Developing a biomaterial for wound healing applications is still a ***,dysprosium oxide(Dy_(2)O_(3)),aluminum oxide(Al_(2)O_(3)),and graphene oxide(GO)were embedded in cast films based on polycaprolactone(PCL)to be examined for wound dressing *** techniques were used to characterize the fabricated films including X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),Raman,and scanning electron microscopy(SEM),besides their biological *** thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)exhibits high thermal stability as the scaffold weight decreases slightly to 98.6%after raising the temperature from room temperature to 280℃.The cell viability was investigated and it is shown that the viable cells grow up to approximately 93%at 75μg/***,the cell attachment shows excellent behavior as the cells attach on most of the surface of the modified PCL which shows high biocompatibility.

Due to the overwhelming characteristics of the Internet of Things(IoT)and its adoption in approximately every aspect of our lives,the concept of individual devices’privacy has gained prominent attention from both customers,i.e.,people,and industries as wearable devices collect sensitive information about patients(both admitted and outdoor)in smart healthcare *** addition to privacy,outliers or noise are among the crucial issues,which are directly correlated with IoT infrastructures,as most member devices are resource-limited and could generate or transmit false data that is required to be refined before processing,i.e.,***,the development of privacy-preserving information fusion techniques is highly encouraged,especially those designed for smart IoT-enabled *** this paper,we are going to present an effective hybrid approach that can refine raw data values captured by the respectivemember device before transmission while preserving its privacy through the utilization of the differential privacy technique in IoT *** window,i.e.,δi based dynamic programming methodology,is implemented at the device level to ensure precise and accurate detection of outliers or noisy data,and refine it prior to activation of the respective transmission ***,an appropriate privacy budget has been selected,which is enough to ensure the privacy of every individualmodule,i.e.,a wearable device such as a smartwatch attached to the patient’s *** contrast,the end module,i.e.,the server in this case,can extract important information with approximately the maximum level of ***,refined data has been processed by adding an appropriate nose through the Laplace mechanism to make it useless or meaningless for the adversary modules in the *** proposed hybrid approach is trusted from both the device’s privacy and the integrity of the transmitted information *** and analytical results ha

Anomaly Detection Framework in Fog-to-Things Communication for Industrial Internet of Things

The rapid development of the Internet of Things(IoT)in the industrial domain has led to the new term the Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT).The IIoT includes several devices,applications,and services that connect the physical and virtual space in order to provide smart,cost-effective,and scalable *** the IIoT has been deployed and integrated into a wide range of industrial control systems,preserving security and privacy of such a technology remains a big *** anomaly-based Intrusion Detection System(IDS)can be an effective security solution for maintaining the confidentiality,integrity,and availability of data transmitted in IIoT *** this paper,we propose an intelligent anomalybased IDS framework in the context of fog-to-things communications to decentralize the cloud-based security solution into a distributed architecture(fog nodes)near the edge of the data *** anomaly detection system utilizes minimum redundancy maximum relevance and principal component analysis as the featured engineering methods to select the most important features,reduce the data dimensionality,and improve detection *** the classification stage,anomaly-based ensemble learning techniques such as bagging,LPBoost,RUSBoost,and Adaboost models are implemented to determine whether a given flow of traffic is normal or *** validate the effectiveness and robustness of our proposed model,we evaluate our anomaly detection approach on a new driven IIoT dataset called XIIoTID,which includes new IIoT protocols,various cyberattack scenarios,and different attack *** experimental results demonstrated that our proposed anomaly detection method achieved a higher accuracy rate of 99.91%and a reduced false alarm rate of 0.1%compared to other recently proposed techniques.

Text visualization is concerned with the representation of text in a graphicalform to facilitate comprehension of large textual data. Its aim is to improve the ability tounderstand and utilize the wealth of text-based information available. An essential task inany scientific research is the study and review of previous works in the specified domain,a process that is referred to as the literature survey process. This process involves theidentification of prior work and evaluating its relevance to the research question. With theenormous number of published studies available online in digital form, this becomes acumbersome task for the researcher. This paper presents the design and implementationof a tool that aims to facilitate this process by identifying relevant work and suggestingclusters of articles by conceptual modeling, thus providing different options that enablethe researcher to visualize a large number of articles in a graphical easy-to-analyze *** tool helps the researcher in analyzing and synthesizing the literature and building aconceptual understanding of the designated research area. The evaluation of the toolshows that researchers have found it useful and that it supported the process of relevantwork analysis given a specific research question, and 70% of the evaluators of the toolfound it very useful.

