Photoacoustic spectroscopy(PAS)as a highly sensitive and selective trace gas detection technique has extremely broad application in many ***,the laser sources currently used in PAS limit the sensing *** to diode laser and quantum cascade laser,the solid-state laser has the merits of high optical power,excellent beam quality,and wide tuning *** we present a long-wave,high-power,wide-tunable,singlelongitudinal-mode solid-state laser used as light source in a PAS sensor for trace gas *** self-built solid-state laser had an emission wavelength of~2μm with Tm:YAP crystal as the gain material,with an excellent wavelength and optical power stability as well as a high beam *** wide wavelength tuning range of 9.44 nm covers the absorption spectra of water and ammonia,with a maximum optical power of~130 mW,allowing dual gas detection with a single laser *** solid-state laser was used as light source in three different photoacoustic detection techniques:standard PAS with microphone,and external-and intra-cavity quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy(QEPAS),proving that solid-state laser is an attractive excitation source in photoacoustic spectroscopy.

Advancements are reported in computer-generated holography proofing RGB 4K display through a new strategy based on diffraction model-driven deep networks. In the new 4K-DMDNet, the network is not a “black box” anymore. Rather, the input-output relation must obey to the physics of wavefront propagation, which is embedded here as a constraint. Thus, a labelled dataset is not required, and the model shows superior generalization capabilities with respect to data-driven approaches. The method is promising for the new generation of RGB 4K holographic display, as well as augmented and virtual reality systems.

The extension of dual-comb spectroscopy(DCS)to all wavelengths of light along with its ability to provide ultralarge dynamic range and ultra-high spectral resolution,renders it extremely useful for a diverse array of applications in physics,chemistry,atmospheric science,space science,as well as medical *** this work,we report on an innovative technique of quartz-enhanced multiheterodyne resonant photoacoustic spectroscopy(QEMR-PAS),in which the beat frequency response from a dual comb is frequency down-converted into the audio frequency *** this way,gas molecules act as an optical-acoustic converter through the photoacoustic effect,generating heterodyne sound *** conventional DCS,where the light wave is detected by a wavelengthdependent photoreceiver,QEMR-PAS employs a quartz tuning fork(QTF)as a high-Q sound transducer and works in conjunction with a phase-sensitive detector to extract the resonant sound component from the multiple heterodyne acoustic tones,resulting in a straightforward and low-cost hardware *** novel QEMRPAS technique enables wavelength-independent DCS detection for gas sensing,providing an unprecedented dynamic range of 63 dB,a remarkable spectral resolution of 43 MHz(or~0.3 pm),and a prominent noise equivalent absorption of 5.99×10^(-6)cm^(-1)·Hz-1/2.

In this paper,the determination of Thiram fungicide by a novel modified screen-printed carbon electrode(SPCE)fabricated modifying the working electrode(WE)with 2D-Go/WS2nanohybrid composites,is *** electron microscopy(SEM),Raman spectroscopy,and fluorescence analysis(PL)were used to reveal the morphological and microstructural characteristics of the 2D-Go/WS2 nanohybrids with different graphene oxide:tungsten disulphide(Go:WS_(2))*** characterization demonstrated that the 2D-WS2/Go nanohybrids having a Go:WS_(2)ratio=2:1 shows the highest electrocatalytic activity towards oxidation of *** developed sensor permits the quantification of Thiram in the linear range 0.083-0.33μM with a limit of detection(LoD)of 0.02μM,which is below the legal limits for this fungicide in drinking water or foods.

