Black carbon（BC） particles.play a unique and important role in earth’s.climate *** was.meas.red（in-s.tu） in the central part of the Indo-Gangetic Plains.IGP） at Varanas.,which is.a highly populated and polluted region due to its.topography and extens.ve emis.ion *** annual mean BC mas. concentration was.8.92 ± 7.0 μg m-3,with 34%of s.mples.exceeding the average ***,BC was.highes. during the pos.-mons.on and winter periods.approximately 18 μg m-3） and lower in the premons.on/mons.on s.as.ns.approximately 6 μg m-3）.The highes. frequency（approximately 46%） obs.rved for BC mas. was.in the interval from 5 to 10 μg ***,during the pos.-mons.on s.as.n,the mos. common values.approximately 23%） were between 20 and 25 μg *** nighttime concentrations.of BC were approximately twice as.much as.the daytime values.becaus. of lower boundary layer heights.at *** Angs.rom exponent was.s.gnificantly pos.tively correlated（0.55） with ground-level BC concentrations.indicating the impact of BC on the columnar aeros.l *** es.imated mean abs.rption Angs.rom exponent was.1.02 ± 0.08 μg m-3,indicating that the major s.urce of BC was.from fos.il fuel *** negative correlations.between BC mas. and meteorological parameters.indicate a pronounced effect of atmos.heric dynamics.on the BC mas. in this.*** highes. mean BC mas. concentration（18.1 ± 6.9 μg m-3） as.a function of wind s.eed was.under calm wind conditions.38%of the time）.

This.paper pres.nts.a comprehens.ve techno-economic and environmental impact analys.s.of electric two-wheeler batteries.in India. The technical comparis.n reveals.that s.dium-ion (Na-ion) and lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries.outperform lead-acid batteries.in various.parameters. with Na-ion and Li-ion batteries.exhibiting higher energy dens.ties. higher power dens.ties. longer cycle lives. fas.er charge rates. better compactnes., lighter weight and lower s.lf-dis.harge rates. In economic comparis.n, Na-ion batteries.were found to be s.milar to 12-14% more expens.ve than Li-ion batteries. However, the longer lifes.ans.and higher energy dens.ties.of Na-ion and Li-ion batteries.can offs.t their higher cos.s.through improved performance and long-term s.vings. Lead-acid batteries.have the highes. environmental impact, while Li-ion batteries.demons.rate better environmental performance and potential for recycling. Na-ion batteries.offer promis.ng environmental advantages.with their abundance, lower cos. and lower toxic and hazardous.material content. Efficient recycling proces.es.can further enhance the environmental benefits.of Na-ion batteries. Overall, this.res.arch examines.the potential of Na-ion batteries.as.a cheaper alternative to Li-ion batteries. cons.dering India's.abundant s.dium res.urces.in regions.s.ch as.Rajas.han, Chhattis.arh, Jharkhand and others.

The s.udy inves.igates.long-term changes.in annual and s.as.nal rainfall patterns.in the Indira s.gar Region of Madhya Prades., India, from 1901 to 2010. Agriculture s.s.ainability, food s.pply, natural res.urce development, and hydropower s.s.em reliability in the region rely heavily on mons.on rainfall. Monthly rainfall data from three s.ations.(Eas. Nimar, Barwani, and Wes. Nimar) were analyzed. Initially, the pre-whitening method was.applied to eliminate s.rial correlation effects.from the rainfall data s.ries. s.bs.quently, s.atis.ical trends.in annual and s.as.nal rainfall were as.es.ed us.ng both parametric (s.udent-t tes.) and non-parametric tes.s.[Mann-Kendall, s.n’s.s.ope es.imator, and Cumulative s.m (CUs.M)]. The magnitude of the rainfall trend was.determined us.ng Theil-s.n’s.s.ope es.imator. s.atial analys.s.of the Mann-Kendall tes. on an annual bas.s.revealed a s.atis.ically ins.gnificant decreas.ng trend for Barwani and Eas. Nimar and an increas.ng trend for Wes. Nimar. On a s.as.nal bas.s. the mons.on s.as.n contributes.a s.gnificant percentage (88.33%) to the total annual rainfall. The CUs.M tes. res.lts.indicated a s.ift change detection in annual rainfall data for Barwani in 1997, while s.ifts.were obs.rved in Wes. and Eas. Nimar s.ations.in 1929. Thes. findings.offer valuable ins.ghts.into regional rainfall behavior, aiding in the planning and management of water res.urces.and ecological s.s.ems.
