Inhibition of 11βHSD1 （11-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 1） is a promising strategy in drug treatment of diabetes. Several 11βHSDI inhibitors have been proposed; however, their selectivity to 11βHSD1 over its isozyme 11βHSD2 （11-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 2） has not been fully reported. The authors sought to provide a short list of top potent and selective compounds along with their detailed binding modes and pharmacophore models, Molecular docking was used for initial screening of a set of 23 potent inhibitors reported by previous experimental studies. After that, selected promising entries were reassessed by molecular dynamics simulations, followed by hydrogen bond analysis. Pharmacophore models of all drug candidates and binding modes of some selected drugs were analyzed. Among the 23 compounds, only four inhibitors were identified as potent and selective drug candidates. Binding energies, 3D pharmacophores and binding modes of the four compounds with 11βHSDI are also discussed in detail in this study.

In this study, we present a complete structural analysis ofAllomyrina dichotoma beetle＇s hind wings by investigating their static and dynamic characteristics. The wing was subjected to the static loading to determine its overall flexural stiffness. Dy- namic characteristics such as natural frequency, mode shape, and damping ratio of vibration modes in the operating frequency range were determined using a Bruel ＆ Kjaer fast Fourier transform analyzer along with a laser sensor. The static and dynamic characteristics of natural Allomyrina dichotoma beetle＇s hind wings were compared to those of a fabricated artificial wing. The results indicate that natural frequencies of the natural wing were significantly correlated to the wing surface area density that was defined as the wing mass divided by the hind wing surface area. Moreover, the bending behaviors of the natural wing and artificial wing were similar to that of a cantilever beam. Furthermore, the flexural stiffness of the artificial wing was a little higher than that of the natural one whereas the natural frequency of the natural wing was close to that of the artificial wing. These results provide important information for the biomimetic design of insect-scale artificial wings, with which highly ma- neuverable and efficient micro air vehicles can be designed.

We describe a new species of Rhacophorus based on two adult specimens collected from Hoa Binh Province, northern Vietnam. Rhacophorus hoabinhensis sp. nov. is distinguishable from its congeners on the basis of a combination of the following morphological characters： size small （SVL 31.1-32.5 mm in males）; head slightly longer than wide; vomerine teeth absent; snout short （SNL/SVL 0.16）; dorsal skin smooth; forearm and tarsus with dermal fringes; dermal appendage at vent present; webbing formula on fingers I12/3-12/3II1-2III1-1IV and on toes I3/4-1II1/2- IIII1/2-1IVI-1/2V; dorsal surface grey yellow with brown spots; lower jaw region dark grey, throat, chest and belly cream; anterior and posterior thighs, as well as ventral surface of tibia orange. The interspecific uncorrected genetic distances （16S rRNA gene） between the new species from Hoa Binh and other analyzed congeners varied from 9.8% to 17.4%. In the phylogenetic analyses, the new species revealed to be a representative of Rhacophorus and was nested within the R. hoanglienensis-orlovi species group.

Brandisia is a shrubby genus of about eight species distributed basically in East Asian evergreen broadleaved forests(EBLFs),with distribution centers in the karst regions of Yunnan,Guizhou,and Guangxi in southwestern *** on the hemiparasitic and more or less liana habits of this genus,we hypothesized that its evolution and distribution were shaped by the development of EBLFs *** test our hypothesis,the most comprehensive phylogenies of Brandisia hitherto were constructed based on plastome and nuclear loci(nrDNA,PHYA and PHYB);then divergence time and ancestral areas were inferred using the combined nuclear loci *** analyses reconfirmed that Brandisia is a member of Orobanchaceae,with unstable placements caused by nuclear-plastid *** Brandisia,three major clades were well supported,corresponding to the three subgenera based on *** was inferred to have originated in the early Oligocene(32.69 Mya)in the Eastern Himalayas-SW China,followed by diversification in the early Miocene(19.45 Mya)in karst *** differentiation dates of Brandisia were consistent with the origin of keystone species of EBLFs in this region(e.g.,Fagaceae,Lauraceae,Theaceae,and Magnoliaceae)and the colonization of other characteristic groups(e.g.,Gesneriaceae and Mahonia).These findings indicate that the distribution and evolution of Brandisia were facilitated by the rise of the karst EBLFs in East *** addition,the woody and parasitic habits,and pollination characteristics of Brandisia may also be the important factors affecting its speciation and dispersal.

The crosslinked gelatin/chitosan/poly(vinyl alcohol)/hydroxyapatite(GEL/CTS/PVA/HAp, GCPH) sponges were fabricated by a freeze-drying method to yield the reinforced composite sponges with proper features. The porosity value and pore size of the crosslinked GCPH sponges reached ～80% and 50–100 μm, respectively, which can be an appropriate range to allow cells to migrate into the reinforced composite sponges in the tissue engineering technology. Besides, the proper bonding presence between HAp particles and the crosslinked polymeric matrix or the crosslinked network formation between the polymers were also proved through fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and thermal gravimetric(TG/DTG) analysis. Owing to incorporation of HAp particles and good distribution of HAp particles inside the crosslinked polymeric matrix, their mechanical properties were improved through the determination of compression tests. Concomitantly, their water absorption ability reached effectively in both the distilled water and Na Cl solution, and their recovery also maintained well for 10 absorbing–squeezing cycles to be considered as an effective reusability for the crosslinked sponge ***, the crosslinked GCPH sponge prepared in the present study can become a potential candidate to apply especially in the biomedical/medical applications and tissue engineering technology.

