AIM To investigate the role of embryonic liver fordin(ELF) in liver fibrosis by regulating hepatic stellate cells(HSCs) glucose *** The expression of ELF and the glucose glycolysisrelated proteins were evaluated in activated HSCs. si RNA was used to silence ELF expression in activated HSCs in vitro and the subsequent changes in PI3K/Akt signaling and glucose glycolysis-related proteins were *** The expression of ELF increased remarkably in HSCs of the fibrosis mouse model and HSCs that were cultured for 3 wk in vitro. Glucose glycolysis-related proteins showed an obvious increase in the activated HSCs, such as phosphofructokinase, platelet and glucose transporter 1. ELF-si RNA, which perfectly silenced the expression of ELF in activated HSCs, led to the induction of glucose glycolysis-related proteins and extracellular matrix(ECM) components. Moreover, p Akt, which is an important downstream factor in PI3K/Akt signaling, showed a significant change in response to the ELF silencing. The expression of glucose glycolysisrelated proteins and ECM components decreased remarkably when the PI3K/Akt signaling was blocked by Ly294002 in the activated HSCs. CONCLUSION ELF is involved in HSC glucose glycolysis by regulating PI3K/Akt signaling.

三发性甲状旁腺功能亢进症(tertiary hyperparathyroidism,THPT)是在长期继发性甲状旁腺功能亢进症(secondary hyperparathyroidism,SHPT)的基础上发展而来,其特征是甲状旁腺激素(PTH)自主分泌,血清钙水平升高,通常发生在肾移植后。THPT会增加骨折的风险,促进冠状动脉钙化,并是影响肾移植受者的重要因素;手术是THPT的首选治疗方法,但部分患者因未能及时识别并诊断该病而错过了最佳手术时机。为提高对THPT的认识,本文综述了THPT的发病机制、临床表现、影像学特点、诊断和治疗方面的最新进展。

An Iterative Rounding 2-approximation Algorithm for the k-partial Vertex Cover Problem

We study a generalization of the vertex cover problem. For a given graph with weights on the vertices and an integer k, we aim to find a subset of the vertices with minimum total weight, so that at least k edges in the graph are covered. The problem is called the k-partial vertex cover problem. There are some 2-approximation algorithms for the problem. In the paper we do not improve on the approximation ratios of the previous algorithms, but we derive an iterative rounding algorithm. We present our technique in two algorithms. The first is an iterative rounding algorithm and gives a （2 ＋ Q/OPT ）-approximation for the k-partial vertex cover problem where Q is the largest finite weight in the problem definition and OPT is the optimal value for the instance. The second algorithm uses the first as a subroutine and achieves an approximation ratio of 2.

Coughing is an obvious respiratory disease symptom,which affects the airways and lungs of *** pig houses,continuous online monitoring of cough sounds can be used to build an intelligent alarm system for disease early *** to complicated interferences in piggery,recognition of pig cough sound becomes *** a lot of algorithms have been proposed to recognize the pig cough sounds,the recognition accuracy in field sit-uations still needs *** purpose of this research is to provide a highly accu-rate pig cough recognition method for the respiratory disease alarm *** propose a classification algorithm based on the fine-tuned AlexNet model and feature of the *** the advantages of the convolutional neural network in image recognition,the sound signals are converted into spectrogram images for recognition,to enhance the *** compare the proposed algorithm’s performance with the probabilistic neural net-work classifier and some existing *** results reveal that the proposed algorithm significantly outperforms the other algorithms-cough and overall recognition accuracies reach to 96.8%and 95.4%,respectively,with 96.2%F1-score achieved.

BACKGROUND： It has been shown that interleukin-1β（IL-1β） can induce fever by activating vascular endothelial cells and macrophages of the supraoptic crest to generate prostaglandin E2, which binds with receptors of the thermo-sensitive hypothalamic neurons. Lonicera japonica is one of the medicinal plants used widely in Asia for its antipyretic properties. However, these mechanisms have not yet been intensively studied. OBJECTIVE： To investigate the antipyretic effect and mechanisms of Lonicera japonica on IL-1β- induced febrile New Zealand rabbits by observing expression changes of E-type prostaglandin receptor-3 （EP3） mRNA in the preoptic anterior hypothalamus （POAH）. DESIGN： A randomized controlled study. SETTING： Electrophysiological Laboratory at the Department of Pathophysiology, Medical College of Jinan University; Department of Orthopaedics, First Hospital Affiliated to Medical College of Jinan University. MATERIALS： The experiment was performed from April to December 2005, using a total of 32 New Zealand white rabbits of both sexes, weighing 1.5 2.0 kg. All the animal experiments were performed according to the internationally accepted ethical guidelines. Lonicera japonica injection was purchased from Huanghe pharmaceutical factory of Xi＇an, China. IL-1βwas purchased from Sigma, USA. METHODS： A total of 32 rabbits were divided randomly into four groups： ① Normal saline （NS） control group;② Lonicerajaponica treatment group; ③ IL-1βtreatment group; and ④Lonicerajaponica plus IL-1βtreatment group. In the first 3 groups, the rabbits were given separate intravenous （i.v.） injections of l mL NS, l mL Lonicera japonica, and 100 ng IL-l β （dissolved in 0.9% NS without pyrogen）. In the Lonicerajaponica plus IL-1βgroup each rabbit was given i.v. injections of l mL NS and, 30 minutes later, 100 ng IL-1 β. Based on the state transition rule, the local updating rule and the global updating rule of ant colony algorithm, we propose an improved ant colony algorithm of the least\|cost quality of service (QoS) unicast routing. The algorithm is used for solving the routing problem with delay, delay jitter, bandwidth, and packet loss\|constrained. In the simulation, about 52.33% ants find the successful QoS routing , and converge to the best. It is proved that the algorithm is efficient and effective.
