimation through the maximum likelihood (ML) estimation method is used and the results are applied to the data set of prices of wooden toys of 31 children.

Nonparametric Spectral Estimation Technique to Estimate Dominant Frequency for Atrial Fibrillation Detection

Atrial fibrillation (Afib) is related with heart failure, stroke, and high mortality rates. In frequency domain analysis, pre-requisite for Afib detection has been the estimation of reliable dominant frequency (DF) of atrial signals via different spectral estimation techniques. DF further characterizes Afib, and helps in its treatment. This paper aims at finding the most appropriate nonparametric FFT-based spectral estimation technique to estimate reliable DF for Afib detection. In this work, real-time intra-atrial electrograms have been acquired and pre-processed for frequency analysis. DF is estimated via Bartlett using Hanning window, and Welch methods. Regularity index (RI), a parameter to ensure reliability of DF, is calculated using Simpson 3/8 and Trapezoidal rules. The best method is declared based upon high accuracy of Afib detection using reliable DF. On comparison, Welch method is found to be more appropriate to estimate reliable DF for Afib detection with 98% accuracy.

Objectives Blood stream infections(BSIs)are the main cause of morbidity and mortality in children *** present study was carried out to determine the prevalence of BSI with a focus on the identification of the causative agent of BSI,and to further evaluate the antibiotic susceptibility profile of the causing bacterial *** A cross-section study was carried out at the tertiary care hospital in Peshawar,Pakistan from January to December,*** samples were collected in BACTEC™botdes and standard microbiological protocols were applied for the isolation and identification of bacterial *** antibiotic susceptibility tests were performed using disc diffusion method as per the 2014 guideline of Clinical Laboratory Standard Institute(CLSI).Results Of 567 blood cultures in total,111(19.6%)were positive for *** children were 64%(71/111)and female children were 36%(40/111).For the causative predominant group of microorganisms,Gramnegative bacteria were identified in 79(71.1%)isolates,and Gram-positive bacteria in 32(28.9%)*** common bacteria of isolates were ***(n=35,31.5%),***(n=19,17.1%),***(n=18,16.2%),***(n=12,10.8%),and Enterococcus species(n=7,6.3%).The 36.7%(29/79)isolates of Gram-negative bacteria were ESBL producers,and 61.1%(11/18)of *** isolates were methicillin ***,72.9%isolates were multidrug *** Gram-negative bacteria were the main cause of pediatric BSIs,where the predominant microorganism was S.卯***,majority of the *** isolates were resistant to ciprofloxacin.