A glance on the effects of temperature on axisymmetric dynamic behavior of multiwall carbon nanotubes

In this paper the effects of temperature on the radial breathing modes （RBMs） and radial wave propaga- tion in multiwall carbon nanotubes （MWCNTs） are inves- tigated using a continuum model of multiple elastic isotropic shells. The van der Waals forces between tubes are simulated as a nonlinear function of interlayer spacing of MWCNTs. The governing equations are solved using a finite element method. A wide range of innermost radius-to-thickness ratio of MWCNTs is considered to enhance the investigation. The presented solution is verified by comparing the results with those reported in the literature. The effects of temperature on the van der Waals interaction coefficient between layers of MWCNTs are examined. It is found that the variation of the van der Waals interaction coefficient at high temperature is sensible. Subsequently, variations of RBM frequencies and radial wave propagation in MWCNTs with temperatures up to 1 600 K are illustrated. It is shown that the thick MWC- NTs are more sensible to temperature than the thin ones.

Enhancement of freshwater production of the seawater greenhouse condenser

Seawater greenhouse(SWGh)is a technology established to overcome issues related to open field cultivation in arid areas,such as the high ambient temperature and the shortage of *** adopts the humidification-dehumidification concept where evaporated moisture from a saline water source is condensed to produce freshwater within the greenhouse *** condenser designs are adopted to increase freshwater production in order to meet the irrigation *** aim of this study was to experimentally investigate the practicality of using the packed-type direct contact condenser in the SWGh to produce more freshwater at low costs,simple design and high efficiency,and to explore the impact of the manipulating six operational variables(inlet air temperature of the humidifier,air mass flowrate of the humidifier,inlet water temperature of the humidifier,water mass flowrate of the humidifier,inlet water temperature of the dehumidifier and water mass flowrate of the dehumidifier)on freshwater condensation *** this purpose,a direct contact condenser was designed and ***-four full factorial experiments were conducted to study the effect of the six operational *** variable was operated at two levels(high and low flowrate),and each experiment lasted for 10 min and followed by a 30-min waiting *** showed that freshwater production varied between 0.257 and 2.590 L for every 10 *** using Minitab statistical software to investigate the significant variables that contributed to the maximum freshwater production,it was found that the inlet air temperature of the humidifier had the greatest influence,followed by the inlet water temperature of the humidifier;the former had a negative impact while the latter had a positive impact on freshwater *** response optimizer tool revealed that the optimal combination of variables contributed to maximize freshwater production when all variables were in the high mode and the inlet air

Interspecific density-dependent model of predator-prey relationship in the chemostat

The objective of this study is to analyze a model of competition for one resource in the chemostat with general interspecific density-dependent growth rates,taking into account the predator–prey *** relationship is characterized by the fact that the prey species promotes the growth of the predator species which in turn inhibits the growth of the first *** model is a three-dimensional system of ordinary differential *** the same dilution rates,the model can be reduced to a planar system where the two models have the same local and even global *** existence and stability conditions of all steady states of the reduced model in the plane are determined according to the operating *** the nullcline method,we present a geometric characterization of the existence and stability of all equilibria showing the multiplicity of coexistence steady *** bifurcation diagrams illustrate that the steady states can appear or disappear only through saddle-node or transcritical ***,the operating diagrams describe the asymptotic behavior of this system by varying the control parameters and show the effect of the inhibition of predation on the emergence of the bistability region and the reduction until the disappearance of the coexistence region by increasing this inhibition parameter.

Nowadays,concerns arise because of the depletion of fossil fuel resources that forced scientists to develop new energy extraction *** of these renewable resources is tidal energy,where Iran has this potential *** are many ways to obtain the kinetic energy of the fluid flow caused by the moon’s gravitational effect on *** horizontal axis tidal turbines is one of the ways to achieve the kinetic energy of the *** this type of turbine has similar technology to horizontal axis wind turbines,they may be an appropriate choice for constructing a tidal power plant in *** paper presents the numerical simulation and momentum method of a three-bladed horizontal axis tidal *** validate the thrust and power coefficients for a fixed pitch angle at the blade tip speed ratio of 4 to 10 are compared with experimental *** this modelling,the rotating geometry simulation has been *** show that using a numerical method and blade element momentum,we can predict the horizontal axis tidal turbine’s thrust with an error of less than 10%.The numerical method has better accuracy in higher speed ratios,and it is appropriate to predict the behaviour of fluid in collision with turbines and its wake effects.

What contributes to individual innovativeness? A multilevel perspective

It is well-established that individual innovativeness is an indispensable quality for employees working in a variety of workplace ***,the interaction between the psychological and organizational factors influencing innovativeness remains *** study seeks to address that research gap by examining a model comprising a mix of psychological factors(implicit theory and goal orientation)and organizational *** were collected from 315 staff members working in 34 different departments/schools at Tampere University,*** study employed a Bayesian multilevel path analysis that matched the hierarchical structure of the data to test the *** results suggest that psychological factors reflecting goal orientation are the most important for interpreting individual ***,mastery goal orientation was shown to be a positive predictor and performance-approach goal orientation a negative predictor of ***,departmental culture had neither a direct effect on innovativeness nor a moderation effect on the relationships between the psychological variables and *** explanations for these results and implications for future research are discussed.
