R2R3-type Lo MYB21 affects jasmonate-regulated development and dehiscence of anthers in lily(Lilium oriental hybrids)

Lilies are widely cultivated for cut flowers,but their large anthers carry a considerable amount of colored pollen that is dispersed *** the molecular mechanism of anther development and dehiscence could help solve this ***21,encoding a putative R2R3v-myb avian myeloblastosis viral oncogene homolog(MYB)transcription factor,was identified from oriental lilies(Lilium‘Siberia’).Real-time quantitative PCR analysis showed that LoMYB21 was mainly expressed in the anther,filament and stigma and had high expression during the late stages of lily anther ***21 had transactivation activity and was located in the nucleus through yeast one-hybrid assays and transient expression in Nicotiana *** of LoMYB21 by virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS)in Lilium‘Siberia’led to anther indehiscence and reduced the expression of genes related to Jasmonate acid(JA)biosynthesis and signal *** of LoMYB21 in DEX::LoMYB21 transgenic Arabidopsis caused procumbent inflorescences that became infertile,accompanied by higher expression of JA biosynthetic and signaling *** results demonstrated that JA content and signaling were abnormal in silenced lily and transgenic LoMYB21 Arabidopsis,which affected anther *** study indicated that LoMYB21 could regulate lily anther dehiscence through JA biosynthesis and signaling during the late stages of anther development.

Opportunities and challenges of high-entropy materials in lithium-ion batteries

Lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) currently occupy an important position in the energy storage market, and the development of advanced LIBs with higher energy density and power density, better cycle life and safety is a hot topic for both academia and industry. In recent years, high-entropy materials(heMs) with complex stoichiometric ratios have attracted great attention in the field of LIBs due to their various promising functional properties. The adjustability and synergistic effects of multiple elements in heMs make them possible to break through the bottleneck of traditional electrode materials and electrolytes, providing new opportunities for the development of high-performance LIBs. This article provides an overview of the opportunities and challenges of heMs in LIBs, including cathodes, anodes and electrolytes. The progress of heMs in LIBs is first summarized and analyzed, then the potential advantages and limitations of heMs used in LIBs are concluded, finally some envisioned solutions are proposed to develop more advanced LIBs through heMs.

In this article,we consider a modified version of minimal L^(2) integrals on sublevel sets of plurisubharmonic functions related to modules at boundary points,and obtain a concavity property of the modified *** applications,we give characterizations for the concavity degenerating to linearity on open Riemann surfaces and on fibrations over open Riemann surfaces.

Cotton is one of the most important textile fibers *** crucial agronomic traits,leaves play an essential role in the growth,disease resistance,fiber quality,and yield of cotton *** repeat(PPR)proteins are a large family of nuclear-encoded proteins involved in organellar or nuclear RNA *** a virus-induced gene silencing assay,we found that cotton plants displayed variegated yellow leaf phenotypes with decreased chlorophyll content when expression of the PPR gene GhCTSF1 was ***1 encodes a chloroplast-localized protein that contains only two PPR *** of GhCTSF1 substantially reduces the splicing efficiency of rpoC1 intron 1 and ycf3 intron *** of function of the GhCTSF1 ortholog EMB1417 causes splicing defects in rpoC1 and ycf3-2,leading to impaired chloroplast structure and decreased photosynthetic rates in *** also found that GhCTSF1 interacts with two splicing factors,GhCRS2 and *** in GhCRS2 and GhWTF1 severely affect intron splicing of rpoC1 and ycf3-2 in cotton,leading to defects in chloroplast development and a reduction in *** results suggest that GhCTSF1 is specifically required for splicing rpoC1 and ycf3-2 in cooperation with GhCRS2 and GhWTF1.

A study on the energy transfer and migration in the molecules of polymeric triplet sensitizers (2) A study on delay fluorescence and polarization spectra

The triplet energy migration of polymers and copolymers of vinyl benzophenone (VBP)and vinyl naphthalene (VN) has been studied by measuring delayed fluorescence and polarizationspectra in glassy dilute solution at 77 K. Strong delayed fluorescence of PVN proves the existenceof triplet energy migration and T-T annihilation in the polymer chain. Efficient intersystem cross-ing of "BP" and efficient energy migration and transfer between chromophores along the polymerchain result in the absence of delayed fluorescence for copolymer P (VN-VBP) studied in this *** order of benzophenone phosphorescence intensity: BP>Co (VBP-St)>PVBP indicates the T-Tannihilation decreasing the phosphorescence of PVBP. Fluorescence and phosphorescence po-larization data of polymers are smaller than that of their model compounds. It is evident that energymigration exists in the polymer chain.

