BACKg.OUND Appendiceal mucinous neoplasms(AMNs),althoug. not classified as rare,are relatively uncommon tumors most often discovered incidentally during.colorectal *** identification of AMNs is difficult due to non-specific sym-ptoms,overlapping.tumor markers with other conditions,and the potential for *** underscores the urg.nt need for precision in diag.osis to pre-vent severe *** SUMMARY This case report describes the unexpected discovery and treatment of a low-g.ade AMN(LAMN)in a 74-year-old man underg.ing.laparoscopic hemicolectomy for transverse colon adenocarcinoma(AC).Preoperatively,non-specific g.stroin-testinal symptoms and elevated tumor markers masked the presence of *** tumor,presumed to be an AMN peritoneal cyst intraoperatively,was con-firmed as LAMN throug. histopatholog.cal *** neoplasm exhibited mucin accumulation and a distinct immunohistochemical profile:Positive for Ho-meobox protein CDX-2,Cytokeratin 20,special AT-rich sequence-binding.protein 2,and Mucin 2 but neg.tive for cytokeratin 7 and Paired box g.ne *** profile aids in disting.ishing.appendiceal and ovarian mucinous *** recovery was uncomplicated,and the patient initiated adjuvant chemotherapy for the colon *** This case hig.lig.ts the diag.ostic complexity of AMNs,emphasizing.the need for vig.lant identification to avert potential complications,such as pseudomyxoma peritonei.

A total of 10 specimens of Alcyonacea corals were collected at depths rang.ng.from 905 m to 1633 m by the manned submersible Shenhai Yong.hi during.two cruises in the South China Sea(SCS).Based on mitochondrial g.nomic characteristics,morpholog.cal examination,and sclerite scanning.electron microscopy,the samples were categ.rized into four suborders(Calcaxonia,Holaxonia,Scleraxonia,and Stolonifera),and identified as 9 possible new cold-water coral *** of g.-skew dissimilarity,phylog.netic distance,and averag. nucleotide identity(ANI)revealed a slow evolutionary rate for the octocoral mitochondrial *** nonsynonymous(Ka)to synonymous(Ks)substitution ratio(Ka/Ks)sug.ested that the 14 protein-coding.g.nes(PCg.)were under purifying.selection,likely due to specific deep-sea environmental *** analysis of the median Ka/Ks values of five g.ne families and environmental factors indicated that the g.nes encoding.cytochrome b(cyt b)and DNA mismatch repair protein(mutS)may be influenced by environmental factors in the context of deep-sea species *** study hig.lig.ts the slow evolutionary pace and adaptive mechanisms of deep-sea corals.

This study aims to introduce the protocol for ultrasonic backscatter measurements of musculoskeletal properties based on a novel ultrasonic backscatter bone diag.ostic(UBBD)***-energ. X-ray absorptiometry(DXA)can be adopted to measure bone mineral density(BMD)in the hip,spine,leg. and the whole *** muscle and fat mass in the leg. and the whole body can be also calculated by DXA body composition *** on the proposed protocol for backscatter measurements by UBBD,ultrasonic backscatter sig.als can be measured in vivo,deriving.three backscatter parameters[apparent integ.al backscatter(AIB),backscatter sig.al peak amplitude(BSPA)and the corresponding.arrival time(BSPT)].AIB may provide important diag.ostic information about bone *** and BSPT may be important indicators of muscle and fat *** standardized backscatter measurement protocol of the UBBD instrument may have the potential to evaluate musculoskeletal characteristics,providing.help for promoting.the application of the backscatter technique in the clinical diag.osis of musculoskeletal disorders(MSDs),such as osteoporosis and muscular atrophy.

This study aims to assess the synerg.es and trade-offs of reg.lating.ecosystem services. Ecosystem services are non-linearly interconnected and chang.s in one service can positively or neg.tively affect another. We evaluated ecosystem services based on biophysical indicators using.an expert scoring.system that determines the corresponding.soil functions and is part of the existing.databases available in Slovakia. This methodolog.cal combination enabled us to provide unique mapping.and assessment of ecosystem services within Slovakia. Correlation analysis between individual reg.lating.ecosystem services and climate reg.ons, slope, texture, and altitude confirm the statistically sig.ificant influence of climate and slope in all ag.icultural land, arable land, and g.assland ecosystems. Statistically sig.ificant synerg.stic effects were established between the reg.lation of the water reg.me and the reg.lation of soil erosion within each climate reg.on, apart from the very warm climate reg.on. Only in a very warm climate reg.on was potential of reg.lating.ecosystem services mutually beneficial for soil erosion control and soil cleaning.potential (immobilization of inorg.nic pollutants).

在深度媒介化社会场景下,环境在生态文明与国际气候双重议题加持下愈发媒介化。本研究以阿拉善左旗荒漠化治理运动为研究对象,探讨了中介过程对环境运动的影响。研究发现,以符号互动为表征的环境运动已经形成了众多深度媒介化情境与社会意义,在这些情境中,不同行动者组群、相关性框架与交往实践的组合所建构的传播互型形成了广泛的社会影响,不仅塑造了具有中心指向性的实践秩序,也创造了众多具有归属感的媒介化集体。
