In order to identify the tilt direction of the self-mixing interference (SMI) signals under weak feedback regime interfered by noise， a deep learning method is proposed. The one-dimensional U-Net (1D U-Net) neural network can discriminate the direction of self-mixing fringes accurately and quickly. For experimental SMI signals， the 1D U-Net can be used for discriminant direction after a one-step normalization. Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed method is suitable for SMI signals with noise within the whole weak feedback regime， and can maintain a high discrimination accuracy for signals interfered by 5dB noise. Combined with fringe counting method， accurate and rapid SMI signal displacement reconstruction can be realized.

Oxygen defects are usually unavoidable when synthesizing oxide thin *** study the origin of the oxygen defects in hexagonal manganite HoMnO_(3) epitaxial thin films through Raman scattering *** results show that the oxygen defects in hexagonal HoMnO_(3) thin films have distinct effects on different phonon modes and on magnon *** analyses indicate that the oxygen defects in hexagonal HoMnO_(3) thin films mainly originate from the basal O3 and/or O4 oxygen ***,our analyses of oxygen defects predict that the Mn 3d orbitals would be more strongly hybridized with the apical O1 and/or O22p orbitals than the basal O3 and/or O42p *** prediction is consistent with our resonant Raman scattering study and earlier first-principle calculations of the electronic structures of hexagonal manganites.

It has been shown clinically that continuous removal of ischemia/reperfusion-induced reactive oxygen species is not conducive to the recovery of late ***,previous studies have shown that excessive increases in hypochlorous acid after stroke can cause severe damage to brain *** previous studies have found that a small amount of hypochlorous acid still exists in the later stage of stroke,but its specific role and mechanism are currently *** simulate stroke in vivo,a middle cerebral artery occlusion rat model was established,with an oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation model established in vitro to mimic *** found that in the early stage(within 24 hours)of ischemic stroke,neutrophils produced a large amount of hypochlorous acid,while in the recovery phase(10 days after stroke),microglia were activated and produced a small amount of hypochlorous ***,in acute stroke in rats,hypochlorous acid production was prevented using a hypochlorous acid scavenger,taurine,or myeloperoxidase inhibitor,4-aminobenzoic acid *** results showed that high levels of hypochlorous acid(200μM)induced neuronal apoptosis after oxygen/glucose deprivation/***,in the recovery phase of the middle cerebral artery occlusion model,a moderate level of hypochlorous acid promoted the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells into neurons and *** suggests that hypochlorous acid plays different roles at different phases of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion *** levels of hypochlorous acid(5 and 100μM)promoted nuclear translocation ofβ-*** transfection of single-site mutation plasmids,we found that hypochlorous acid induced chlorination of theβ-catenin tyrosine 30 residue,which promoted nuclear ***,our study indicates that maintaining low levels of hypochlorous acid plays a key role in the recovery of neurological function.

The aim of this study is to propose a new detection method for determining the damage locations in pile foundations based on deep learning using acoustic emission ***,the damage location is simulated using a back propagation neural network deep learning model with an acoustic emission data set acquired from pile hit *** particular,the damage location is identified using two parameters:the pile location(PL)and the distance from the pile cap(DS).This study investigates the influences of various acoustic emission parameters,numbers of sensors,sensor installation locations,and the time difference on the prediction accuracy of PL and *** addition,correlations between the damage location and acoustic emission parameters are ***,the damage step condition is determined using a classification model with an acoustic emission data set acquired from uniaxial compressive strength ***,a new damage detection and evaluation method for pile foundations is *** new method is capable of continuously detecting and evaluating the damage of pile foundations in service.

