The least squares method is one of the most fundamental methods in Statistics to estimate correlations among various data. On the other hand, Deep Learning is the heart of Artificial Intelligence and it is a learning method based on the least squares. In this paper we reconsider the least squares method from the view point of Deep Learning and we carry out the computation thoroughly for the gradient descent sequence in a very simple setting. Depending on the values of the learning rate, an essential parameter of Deep Learning, the least squares methods of Statistics and Deep Learning reveal an interesting difference.

A practical method for evaluating the three-dimensional（3D） position and velocity of a moving object used in the parabolic flight experiment is developed by using the binocular stereo vision measurement theory. The camera calibration mathematic model without considering the lens distortion is *** direct linear transformation（DLT） algorithm is improved to accomplish the camera *** camera calibration result and optimization algorithm are used to calculate the object＇s world coordinate from image *** 3D position and the velocity of the moving object are *** standard uncertainty in estimating the velocity is 0.0024 m/s,which corresponds to 1%level of the velocity of the object in the *** results show that this method is very useful for the parabolic flight experiments.

In clinical practice, dentists sometimes encounter phenomena that cannot be explained by modern western medical concepts;for example, the patient’s medical symptoms improve by bringing medicines or dentures close to the body. Although it seems difficult to completely elucidate the mechanism through modern western medicine, it can be explained using quantum mechanics. The quantum, the smallest unit of matter composition, exhibits wave-particle duality. The fact that symptoms can be improved simply by bringing dentures or medicines closer to the body indicates that the waves emitted by dentures or medicines interfere with the pathological waves emitted by the pathological site. Thus, the pathological waves are deformed and lead to a change in symptoms. In this way, quantum theory can explain phenomena that are difficult to elucidate in conventional medicine, which are encountered in clinical practice. So far, the author has presented a case of difficulty in raising the upper limb where the symptoms improved without the need for dentures in the mouth by adjusting the dentures outside the mouth. This time, the author would like to introduce a case which the patient’s knee pain improved by adjusting the dentures outside the mouth.

In this note, I introduce a mysterious approximation called the rotating wave approximation (RWA) to undergraduates or non-experts who are interested in both Mathematics and Quantum Optics. In Quantum Optics, it plays a very important role in order to obtain an analytic approximate solution of some SchrÖdinger equation, while it is curious from the mathematical point of view. I explain it carefully with two coherent oscillations for them and expect that they will overcome the problem in the near future.

Cell phone and personal computer use has increased considerably in recent years, particularly in developed countries. These devices have facilitated communication on a global scale. However, there have been a number of reports of health problems related to the electromagnetic waves emitted by such electronic devices. A long list of both general and severe symptoms, including headaches, fatigue, tinnitus, dizziness, memory loss, irregular heartbeat and whole-body skin le-sions, have been reported. These are reportedly associated with the condition known as electro-magnetic hypersensitivity (EHS). This report shows how a subject’s abnormal involuntary body movements, caused by electromagnetic waves emitted by a cell phone, are prevented by placing a gold alloy inlay in the subject’s mouth. It appears that the subject’s involuntary movements are the result of balance dysregulation resulting from EHS. The subject’s various symptoms improve after the specific dental treatment. However, the underlying mechanism of the symptoms and the rea-sons why this treatment is so successful remain unknown. Further research is required to clarify these issues.

The sericulture industry plays a very important role in our national economy. Silkworm (Bombyx mori) is always regarded as a model animal and biological reactor. There have been detailed studies on the structure, expression and control and molecular evolution of silk genes. However, few, if any, reports are available on the localization of structural genes in silkworm by molecular cytogenetics. The present experiment has tentatively localized the Fib-H gene at the distal end of the 25th linkage group, namely at the 25-0.0 position, and verified that Fib-H has only one locus, thus providing a temporary solution to the problem about its localization.

Extract of Emblica officinalis enhances the growth of human keratinocytes in culture

Objective: Keratinocytes are the predominant cell type in the epidermis and play key roles in epidermal function. Thus, identification of the compounds that regulate the growth of keratinocytes is of importance. Here we searched for such compounds from the herbs used in traditional medicine ***: Human keratinocytes were cultured in the presence or absence of the herbal extracts for 2 weeks; the effect of the extracts on cell growth was determined by staining the cells with Coomassie brilliant blue. To detect the compounds that regulate the growth of keratinocytes, the herbal extracts were subjected to high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).Results: We found that the extract of Emblica officinalis enhanced the growth of keratinocytes in ***, we fractionated the extract of E. officinalis using HPLC and identified the fractions responsible for the enhanced growth of ***: The extract of E. officinalis enhanced the growth of human keratinocytes in culture.E. officinalis contains the compounds that would be beneficial for human skin health because enhanced growth of keratinocytes would promote wound healing.

BACKGROUND A 70-year-old man with hepatitis C virus-related recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma was admitted for further diagnosis of a 1 cm iso-hyperechoic nodule in segment(S)*** SUMMARY Gadolinium ethoxybenzyl diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging(EOB-MRI)revealed the nodule in S5 with a defect at the hepatobiliary phase,hyperintensity on diffusion weighted imaging(DWI)and hypointensity on apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)***-enhanced computed tomography revealed hypervascularity at the early phase,and delayed contrast-enhancement was observed at the late ***-enhanced ultrasound(US)revealed incomplete defect at the late vascular *** liver tumor,lymphoproliferative disease,intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(small duct type)and bile duct adenoma were suspected through the imaging *** guided biopsy,however,showed a noncaseating hepatic sarcoid-like epithelioid granuloma(HSEG),and histopathological analysis disclosed spindle shaped epithelioid cells harboring Langhans-type multinucleated giant *** month after admission,EOB-MRI signaled the disappearance of the defect at the hepatobiliary phase,of hyperintensity on DWI,of hypointensity on ADC map,and no stain at the early *** That the patient had received BNT162b2 messenger RNA(mRNA)coronavirus disease 2019 vaccination 3 mo before the occurrence of HSEG,and that its disappearance was confirmed 4 mo after mRNA vaccination suggested that the drug-induced sarcoidosis-like reaction(DISR)might be induced by the mRNA ***,rechallenge of drug-induced DISR with the third mRNA vaccination was not confirmed.

Photoelectrochemical and electrochemical reduction of CO_2 into organic chemicals is promising for directly or indirectly transforming solar energy into chemical energy for further utilization. However,research on the electroactive species in these processes has been rather limited. In this work, we investigated possible electroactive species(CO_2 or HCO_3~– ) involved in the electrochemical reduction of KHCO_3 at elevated temperatures without CO_2 bubbling. The results showed that CO, CH_4, and C_2H_4 were produced after electrochemical reduction of 3.0 mol/L KHCO_3 at elevated temperature on a Cu electrode even without CO_2 bubbling, although their faradaic efficiencies were low(tant, and activation energy of the decomposition of HCO_3~– into CO_2 were also investigated and calculated from the experimental data.
