In recent years, e-learning system has been adopted as a training tool in many firms, as it can help employees to complete training in a short time and at a low cost. Within this context, since 2003 the Industrial Development Bureau （IDB） of the Ministry of Economic Affairs （MOEA） in taiwan sponsored more than 50 enterprises each year to help them implement customized e-learning systems. Past research on e-learning mostly focused on one criterion and adopted regression approach, such as examining the relationships between satisfaction or continued usage intentions and various antecedent factors. Although the regression method could uncover the significant factors of e-learning adoption, they can not show the can （weighting） of each factor, and thus firms cannot allocate the optimal levels of resources. To overcome this problem, this study collected factors related to finns implementing customized e-learning systems from a review of the literature and expert opinions, and then constructed a hierarchical factor table. Based on the appropriateness and independence of factors, and as assessed by experts in the project promotion office of the IDB, e-learning solution providers and project leaders of the IDB sponsored enterprises, this paper then designed an Analytical Hierarchy Process （AHP） format questionnaire and sent it to these same experts to gather their responses. The factor weightings were derived based on the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process （FAHP） method. Finally, analysis of key factors was performed and recommendations provided. Based on the results for this work, service industry firms with limited resources can achieve proper resource allocation and more quickly and successfully adopt customized e-Learning systems.

To overcome power fading induced by chromatic dispersion in optical fiber communications,optical field recovery is a promising solution for direct detection short-reach applications,such as fast-evolving data center interconnects(DCIs).To date,various direct detection schemes capable of optical field recovery have been proposed,including Kramers−Kronig(KK)and signal−signal beat interference(SSBI)iterative cancellation(IC)***,they are all restricted to the single sideband(SSB)modulation format,thus conspicuously losing half of the electrical spectral efficiency(SE)compared with double sideband(DSB)***,SSB suffers from the noise folding issue,requiring a precise optical filter that complicates the receiver *** such,it is highly desirable to investigate the field recovery of DSB signals via direct *** this paper,for the first time,we propose a novel receiver scheme called carrier-assisted differential detection(CADD)to realize optical field recovery of complex-valued DSB signals via direct ***,CADD doubles the electrical SE compared with the KK and SSBI IC receivers by adopting DSB modulation without sacrificing receiver ***,by using direct detection without needing a precise receiver optical filter,CADD can employ cost-effective uncooled lasers as opposed to expensive temperature-controlled lasers in coherent *** proposed receiver architecture opens a new class of direct detection schemes that are suitable for photonic integration analogous to homodyne receivers in coherent detection.

The partial inverse problem for differential pencils on a star-shaped graph is studied from mixed spectral *** precisely,we show that if the potentials on all edges on the star-shaped graph but one are known a priori then the unknown potential on the remaining edge can be uniquely determined by partial information on the potential and a part of eigenvalues.

For structural comparisons of paired prokaryotic genomes,an important topic in synthetic and evolutionary biology,the locations of shared orthologous genes(henceforth orthologs)are observed as binned *** and other data,e.g.,wind directions recorded at monitoring sites and intensive care unit arrival times on the 24-hour clock,are counted in binned circular arcs,thus modeling them by discrete circular distributions(DCDs)is *** propose a novel method to construct a DCD from a base continuous circular distribution(CCD).The probability mass function is defined to take the normalized values of the probability density function at some pre-fixed equidistant points on the *** families of constructed DCDs which have normalizing constants in closed form are *** studies show that DCDs outperform the corresponding CCDs in modeling grouped(discrete)circular data,and minimum chi-square estimation outperforms maximum likelihood estimation for *** apply the constructed DCDs,invariant wrapped Poisson and wrapped discrete skew Laplace to compare the structures of paired bacterial ***,discrete four-parameter wrapped Cauchy(nonnegative trigonometric sums)distribution models multi-modal shared orthologs in Clostridium(Sulfolobus)better than the others considered,in terms of AIC and Freedman’s goodness-of-fit *** result that different DCDs fit the shared orthologs is consistent with the fact they belong to two ***,these prokaryotes have a common favored site around 70°on the unit circle;this finding is important for building synthetic prokaryotic genomes in synthetic *** DCDs can also be applied to other binned circular data.

Stability analysis of the dam is important for disaster prevention and reduction. The dam's geometry plays an important role in understanding its stability. This study develops a rapid landslide dam geometry assessment method for both earthquake-induced and rainfall-induced landslide dams based on nine real cases collected in Chinese taipei and 214 cases collected worldwide. For simplification purposes, a landslide dam is classified into triangular or trapezoidal. The rapid landslide dam geometry assessment method in this paper uses only satellite maps and the topographic maps to get landslide area, and then analyze the dam geometry. These maps are used to evaluate the area of the landslide and the slope of the river bed. Based on the evaluation information, the proposed method can calculate dam height, the length of the dam, and the angles of the dam in both upstream and downstream directions. These geometry parameters of a landslide dam provide important information for further dam stability analysis. The proposed methodology is applied to a real landslide dam case at Hsiaolin Village. The result shows that the proposed method can be used to assess the landslide dam geometry.

The compressional behaviour of a natural kyanite,(Al1.99Fe0.01)SiO5,has been investigated to about 17.5 GPa at 300 K using a diamond-anvil cell and synchrotron X-ray *** pressure-volume data fitted to the third-order Birch-Murnaghan equation of state(EoS) yield an isothermal bulk modulus(K0T) of 192 ± 6 GPa and pressure derivative(K00T) of 6 ± *** K00T is fixed as 4,the derived K0T is 201 ± 2 *** values are in excellent agreement with most experimental determinations in the ***,it can be concluded that the compressibility of kyanite under high pressures has been accurately constrained.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of acupressure on postpartum low back pain(LBP),salivary cortisol,physical limitations,and postpartum ***:Participants were 70 postpartum women who were randomly assigned to either an intervention(n=35)or a control(n=35)*** intervention group received 10 acupressure sessions(1 session per day,5 d per week).The control group received 10 sham acupressure *** were assessed using a visual analogue scale(LBP intensity),salivary cortisol values(LBP biomarker),and Chinese versions of the Roland-Morris Disability Questionnaire(daily activity limitations),Oswes-try Disability Index(physical activity limitations),and the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale(postpartum depression).RESULTS:Participants in the intervention group had significantly lower levels of LBP intensity,daily activity limitations,physical activity limitations,and postpartum depression than those in the control *** was no significant between-group difference in salivary ***:Acupressure may reduce postpartum LBP intensity and limitations in daily and physical activity,and alleviate postpartum depressive *** should be offered in postpartum care settings as an alternative treatment for postpartum women with LBP.