Lithium recovery from end-of-life Li-ion batteries(LIBs)through pyro-and hydrometallurgical recycling processes involves several refining stages,with high consumption of reagents and energy.A competitive technological alternative is the electrochemical oxidation of the cathode materials,whereby lithium can be deintercalated and transferred to an electrolyte solution without the aid of chemical extracting *** article investigates the potential to selectively recover Li from LIB cathode materials by direct electrochemical extraction in aqueous *** process allowed to recovering up to 98%of Li from high-purity commercial cathode materials(LiMn_(2)o_(4),LiCoo_(2),and Li Ni_(1/3)Mn_(1/3)Co_(1/3)o_(2))with a faradaic efficiency of 98%and negligible co-extraction of Co,Ni,and *** process was then applied to recover Li from the real waste LIBs black mass obtained by the physical treatment of electric vehicle battery *** black mass contained graphite,conductive carbon,and metal impurities from current collectors and steel cases,which significantly influenced the evolution and performances of Li electrochemical ***,due to concomitant oxidation of impurities,lithium extraction yields and faradaic efficiencies were lower than those obtained with high-purity cathode *** oxidation was found to occur within the voltage range investigated,but it could not quantitatively explain the reduced Li extraction *** fact,a detailed investigation revealed that above 1.3 V ***/Ag Cl,conductive carbon can be oxidized,contributing to the decreased Li *** on the reported experimental results,guidelines were provided that quantitatively enable the extraction of Li from the black mass,while preventing the simultaneous oxidation of impurities and,consequently,reducing the energy consumption of the proposed Li recovery method.

objective: To analyze data available in the literature regarding a possible prognostic value of the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in prostate cancer (PCa) patients stratified in non-metastatic and metastatic ***: A literature search process was performed following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines. In our meta-analysis, the pooled event rate estimated and the pooled hazard ratio were calculated using a random effect ***: Forty-two articles were selected for our analysis. The pooled risk difference for non-organ confined PCa between high and low NLR cases was 0.06 (95% confidence interval [CI]: −0.03-0.15) and between high and low PLR cases increased to 0.30 (95% CI: 0.16-0.43). In non-metastatic PCa cases, the pooled hazard ratio for overall mortality between high and low NLR was 1.33 (95% CI: 0.78-1.88) and between high and low PLR was 1.47 (95% CI: 0.91-2.03), whereas in metastatic PCa cases, between high and low NLR was 1.79 (95% CI: 1.44-2.13) and between high and low PLR was 1.05 (95% CI: 0.87-1.24).Conclusion: The prognostic values of NLR and PLR in terms of PCa characteristics and responses after treatment show a high level of heterogeneity of results among studies. These two ratios can represent the inflammatory and immunity status of the patient related to several conditions. A higher predictive value is related to a high NLR in terms of risk for overall mortality in metastatic PCa cases under systemic treatments.

one of the most important solutions to overcome energy and environmental problems and to replace the fossil fuel-based economy could be the use of photosynthetic *** use of photosynthetic microorganisms is a potential alternative to energy generation from fossil fuels because they efficiently produce hydrogen(H_(2)).Immobilization of photosynthetic microorganisms is used for many biotechnological applications such as H_(2) *** method appears attractive because it restricts cell movement in an entrapped *** of Rhodopseudomonas sp.S16-VoGS3 cells is a promising way to improve H_(2) *** this work,the ability of immobilized Rhodopseudomonas sp.S16-VoGS3 cells to produce H_(2) was investigated in two types of *** PBRs used in this work were a cylindrical one with 0.2 L working volume(C-PBR)and a flat Roux type with 0.6 L working volume(FRT-PBR).The calcium alginate beads prepared were resistant to culture mixing and showed little leakage of cells,and the immobilized cells continued the photofermentation process in both *** immobilized cells in the C-PBR produced 936.8 mL of H_(2) with an average H_(2) production rate of 2.99 mL/*** average productivity was 126.4μL(H_(2))/mg(cells)/h or 14.96 mL(H_(2))/L(culture)/h,and the light conversion efficiency was 2.37%.The immobilized cells in the FRT-PBR produced a total of 662.2 mL of H_(2) with an average H_(2) production rate of 1.55 mL/*** average productivity was 31.1μL(H_(2))/mg(cells)/h or 2.58 mL(H_(2))/L(culture)/h,and the light conversion efficiency was 0.52%.The more uniform and therefore more efficient degree of bacterial cell mixing achieved in the C-PBR with cylindrical configuration played an important role compared to the *** the FRT-PBR,the beads were aggregated at the bottom,which limited light penetration and resulted in low H_(2) production efficiency.
