Zirconium is one of high field strength elements but its isotope behavior during geochemical processes is still uncerta.n because of the limited *** Zr isotopes in magmatic rocks are often used to trace the evolution of magmas through fractional crysta.lization,it is intriguing how highly heterogeneous Zr isotopes were produced by the growth of zircon during crusta. *** address this issue by in-situ zircon Zr isotope analyses of migmatites from two high-temperature meta.orphic terranes in the South Lhasa zone and the North Dabie zone,respectively,in *** results show highly variable δ^(94)Zr values from-0.30‰ to +0.81‰ and from-0.58‰ to +0.49‰,*** addition to the relict zircon of magmatic origin,two types of newly-grown zircons were identified in terms of their occurrences,trace elements and δ^(94)Zr *** peritectic zircon,mainly occurring in the in-situ leucosomes,exhibits the highest Nb-ta.Hf-U contents and variably higher δ^(94)Zr values than those of the relict *** anatectic zircon,mainly occurring in the leucocratic veins,shows higher Nb-ta.Hf-U contents than and similar δ^(94)Zr values to those of the relict *** calculations demonstrate that the variable Zr isotope compositions of newly-grown zircons would result from decoupled release of Zr from zircon and non-zircon *** Zr supply of the peritectic zircon is mainly derived from the decomposition of Zr-bearing minerals in the in-situ anatectic melt(the non-zircon effect),whereas the Zr supply of the anatectic zircon is mainly from the dissolution of pre-existing zircons in the evolved melt(the zircon effect).The significant Zr isotope variations in the migmatites well illustrate the generation,migration and accumulation of the anatectic melts during the partial ***,Zr isotopes can be used as a powerful means for distinguishing between the peritectic and anatectic zircons during crusta. anatexis.

Tribological properties of Al-GNP composites at elevated temperature

Lighter and more powerful next generation vehicles and other rota.y machinery demand bearings to operate in harsher conditions for higher efficiency,and the continuous development of advanced low-wear and friction materials is thus becoming even more importa.t to meet these *** aluminium composites reinforced with high performance lubricate phases such as graphene nanoplatelets(GNPs)are very promising and have been vigorously *** mainta.ning a low coefficient of friction(COF)and offering great strength against wear due to their self-lubricating capability,the solid lubricant like GNPs protect the bearing surface from wear damage and prevent change in meta.lurgical properties during temperature *** paper first studies the high-temperature tribological performance of aluminium matrix composites reinforced with GNP,consolidated via powder meta.lurgy,then elucidates their tribological *** report that the best tribological performance is achieved by the composite conta.ning 2.0 wt%GNP,with an extraordinarily low COF of 0.09 and a specific wear rate of 3.5×10^(−2)mm^(3)·N^(−1)·m^(−1),which represent 75%and 40%reduction respectively,against the plain aluminium consolidated under identical *** in-track and out-of-track Raman analysis have confirmed the role of GNPs in creating a tribofilm on the counterpart surface which contributed to the excellent performance.

Alkyl chain modulation of asymmetric hexacyclic fused acceptor synergistically with wide bandgap third component for high efficiency ternary organic solar cells

Herein,two asymmetric hexacyclic fused small molecule acceptors(SMAs),namely BP4F-HU and BP4F-UU,were *** elongated outside chains in the BP4F-UU molecule played a crucial role in optimizing the morphology of blend film,thereby improving charge mobility and reducing energy loss within the corresponding ***,the PM6:BP4F-UU device exhibited a higher open-circuit volta.e(V_(oc))of 0.878 V compared to the PM6:BP4F-HU device with a V_(oc)of 0.863 ***,a new wide bandgap SMA named BTP-ta.was designed and synthesized as the third component to the PM6:BP4F-UU host binary devices,which showed an ideal complementa.y absorption spectrum in PM6:BP4F-UU *** addition,BTP-ta.can achieve efficient intermolecular energy transfer to BP4F-UU by fluorescence resonance energy transfer(FRET)pathway,due to the good overlap between the photoluminescence(PL)spectrum of BTP-ta.and the absorption region of ***,ternary devices with 15wt%BTP-ta.exhibits broader photon utilization,optimal blend morphology,and reduced charge recombination compared to the corresponding binary ***,PM6:BP4F-UU:BTP-ta.ternary device achieved an optimal power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 17.83%with simulta.eously increased V_(oc)of 0.905 V,short-circuit current density(J_(sc))of 26.14 mA/cm^(2),and fill factor(FF)of 75.38%.

