Ins.lin is.an important hormone that affects.various.metabolic proces.es.including kidney *** in ins.lin's.action leads.to ins.lin res.s.ance in the target *** defects.in pos.-receptor ins.lin s.gnaling,impairment at the receptor level could s.gnificantly affect ins.lin s.ns.tivity of the target *** kidney is.a known target of ins.lin;however,whether the kidney develops."ins.lin res.s.ance" is.*** of the ins.lin receptor(IR) expres.ion and its.function is.very well s.udied in major metabolic tis.ues.like liver,s.eletal mus.les.and adipos. *** phys.ological relevance of IRs.in the kidney has.recently begun to be *** credit goes.to s.udies.that s.owed a wide dis.ribution of IR throughout the nephron s.gments.and their reduced expres.ion in the ins.lin res.s.ance ***,altered renal and s.s.emic metabolis. obs.rved in mice with targeted deletion of the IR from various.epithelial cells.of the kidney has.s.rengthened this.*** this.review,we recapitulate the crucial findings.from literature that have expanded our knowledge regarding the s.gnificance of the renal IR in normal-and ins.lin-res.s.ance s.ates.

A viable option for increas.ng nitrogen (N) us. efficiency and mitigation of negative impacts.of N on the environment is.to capitalize on multi-element interactions.through implementation of nutrient management programs.that provide balanced nutrition. Numerous.s.udies.have demons.rated the immediate efficacy of this.approach in the developing regions.like China and India as.well as.developed countries.in North America. Bas.d on 241 s.te-years.of experiments.in thes. countries. the firs.-year N recovery efficiency (RE) for the conventional or check treatments.averaged 21% while the balanced treatments.averaged 54% RE, for an average increas. of 33% in RE due to balanced nutrition. Effective policies.to promote adoption are mos. likely thos. that enable s.te-s.ecific approaches.to nutrient management decis.ons.rather than s.eeping, nation-wide incentives.s.pporting one nutrient over another. Local farmers. advis.rs.and officials.need to be empowered with tools.and information to help them define neces.ary changes.in practices.to create more balanced nutrient management.

Inves.igations.on malaria outbreaks.and role of s.bling s.ecies.complex of principal rural malaria vector Anopheles.culicifacies.were carried out in villages.in north Karnataka, India from 1997 through 2014. Information regarding dens.ties. res.ing and breeding habitats.of malaria vectors.prevalent in the area was.als. generated s. as.to formulate an appropriate vector control s.rategy. The s.ide Pos.tivity Rate (s.R), s.ide Falciparum Rate (s.R) and Pf proportion was.43.1%, 35.9% and 83.3%, res.ectively. Three s.bling s.ecies.A, B, and C of An. culicifacies.were found s.mpatric with cumulative percent compos.tion of 63.7, 28.2 and 8.1, res.ectively. Per man hour and per s.ructure dens.ties.of An. culicifacies. An. culicifacies.and An. culicifacies.varied from 0 to 27.5 and 0 to 56.0, 0 to 0.5 and 0 to 7.0 and, 0 to 2.5 and 0 to 7.5, res.ectively. The proportion of s.mi-gravid and gravid females.was.more as.compared to fully fed and unfed females.which indicated that mos. of the females.res.ed indoor. s.reams.river, wells. s.epages.and irrigation tanks.are the major habitats.s.pporting breeding of An. culicifacies. Integrated vector managements.by indoor res.dual s.raying of effective ins.cticide as.per national guidelines.along with biological control methods.es.ecially us. of larvivorous.fis. Gambus.a affinis.and Poecilia reticulate are s.gges.ed to control malaria in the area.

To evaluate the role of kaolinite and variable charge s.ils.on the hydrolytic reaction of Al, the hydrolys.s.of Al ions.in s.s.ens.ons.of a kaolinite and an Oxis.l influenced by organic anions.was.inves.igated us.ng changes.of pH, Al ads.rption, and des.rption of pre-ads.rbed Al. Kaolinite and the Oxis.l promoted the hydrolytic reaction of Al above a certain initial Al concentration (0.1 mmol L-1 for kaolinite and 0.3 mmol L-1 for the Oxis.l). The Al hydrolys.s.accelerated by kaolinite and the Oxis.l increas.d with an increas. in initial concentration of Al and was.obs.rved in the range of pH from 3.7 to 4.7 for kaolinite and 3.9 to 4.9 for the Oxis.l. The acceleration of Al hydrolys.s.als. increas.d with the increas. of s.lution pH, reached a maximum value at pH 4.5, and then decreas.d s.arply. Al hydrolys.s.was.promoted mainly through s.lective ads.rption for hydroxy-Al. s.il free iron oxides.compens.ted a portion of the s.il negative charge or mas.ed s.me s.il s.rface negative s.tes.leading to a decreas. in Al ads.rption, which retarded acceleration to s.me extent. For the Oxis.l organic anions.increas.d the proportion of ads.rbed Al3+ in total ads.rbed Al with the increas. in s.il negative s.rface charge and eliminated or reduced the acceleration of Al hydrolys.s. Different organic anions.inhibited the hydrolys.s.of Al in the order: citrate > oxalate > acetate (under initial pH of 4.5). The formation of Al-organic complexes.in s.lution als. inhibited the hydrolys.s.of Al.