MnO-pillared graphene blocks enabling the ultrastable and ultrafast aqueous zinc ion batteries

Due to the low cost,high theoretical capacity,and environmental friendliness,manganese-based cathodes are regarded as promising alternatives for aqueous zinc ion batteries(AZIBs).However,the practicality of the zinc-manganese system is faced with great challenges,such as the inevitable structural collapse of the cathode and controversial energy storage ***,we propose a novel concept of spatial deposition mechanism through the addition of MnSO_(4) additives in the Mn O-pillared graphene blocks(G-MnO).The covalent interface between MnO nanoparticles and multilayered graphene nanosheets can construct an in-built micro-electric field,which is beneficial for consecutive electron transfer(in both horizontal and vertical directions).On this basis,the surficial activity of MnO confined in the interlayered nano-space is greatly enhanced and provides enough spatial deposition and subsequent reaction site for MnSO_(4) additives,thus firstly extending the surficial controlled process to stereoscopic space,effectively improving the electrochemical performance of ***,the assembled Zn//G-Mn O battery exhibits an excellent rate capability of 281.5 mAhg^(-1)at 0.1 A g^(-1)and 106 mAhg^(-1)at 20 Ag^(-1),and impressive cycling stability(93 mAhg^(-1)remaining after 5,000 cycles).This finding may provide a new opportunity for the rational design of surficial controlled energy storage and conversion devices.

The source of Double ITCZ induced by the SST bias over the tropical western Pacific as reflected in CAS-ESM2 Model

“Double ITCZ”is a common precipitation bias over the tropical Pacific in current climate models and Earth system models,but the reasons for its formation are still worth exploring and *** this study,we adopted the second version of Chinese Academy of Sciences Earth System Model(CAS-ESM2),by comparing a set of sea surface temperature(SST)bias correction experiments over the tropical Pacific,to explore the possible mechanism of SST bias on inducing the“Double ITCZ”from the perspective of the climatic annual mean bias in the coupled *** revealed that the simulated climatic annual mean SST bias over the tropical Pacific can affect the bias of latent heat flux through the saturation specific humidity,and the bias of latent heat flux can further affect that of vertical velocity of humid air by the condensation release mechanism,and finally modulate the simulated bias in ***,through the inter-comparison between different experiments,it is found that the source of Double ITCZ might mainly come from the annual mean SST bias over the tropical western Pacific through the proposed air-sea coupled process of“SST-saturated specific humidity-latent heat flux-vertical velocity-precipitation”,indicating a possible way on reducing the couple biases in models over the tropical Pacific to improve the accuracy of CAS-ESM2 for climate simulation.

Effective monitoring of atmospheric concentrations is vital for assessing the Stockholm Convention's effectiveness on persistent organic pollutants(POPs).This task,particularly challenging in polar regions due to low air concentrations and temperature fluctuations,requires robust sampling ***,the influence of temperature on the sampling efficiency of polyurethane foam discs remains *** we employ a flow-through sampling(FTS)column coupled with an active pump to collect air samples at varying *** delved into breakthrough profiles of key pollutants,such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs),polychlorobiphenyls(PCBs),and organochlorine pesticides(OCPs),and examined the temperature-dependent behaviors of the theoretical plate number(N)and breakthrough volume(VB)using frontal chromatography *** findings reveal a significant relationship between temperature dependence coefficients(KTN,KTV)and compound volatility,with decreasing values as volatility *** distinct trends are noted for PAHs,PCBs,and OCPs in KTN,KTV values exhibit similar patterns across all ***,we establish a binary linear correlation between log(VB/m3),1/(T/K),and N,simplifying breakthrough level estimation by enabling easy conversion between N and ***,an empirical linear solvation energy relationship incorporating a temperature term is developed,yielding satisfactory results for N at various *** approach holds the potential to rectify temperature-related effects and loss rates in historical data from long-term monitoring networks,benefiting polar and remote regions.