Homogeneous co-precipitation and hydrothermal treatment were used to prepare nano- and highly dispersed Ni O/YSZ(yttria-stabilized zirconia) composite powders. Composite powders of size less than 100 nm were successfully prepared. This process did not require separate sintering of the YSZ and Ni O to be used as the raw materials for solid oxide fuel cells. The performance of a cell fabricated using the new powders(*** density ~0.87 W/cm^2) was higher than that of a cell fabricated using conventional powders(max. power density ~0.73 W/cm^2). Co-precipitation and hydrothermal treatment proved to be very effective processes for reducing cell production costs as well as improving cell performance.

The Effect of Fabrication Conditions for GDC Buffer Layer on Electrochemical Performance of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

A Gd-doped ceria（GDC） buffer layer is required between a conventional yttria-stabilized zirconia（YSZ） electrolyte and a La-Sr-Co-Fe-O3（LSCF） cathode to prevent their chemical reaction. In this study,the effect of varying the conditions for fabricating the GDC buffer layer, such as sintering temperature and amount of sintering aid, on the solid oxide fuel cell（SOFC） performance was investigated. A finer GDC powder（i.e., ultra-high surface area）, a higher sintering temperature（1290℃）, and a larger amount of sintering aid（12%） resulted in improved densification of the buffer layer; however, the electrochemical performance of an anode-supported cell containing this GDC buffer layer was poor. These conflicting results are attributed to the formation of（Zr, Ce）O2 and/or excess cobalt grain boundaries（GBs） at higher sintering temperatures with a large amount of sintering aid（i.e., cobalt oxide）. A cell comprising of a cobalt-free GDC buffer layer, which was fabricated using a low-temperature process, had lower cell resistance and higher stability. The results indicate that electrochemical performance and stability of SOFCs strongly depend on fabrication conditions for the GDC buffer layer.

Characteristics of Atmospheric Circulation Associated with Cold Surge Occurrences in East Asia:A Case Study During 2005/06 Winter

The characteristics of the upper-level circulation and thermodynamical properties for the period when two distinct cold surges broke out over East Asia during the 2005/06 winter are investigated. From early December 2005 to early January 2006, exceptionally cold weather lasted for approximately one month due to two successive cold surges that took place on 2 December 2005 and 2 January 2006, respectively. This study reveals that both involve the upper-tropospheric circulation, which induces the amplification and expansion of the surface Siberian high toward East Asia, but arose from different causes： the former is caused by the upper-level blocking originated from the North Pacific and the latter is caused by the upper-level wave train across the Eurasian Continent. In particular, it is suggested that the lower-tropospheric anomalous wind caused by upper-level circulation anomalies and a steep meridional temperature gradient amplified by phase-locked annual cycle combined to induce very strong cold advection in East Asia, which resulted in exceptionally cold weather that lasted for several weeks. The present results emphasize that the characteristics of the upper-tropospheric circulation can be considered as important precursors to cold surge occurrences in East Asia.

Appropriate empirical antibiotic use and 30-d mortality in cirrhotic patients with bacteremia

AIM: To analyze whether prompt and appropriate empirical antibiotic(AEA) use is associated with mortality in cirrhotic patients with bacteremia. METHODS: A total of 102 episodes of bacteremia in 72 patients with cirrhosis were analyzed. AEA was defined as a using or starting an antibiotic appropriate to the isolated pathogen at the time of bacteremia. The primary endpoint was 30-d mortality. RESULTS: The mortality rate at 30 d was 30.4%(31/102 episodes). Use of AEA was associated with better survival at 30 d(76.5% vs 46.9%, P = 0.05), and inappropriate empirical antibiotic(IEA) use was an independent factor associated with increased mortality(OR = 3.24; 95%CI: 1.50-7.00; P = 0.003, adjusted for age, sex, ChildPugh Class, gastrointestinal bleeding, presence of septic shock). IEA use was more frequent when the isolated pathogen was a multiresistant pathogen, and when infection was healthcare-related or hospital-acquired. CONCLUSION: AEA use was associated with increased survival of cirrhotic patients who developed bacteremia. Strategies for AEA use, tailored according to the local epidemiological patterns, are needed to improve survival of cirrhotic patients with bacteremia.