This paper proposes a new Deep Feed-forward Neural Network(DFNN)approach for damage detection in functionally graded carbon nanotube-reinforced composite(FG-CNTRC)*** the proposed approach,the DFNN model is developed based on a data set containing 20000 samples of damage scenarios,obtained via finite element(FE)simulation,of the FG-CNTRC *** elemental modal kinetic energy(MKE)values,calculated from natural frequencies and translational nodal displacements of the structures,are utilized as input of the DFNN model while the damage locations and corresponding severities are considered as *** state-of-the art Exponential Linear Units(ELU)activation function and the Adamax algorithm are employed to train the DFNN ***,in order to enhance the performance of the DFNN model,the mini-batch and early-stopping techniques are applied to the training process.A trial-and-error procedure is implemented to determine suitable parameters of the network such as the number of hidden layers and the number of neurons in each *** accuracy and capability of the proposed DFNN model are illustrated through two distinct configurations of the CNT-fibers constituting the FG-CNTRC plates including uniform distribution(UD)and functionally graded-V distribution(FG-VD).Furthermore,the performance and stability of the DFNN model with the consideration of noise effects on the input data are also *** results indicate that the proposed DFNN model is able to give sufficiently accurate damage detection outcomes for the FG-CNTRC plates for both cases of noise-free and noise-influenced data.

天然橡胶是越南的重要支柱产业。与其他地区国家相比,越南橡胶产业发展晚于其他国家,如泰国、印尼、马来西亚等。但其发展速度较快,目前,越南已经成为世界第四大天然橡胶生产国与出口国。从2000年到现在,越南天然橡胶出口量不断增加;然而,由于天然橡胶的出口价格有较大的波动,所以其出口值也有一定的波动性。越南目前的天然橡胶出口贸易在国际市场上具有比较优势。本文以比较优势理论、竞争优势理论和产品出口竞争力理论为理论基础,利用市场占有率、显示性比较优势指数、相对贸易优势指数和出口增长率分析方法,对越南天然橡胶产业的出口竞争优势进行研究。同时,选取了泰国、印尼、马来西亚、越南和科特迪瓦5个国家,采用2005—2014年之间的数据,利用市场占有率、显示性比较优势指数、相对贸易优势指数和出口增长率,对比分析5个国家天然橡胶的国际竞争力。从统计过程结果中发现,5个国家的天然橡胶贸易在国际市场上具有比较优势,但每个国家天然橡胶的国际竞争力是不一样的。此外,印度尼西亚的天然橡胶出口潜力最高,泰国的天然橡胶出口潜力居第二位,第三是越南,第四是马来西亚,最后是科特迪瓦。最后根据越南天然橡胶产业的优势不足建立健全完善的预警系统,积极推进科学技术,在天然橡胶产业结构调整,增加天然橡胶产品出口值等方面提出相关建议。

This paper presents observer-based chaos suppression for a four-echelon supply chain system based on fractional order *** the market information is usually distorted,nonlinear observers for supply chain model are implemented to accomplish chaos suppression using linear matrix inequality(L MI).Sufficient conditions for the observer-based schemes are estab-lished by using Lyapunov stbility *** fractional calculus is utilised to provide superior dynamic performance for the controlled supply chain system over its integer-order *** simulations are performed to validate robust performance and stability of observer-based supply chain ***,it is found that the presented approach can help decision-makers develop effective supply chain networks under disruptions.

Scalable video coding (SVC) is the most promising video format for applications of collaborative communication. MPEG-21 standard has newly emerged to enable the interoperability of multimedia delivery in heterogeneous environments. In this paper we study adaptation of SVC bitstream in the context of MPEG-21 multimedia framework. For interfacing SVC bit- stream with MPEG-21 based adaptation system, we propose three SVC specific adaptation operators. Based on our previous work with multidimensional video adaptation, we present an effective approach, using MPEG-21 DIA AdaptationQoS description tool, to model QoS control for SVC adaptation. Then we show how the operator values could be computed from that representation. For the actual adaptation at bitstream level, we propose a procedure to remove the unnecessary NAL units from an SVC bitstream. The result of this study enables QoS management of SVC streaming in an efficient and standardized manner.

Microflowers made of interconnected MnO2 nanosheets have been successfully synthesized in a microwave reactor through a hydrothermal reduction of KMnO4 with aqueous HCI at elevated temperatures in the presence of superparamagnetic Fe3O4SiO2 core-shell *** to the chemical compatibility between SiO2 and MnO2,the heterogeneous reaction leads to the spontaneous encapsulation of the Fe3O4@SiO2 core-shell nanoparticles in the MnO2 *** resulting hybrid particles exhibit multiple properties including high surface area associated with the MnO2nanosheets and superparamagnetism originated from the Fe3O4@SiO2 core-shell *** are beneficial for applications requiring both high surface area and magnetic separation.