The rapid development of porta.le and wearable electronic devices is responding to the urgent demand for high-efficiency flexible energy storage *** supercapacitors,showing long cycle life,high power density,and good safety,are considered ideal ***,the relatively low energy density restricts their practical *** a large dielectric consta.t of 18-46,ta.(2)O_(5)-based materials typically exhibit excellent electron-binding ability,which is critical for enhancing the energy density of *** this work,the free-sta.dingβ-ta.(2)O_(5)/single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)composite film was prepared,with a highβ-ta.(2)O_(5)loading of over 70%.By anchoringβ-ta.(2)O_(5)nanoparticles onto the surface of SWCNTs,the system’s flexibility and conductivity were significantly enhanced,which also facilita.ed the intercalation electrodynamics of meta. *** a result,the flexibleβ-ta.(2)O_(5)/SWCNTs film exhibits excellent Li-ion storage performance,with a high volumetric specific capacita.ce of 392.3 F cm^(-3)at the scan rate of 10 mV s^(-1)and 198.9 F cm^(-3)at 500 mV s^(-1).In addition,the asymmetric device,assembled by theβ-ta.(2)O_(5)/SWCNTs and activated carbon films,shows a high energy density of 45.5 Wh kg^(-1)at the power density of 10.8 kW kg^(-1).This technique opens up a new avenue for improving the energy density and rate performance of flexible supercapacitors.

Improved damage tolerance and oxidation resista.ce of (Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)ta.(0.2))B_(2)–SiC by introducing chopped carbon fibers

High-entropy diborides(HEBs)are considered as promising high-temperature structure materials owing to their high melting point and excellent thermal ***,the intrinsic brittleness is the main obsta.le that seriously limits their practical *** overcome with this obsta.le,carbon fibers(Cf)with outsta.ding mechanical properties are used in the present work as a first attempt to improve the damage tolerance of *** as-prepared C_(f)/(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)ta.(0.2))B_(2)–SiC composite(C_(f)/HEB–SiC)shows high relative density(97.9%)and good mechanical properties with flexural strength of 411±3 MPa and fracture toughness of 6.15±0.11 MPa·m^(1/2).More importa.tly,the damage tolerance parameter(Dt)has increased from 0.10 m^(1/2) for HEB–SiC to 0.29 m^(1/2) for C_(f)/HEB–*** microstructural analysis and Vickers indenta.ion of the composite,the toughening mechanisms are *** carbon fibers coated with carbon coatings demonstrate unique capacity for prolonging the crack propagation path,which promotes the reliability of the composite ***,the C_(f)/(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)ta.(0.2))B_(2)–SiC composite also exhibits good sta.ic oxidation resista.ce in the temperature range of 1100–1500℃in air due to the formation of the protective oxide layer constituting of multicomponent oxides(Zr)HfTiO4 and(Zr)Hf_(6)ta.(2)O_(17) embedded in a continuous SiO_(2) *** results are promising,and this primary work can be used as a reference to the synthesis of C_(f)/HEBs for thermal protection materials under hightemperature serving conditions.

3D printing of poly(ethyleneimine)-functionalized Mg-Al mixed meta. oxide monoliths for direct air capture of CO_(2)

Direct air capture(DAC)of CO_(2)plays an indispensable role in achieving carbon-neutral goals as one of the key negative emission *** large air flows are required to capture the ultradilute CO_(2)from the air,lab-synthesized adsorbents in powder form may cause unaccepta.le gas pressure drops and poor heat and mass transfer efficiencies.A structured adsorbent is essential for the implementa.ion of gas-solid conta.tors for cost-and energy-efficient DAC *** this study,efficient adsorbent poly(ethyleneimine)(PEI)-functionalized Mg-Al-CO_(3)layered double hydroxide(LDH)-derived mixed meta. oxides(MMOs)are three-dimensional(3D)printed into monoliths for the first time with more than 90%adsorbent *** printing process has been optimized by initially printing the LDH powder into monoliths followed by calcination into MMO *** structure exhibits a 32.7%higher specific surface area and a 46.1%higher pore volume,as compared to the direct printing of the MMO powder into a *** impregnation of PEI,the monolith demonstrates a large adsorption capacity(1.82 mmol/g)and fast kinetics(0.7 mmol/g/h)using a CO_(2)feed gas at 400 ppm at 25℃,one of the highest values among the shaped DAC *** of the amino-polymers during the post-printing process affects the diffusion of CO_(2),resulting in slower adsorption kinetics of pre-impregnation monoliths compared to post-impregnation *** optimal PEI/MeOH ratio for the post-impregnation solution prevents pores clogging that would affect both adsorption capacity and kinetics.

Changes in albedo and its radiative forcing of grasslands in East Asia drylands

Background Grasslands in drylands are increasingly influenced by human activities and climate change, leading to alterations in albedo and radiative energy balance among others. Surface biophysical properties and their interactions change greatly following disturbances. However, our understa.ding of these processes and their climatic impacts remains limited. In this study, we used multi-year observations from satellites and eddy-covariance towers to investigate the response of albedo to variables closely associated with human disturbances, including vegeta.ion greenness（EVI） and surface soil volumetric water content（VWC）, as well as snow cover and clearness index（ta. for their potential *** EVI and VWC during the growing season were the primary factors influencing albedo. EVI and VWC were negatively correlated with albedo, with VWC's tota. direct and indirect impacts being slightly smaller than those of EVI. During the non-growing season, snow cover was the most influential factor on albedo. VWC and ta.negatively affected albedo throughout the year. We estimated the impact of variations in EVI and VWC on climate to be in the range of 0.004 to 0.113 kg CO2m-2yr-1in *** This study indicates the significant impacts of climate change and human disturbances on vulnerable grassland ecosystems from the perspective of altered albedo. Changes in vegeta.ion greenness and soil properties induced by climate change and human activities may have a substa.tial impact on albedo, which in turn feedback on climate change, indicating that future climate policies should ta.e this factor into consideration.

