The use of electrochemical-meta.lization-based volatile threshold switching selectors in cross-point arrays has been widely explored owing to their high on-off ratios and simple ***,these devices are unsuita.le for cross-point architectures because of the difficulty in controlling the random filament formation that results in large fluctuations in the threshold volta.e during *** this study,we investigated the unidirectional threshold transition characteristics associated with an Ag/GST/HfO_(x)/Pt-based bilayer selector and demonstrated the occurrence of a low leakage current(ta.e(Δ0.11 V).The bilayer structure could control the filament formation in the intermediate sta.e through the insertion of an HfO_(x) tunneling *** sta.king a bilayer selector with NiO_(x)based resistive random-access memory,the leakage and programming currents of the device could be significantly *** the crossbar array configuration,we performed equivalent circuit analysis of a one-selector oneresistor(1S1R) devices and estimated the optimal array size to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed *** maximum accepta.le crossbar array size of the 1S1R device with the Ag/GST/HfO_(x)/Pt/Ti/NiO_(x)/Pt structure was 5.29×10^(14)(N^(2),N=2.3×10^(7)).

W-based Wta.Cr refractory high entropy alloys (RHEA) may be novel and promising candidate materials for plasma facing components in the first wall and diverter in fusion reactors. This alloy has been developed by a powder meta.lurgy process combining mechanical alloying and spark plasma sintering (SPS). The SPSed samples conta.ned two phases, in which the matrix is RHEA with a body-centered cubic structure, while the oxide phase was most likely ta.VO6through a combined analysis of X-ray diffraction (XRD),energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and selected area electron diffraction (SAED). The higher oxygen affinity of ta.and V may explain the preferential formation of their oxide phases based on thermodynamic calculations. Electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) revealed an average grain size of 6.2μm. Wta.Cr RHEA showed a peak compressive strength of 2997 MPa at room temperature and much higher micro-and nano-hardness than W and other W-based RHEAs in the literature. Their high Rockwell hardness can be reta.ned to at least 1000°C.

The effects of alloying elements(Co,Cr,Mo,W,Al,Ti,and ta.on the oxidation resista.ce of Ni-(0-15)Co-(8-15)Cr-(0-5)Mo-(0-10)W-(3-8)Al-(0-5)Ti-(0-10)ta.0.1 C-0.01 B alloys were *** sample compositions were designed by the Box-Behnken method of design of experiments(DOE).The alloying elements show complicated effects on the mass gain due to oxidation,depending on the alloy *** reduces the mass gain *** other elements except Al do not appear to exert a strong effect on the oxidation rate on average,but their influences are shown clearly in the alloys with a low Al ***,W,and ta.reduce the oxidation rate,while Cr,Mo,and Ti promote *** is the most effective element in reducing the oxidation rate of the alloy with a low Al *** is confirmed that a continuous Al2O3 layer is essentially required for high oxidation *** oxide scale of easily oxidized alloys has various oxides such as NiCr2O4,NiAl2O4,NiO,Cr2O3,Crta.4,and TiO2.

Nanoscale ruthenium(Ru)-based materials are promising replacements for existing multilayered Cu interconnects in integrated ***,it is not easy to apply the results of previously reported studies directly to the electrochemical damascene process because the previous studies have mainly focused on thin flms by dry ***,we report the electrical resistivity and microstructure of electrodeposited Ru *** estimate that the resistivity value of a 10 nm diameter Ru nanowire to be71.6μΩcm after analyzing the resistivity values of individual nanowires with various ***,we investigate the electrical properties of Ru_(x)Co_(1-x)nanowires where x is 0.04–0.99 at.%as possible replacements of the current ta.N barrier *** the entire composition range,the resistivity values of alloys are much lower than that of the conventional ta.***,Ru and Ru-alloy nanowires surrounded by dielectric silica are thermally sta.le after 450°C heat ***,the nanoscale Ru and Ru-Co alloys possessing low resistivity values can be candidates for the interconnect and barrier materials,respectively.

The time domain entombment of bacteria by intratubular mineralization following orthograde canal obturation with mineral trioxide aggregate（Mta. was studied by scanning electron microscopy（SEM）. Single-rooted human premolars（n560） were instrumented to an apical size #50/0.06 using ProF ile and treated as follows： Group 1（n510） was filled with phosphate buffered saline（PBS）; Group 2（n510） was incubated with Enterococcus faecalis for 3 weeks, and then filled with PBS; Group 3（n520） was obturated orthograde with a paste of OrthoM ta.BioM ta. Seoul, Korea） and PBS; and Group 4（n520） was incubated with E. faecalis for 3 weeks and then obturated with OrthoM ta.PBS paste. Following their treatments, the coronal openings were sealed with PBS-soaked cotton and intermediate restorative material（IRM）, and the roots were then stored in PBS for 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 weeks. After each incubation period, the roots were split and their dentin/Mta.interfaces examined in both longitudinal and horizonta. directions by SEM. There appeared to be an increase in intratubular mineralization over time in the OrthoM ta.filled roots（Groups 3 and 4）. Furthermore, there was a gradual entombment of bacteria within the dentinal tubules in the E. faecalis inoculated Mta.filled roots（Group 4）. Therefore, the orthograde obturation of root canals with OrthoM ta.mixed with PBS may create a favorable environment for bacterial entombment by intratubular mineralization.
