Innovative design of sensing fluorophores possessing superior photophysical properties,porosity,and packing-resistance structures is pivotal for high performance film-based fluorescent ***,PDCB,a perylene monoimide(PMI)derivative incorporating large spatial phenyl-carborane was synthesized and found to exhibit unexpected photophysical *** structurally bent PDCB exhibits not only PMI-like emission but also a red-shifted *** sharp contrast,PMI-CBH,a linear PMI derivative,exhibits only PMI-like ***,upon local excitation,PDCB undergoes a photoinduced electron transfer(PET)between PMI and phenylcarborane,resulting in a charge-transfer *** other PMI derivatives,PCB and PDCBP,showed a similar *** PET rate is in the order of PCB(48 ps^(-1))>PDCB(163 ps^(-1))>PDCBP(815 ps^(-1))in toluene,which decreases with increasing steric hindrance,inferring structure reorganization prior to the PET *** expected,a fabricated PDCB-based sensor showed excellent performance in acetone sensing.

Shape memory alloys has been widely applied on actuators and medical *** transformation temperature and microstructural evolution play two crucial factors and dominate the behavior of shape memory *** order to understand the influence of the composition of the Ni-Ti alloys on the two factors,molecular dynamics was adopted to simulate the temperature-induced phase *** results were post-processed by the martensite variant identification *** method allows to reveal the detailed microstructural evolution of variants/phases in each case of the composition of *** features were found and having good agreement with those reported in the literature,such as the well-known Rank-2 herringbone structures;the X-interface;Ni-rich alloys have lower transformation temperature than Ti-rich *** addition,some new features were also *** example,the Ti-rich alloys enabled an easier martensitic transformation;the nucleated martensite pattern determined the microstructural evolution path,which also changed the atomic volume and temperature *** results generated in the current study are expected to provide the design guidelines for the applications of shape memory alloys.

The better compression rate can be achieved by the traditional vector quantization （VQ） method, and the quality of the recovered image can also be accepted. But the decompressed image quality can not be promoted efficiently, so how to balance the image compression rate and image recovering quality is an important issue, in this paper, an image is transformed by discrete wavelet transform （DWT） to generate its DWT transformed image which can be compressed by the VQ method further. Besides, we compute the values between the DWT transformed image and decompressed DWT transformed image as the difference matrix which is the adjustable basis of the decompressed image quality. By controlling the deviation of the difference matrix, there can be nearly Iossless compression for the VQ method. Experimental results show that when the number of compressed bits by our method is equal to the number of those bits compressed by the VQ method, the quality of our recovered image is better. Moreover, the proposed method has more compression capability comparing with the VQ scheme.

This paper proposes a stock price trend clustering and trend investment decision model by using a genetic algorithm to search for optimal solutions and the best investment strategies for different stock price *** new price trend clustering model identifies three types of stock price movements:uptrends,sideways trends,and ***,trends discovered through stock price movements or technical indicator graphs are typically subjective and *** paper takes daily stock prices and trading volume data from the China Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index(SSECI)from January 2,1997 to August31,2012,to examine the performance of the proposed trend clustering *** proposed model is also compared to other popular stock market investment strategies to verify its *** result shows that the proposed trend clustering model correctly identifies three different trends in the stock ***,the trend investment strategy model developed by using genetic algorithm methodology performs better than other investment strategies,namely,Granville’s rule,the KD indicator strategy,the buys and holds strategy,and GMA rules,in both bull and bear market *** results prove the proposed new model to be a stable and valid investment strategy.

NataONcatalysts were synthesized by a hydrothermal（H） and a solid-state（S） methods in this *** H-and S-NataONsamples were characterized by X-ray diffraction（XRD）, scanning electron microscopy（SEM）, transmission electron microscopy（TEM）, UV–visible（UV–vis） diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, and photoluminescence（PL） spectroscopy. The XRD patterns of the H-and S-samples showed peaks indexed to the pure phase of perovskite NataOand minor peaks assignable to taNat various synthesis temperatures. Substitution of oxygen by nitrogen ions causes the light absorption of the H-and S-NataONsamples to be extended to the 600–650 nm region, thus making the samples visible-light active. The NataONsamples exhibited photocatalytic activity for Hand Oevolution from aqueous methanol and silver nitrate solutions under visible-light irradiation. The UV–vis and PL spectra of the Hand S-catalysts revealed the presence of cationic vacancies and reduced metallic species, which acted as recombination centers. These results demonstrated that the preparation method plays a critical role in the formation of defect states, thereby governing the photocatalytic activity of the NataONcatalysts.

AIM: To investigate the relationship between breast cancer and fatty liver in Chinese ***: The study group consisted of 217 patients with newly diagnosed breast cancers and the control group of 182 subjects undergoing routine health examination in the same hospital. All subjects were female and the groups were matched for date of study. Ultrasound scanning was performed by the same operator using a 3.5 mHz *** of the liver was diagnosed based on the criteria of Saverymuttu et al. Clinical variables were statistically ***: Fatty liver was diagnosed in 98 patients of the study group and 37 patients of the control group, a significant difference was found in incidence (98/217, 45.2 % and 37/182, 20.3 %; P＜0.0001). On univariate analysis, fatty liver in breast cancer patients was associated with overweight,hyperlipidemia, and hepatitis. On multivariate analysis in the same patients, obesity and hyperlipidemia were significantly associated with fatty ***: The cause of fatty liver in women with breast cancer may be multifactorial. The present study confirms its link with overweight and hyperlipidemia.

AIM: Transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) plays a regulatory role in tissue repair. In a previous study, we found that TGF-β and its receptors were expressed in gastric mucosa of patients with well-healed gastric ulcers, as demonstrated by immunohistochemistry. To further characterize the role of TGF-β and its receptors in repairing gastric ulcers, we investigated the expression patterns of TGF-β and its receptors in gastric mucosa by in situ hybridization and reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).METHODS: Seventy-four patients with endoscopically proven gastric ulcers were eligible for participation in this study. All patients had routine biopsies on initial endoscopy and were then treated for 12 wk with an H2 blocker. Repeat endoscopy was then performed. There were 8 patients with poorly healed ulcers, and biopsies were taken from the margin of the residual ulcers. These tissue samples, along with biopsy of gastric mucosa near the original ulcers from 8 randomly selected patients with well-healed ulcers were examined for TGF-β and TGF-β receptor Ⅱ mRNA by RT-PCR and in situ hybridization, as well as ***: TGF-β and TGF-β receptor Ⅱ were strongly expressed in tissues from patients with well-healed *** of the 8 patients with poor healing had low or absent expression of TGF-β or TGF-β receptor Ⅱ mRNA. All cases positive by RT-PCR assay were confirmed by in situ hybridization as well as ***: It is suggested that TGF-β and its receptors are important for gastric ulcer healing. These results may have implications for further investigation of the healing process and in predicting response to therapy.

Aripiprazole, a third-generation antipsychotic, has been considered to have a high safety profile and rare withdrawal symptoms. We reported the case of a schizophrenic patient with a significant obsession, who was treated with a high dosage of aripiprazole and fluoxetine. Generalized tonic-clonic seizure occurred two days after abruptly stopping these two medications. Gradually tapering aripiprazole is suggested in clinical practice, especially when using a high dosage.