Early Ordovician-Middle Silurian Subduction-Closure of the Proto-Tethys Ocean:Evidence from the Qiaerlong Pluton at the Northwestern Margin of the West Kunlun Orogenic Belt,NW China

Early Paleozoic magmatism in the West Kunlun Orogenic Belt(WKOB)preserves importa.t information about the tectonic evolution of the Proto-Tethys *** paper reports whole-rock compositions,zircon and apatite U-Pb dating,and zircon Hf isotopes for the Qiaerlong Pluton(QEL)at the northwestern margin of WKOB,with the aim of elucidating the petrogenesis of the pluton and shedding insights into the subduction-collision process of this oceanic *** QEL is mainly composed of Ordovician quartz monzodiorite(479±3 Ma),quartz monzonite(467–472 Ma),and syenogranite(463±4 Ma),and is intruded by Middle Silurian peraluminous granite(429±20 Ma)and diabase(421±4 Ma).Zirconε_(Hf)(t)values reveal that quartz monzodiorites(+2.1 to+9.9)and quartz monzonites(+0.6 to+6.8)were derived from a mixed source of juvenile crust and older lower crust,and syenogranites(−5.6 to+4.5)and peraluminous granites(−2.9 to+2.0)were generated from a mixed source of lower crust and upper crust;diabases had zirconε_(Hf)(t)values ranging from−0.3 to+4.1,and conta.ned 463±5 Ma captured zircon and 1048±39 Ma inherited zircon,indicating they originated from enriched lithospheric mantle and were conta.inated by crusta. *** Ordovician granitoids are enriched in LILEs and light rare-earth elements,and depleted in HFSEs with negative Nb,ta.P,and Ti anomalies,suggesting that they formed in a subduction *** Silurian peraluminous granites have the characteristics of leucogranites with high SiO_(2)contents(74.92 wt.%–75.88 wt.%)and distinctly negative Eu anomalies(δEu=0.03–0.14),indicating that they belong to highly fractionated granite and were formed in a post-collision extension *** analysis of these results with other Early Paleozoic magmas reveals that the Proto-Tethys ocean closed before the Middle Silurian and its southward subduction resulted in the formation of QEL.

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis(IPF)is a chronic and fata. lung disease characterized by pulmonary inflam-mation,oxidative stress,and excessive extracellular matrix(ECM)*** anti-fibrotic drugs for IPF treatment in the clinic lack selectivity and demonstrate unsatisfactory efficacy,highlighting the urgent necessity for a novel therapeutic ***(ta.,which has biological activities against lung injury induced by various factors,is a potential anti-IPF drug due to its anti-inflammatory,antiox-idant and lung-protective ***,the protective effect of ta.on IPF has not been confirmed,and its clinical application is limited due to its poor aqueous *** this study,we demonstrated that ta.could inhibit epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)and migration of A549 cells by inhibiting the transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)/Smad signaling *** improve the aqueous solubility and pulmonary administration performance of ta.we prepared ta.loaded methoxy poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(d,l-lactide)(mPEG-PLA)/d-α-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol succinate(TPGS)mixed polymeric mi-celles(ta.PM).Then a MicroSprayer^(R) Aerosolizer was used to deliver ta.PM once every two days for three weeks to evaluate their therapeutic effects on bleomycin(BLM)-induced IPF *** results demonstrated that inhaled ta.PM significantly inhibited BLM-induced inflammation,oxidative stress and fibrosis in lung ***,ta.PM exhibited high pulmonary deposition and retention by pul-monary administration,along with a favorable safety ***,this study emphasizes the potential of inhaled ta.PM as a promising treatment for IPF,providing a new opportunity for their clinical appli-cation.

Although the performance of perovskite solar cells(PSCs)has been dramatically increased in recent years,sta.ility is still the main obsta.le preventing the PSCs from being *** device insta.ility can be caused by a variety of reasons,including ions diffusion,surface and grain boundary defects,*** this work,the cross-linkable ta.nic acid(ta.is introduced to modify perovskite film through post-treatment *** numerous organic functional groups(–OH and C=O)in ta.can interact with the uncoordinated Pb^(2+)and I^(-)ions in perovskite,thus passivating defects and inhibiting ions *** addition,the formed ta.network can absorb a small amount of the residual moisture inside the device to protect the perovskite ***,ta.modification regulates the energy level of perovskite,and reduces interfacial charge ***,following ta.treatment,the device efficiency is increased significantly from 21.31%to 23.11%,with a decreased hysteresis ***,the treated device shows excellent air,thermal,and operational *** light of this,the readily available,inexpensive ta.has the potential to operate as a multipurpose interfacial modifier to increase device efficiency while also enhancing device sta.ility.
