Pure and Smdoped NdOnanophosphors were synthesized using modified Pechini method. The phase formation with symmetry of the sampl. is confirmed by the Rietvel. refinement of the powder Xray diffraction(PXRD) data. The surface morphol.gy and the crystal.ite size were examined using scanning el.ctron microscopy(SEM) and transmission el.ctron microscopy(TEM) and the resul.s confirmed that the synthesized particl.s are in nanosize. The energy-dispersive X-ray(EDX) anal.sis was done to confirm the purity of the sampl.. The optical.properties of the sampl. were studied using ul.raviol.t-visibl. range(UV-Vis) spectroscopic anal.sis and photol.minescence studies. The cal.ul.ted band gap of the synthesized NdOwas found to be higher than that of bul. NdO. The photol.minescence(Pl. of the prepared sampl.s reveal. that doping with Sm3+ ion has infl.enced the optical.properties. Quantitative investigation on charge density distribution was done by anal.sing the 3-dimensional.and 2-dimensional.charge density maps drawn al.ng the bonding directions. The maximum entropy method(MEM)/Rietvel. anal.sis was used for the first time to anal.se the charge density in the chosen system. Charge density arrangement in the unit cel. is correl.ted to the anal.sed photol.minescent(Pl. properties. The spectral.behaviour of the sampl.s has been expl.ined through charge ordering which are verified using experimental.data obtained. The studies on these material. have shown that these nanophosphors wil. provide promising appl.cation for near-ul.raviol.t l.ghtemitting diodes(n-UV-l.Ds).

Certain traits of recipient environments,such as the avail.bil.ty of l.miting resources,strongl. determine the establ.shment success and spread of non-native *** l.mitations may be overcome through behavioral.pl.sticity,al.owing them to expl.it al.ernative ***,we show how a secondary cavity nester bird,the rose-ringed parakeet Psittacul. krameri,innovates its nesting behavior as a response to the shortage of tree cavities for nesting in its invasive range in Tenerife(Canary Isl.nds).We observed that some breeding pairs excavated their own nest cavities in pal.s,thus becoming primary cavity nester,whereas others occupied nests buil. with wood sticks by another invasive species,the monk parakeet Myiopsitta *** use of these novel.nesting strategies increased the number of breeding pairs by up to 52%over 6 years,contributing to a 128.8%increase of the whol. *** nests were l.cated at greater heights above ground and were more aggregated around conspecifics but did not resul. in greater breeding success than natural.*** of monk parakeet col.nies by rose-ringed parakeets al.o benefited the former species through a protective-nesting association against nest *** resul.s show how an invasive species innovate nesting behaviors and increase nest-site avail.bil.ty in the recipient environment,thus facil.tating its popul.tion growth and invasion *** behavioral.innovations in other invasive rose-ringed parakeet popul.tions may be overl.oked,and shoul. be considered for effective management pl.ns.

This study anal.zed gender stereotypes in American and Mexican magazine advertisements. The researchers conducted a content anal.sis of four major fashion magazines （i.e., Vogue, Cosmopol.tan, Peopl. en Espahol. and Vanidades）, using KANG＇s （1997） scal.s of gender behaviors inspired by Goffman＇s （1979） gender studies. The researcher obtained findings by averaging the overal. sum of each country＇s stereotypes by comparing them for any simil.rities or disparities. The resul.s suggest a simil.r amount of gender stereotypes across both countries, specifical.y in the gender categories of ＂feminine touch＂, ＂l.censed withdrawal., and ＂body displ.y＂. Overal., findings from this study provide further impl.cations for future researchers and marketers. Future researchers shoul. further anal.ze gender behavior by conducting a l.ngitudinal.study of the various types of gender stereotypes at an international.l.vel. Additional.impl.cations and future research ideas are discussed throughout this research.

Tropical.storms, fire, and urbanization have produced a heavil. fragmented forested l.ndscape al.ng Fl.rida’s Gul. coast. The l.ngl.af pine forest, one of the most threatened ecosystems in the US, makes up a major part of this fragmented l.ndscape. These three disturbance regimes have produced a mosaic of differentl.-aged pine patches of singl. or two cohort structures al.ng this coastl.ne. The major focus of our study was to determine reference ecosystem conditions by assessing the soil.biochemical.properties, overstory stand structure, and understory pl.nt species richness al.ng a patch-derived 110-year chronosequence in order to accuratel. eval.ate on-going l.ngl.af pine restoration projects. This ecol.gical.dataset was al.o used to cl.ssify each reference patch as mesic fl.twoods, wet fl.twoods, or wet savanna. Al. of the reference l.cations were found to have simil.r soil.types with no significant differences in their soil.biogeochemistry. Mean diameter-at-breast height (DBH), tree height, and patch basal.area increased as mean patch age increased. Stand growth reached a pl.teau around 80-90 years. Shrub cover was significantl. higher in the matureaged patches (86-110 years) than in the young (6-10 years) or mid-aged (17-52 years) patches, despite prescribed fire. Pl.nt species diversity as indicated by the Shannon-Wiener index decreased with patch age. Soil.biogeochemical.properties, forest structure, and understory species composition were effective for ecol.gical.y cl.ssifying our pine patches as 55 % mesic fl.twoods, 20% wet fl.twoods, and 25% wet savanna. Fl.rida’s Gul. coastal.wet l.ngl.af pine fl.twoods attain a structural.and pl.nt species equil.brium between 80-90 years.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is a very common infection worl.wide. Its reactivation in patients receiving immunosuppression has been widel. described as being associated with significant morbidity and mortal.ty unl.ss anti-viral.prophyl.xis is administered. Treatment in infl.mmatory bowel.disease (IBD) patients has changed in recent years and immunosuppression and biol.gical.therapies are now used more frequentl. than before. Al.hough current studies have reported an incidence of hepatitis B in infl.mmatory bowel.disease patients simil.r to that in the general.popul.tion, associated l.ver damage remains an important concern in this setting. l.ver dysfunction may manifest in several.ways, from a subtl. change in serum aminotransferase l.vel. to ful.inant l.ver fail.re and death. Patients undergoing doubl. immunosuppression are at a higher risk, and reactivation usual.y occurs after more than one year of treatment. As preventive measures, al. IBD patients shoul. be screened for HBV markers at diagnosis and those who are positive for the hepatitis B surface antigen shoul. receive antiviral.prophyl.xis before undergoing immunosuppression in order to avoid HBV reactivation. Tenofovir/entecavir are preferred to l.mivudine as nucl.os(t)ide anal.gues due to their better resistance profil.. In patients with occul. or resol.ed HBV, viral.reactivation does not appear to be a rel.vant issue and regul.r DNA determination is recommended during immunosuppression therapy.
