Background:The dysregulation of Isocitrate dehydrogenase(IDH)and the subsequent production of 2-Hydroxyglutrate(2HG)may alter the expression of epigenetic proteins in Grade 4 *** interplay mechanism between IDH,O-6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase(MGMT)-promoter methylation,and protein methyltransferase proteins-5(PRMT5)activity,with tumor progression has never been ***:A retrospective cohort of 34 patients with G4 astrocytoma is classified into IDH-mutant and IDH-wildtype *** groups were tested for MGMT-promoter methylation and PRMT5 through methylation-specific and gene expression PCR ***-cohort statistical significance was ***:Both IDH-mutant WHO grade 4 astrocytomas(n=22,64.7%)and IDH-wildtype glioblastomas(n=12,35.3%)had upregulated PRMT5 gene expression except in one *** of the 22 IDH-mutant tumors,10(45.5%)tumors showed MGMT-promoter methylation and 12(54.5%)tumors had unmethylated *** IDH-wildtype tumors had unmethylated *** was a statistically significant relationship between MGMT-promoter methylation and IDH in G4 astrocytoma(p-value=0.006).Statistically significant differences in progression-free survival(PFS)were also observed among all G4 astrocytomas that expressed PRMT5 and received either temozolomide(TMZ)or TMZ plus other chemotherapies,regardless of their IDH or MGMT-methylation status(p-value=0.0014).Specifically,IDH-mutant tumors that had upregulated PRMT5 activity and MGMT-promoter methylation,who received only TMZ,have exhibited longer ***:The relationship between PRMT5,MGMT-promoter,and IDH is not ***,accumulation of D2-hydroxyglutarate(2-HG),which partially activates 2-OG-dependent deoxygenase,may not affect their *** IDH-wildtype glioblastomas,the 2HG-2OG pathway is typically inactive,leading to PRMT5 *** alone,compared to TMZ-plus,can increase PFS in upregulated PRMT5 ***,using a PRMT5 inhibitor in G4

Keypoint Description Using Statistical Descriptor with Similarity-Invariant Regions

This article presents a method for the description of key points using simple statistics for regions controlled by neighboring key points to remedy the gap in existing ***,the existent descriptors such as speeded up robust features(SURF),Kaze,binary robust invariant scalable keypoints(BRISK),features from accelerated segment test(FAST),and oriented FAST and rotated BRIEF(ORB)can competently detect,describe,and match images in the presence of some artifacts such as blur,compression,and ***,the performance and reliability of these descriptors decrease for some imaging variations such as point of view,zoom(scale),and *** intro-duced description method improves image matching in the event of such *** utilizes a contourlet-based detector to detect the strongest key points within a speciﬁed window *** selected key points and their neighbors con-trol the size and orientation of the surrounding regions,which are mapped on rec-tangular shapes using polar *** resulting rectangular matrices are subjected to two-directional statistical operations that involve calculating the mean and standard ***,the descriptor obtained is invariant(translation,rotation,and scale)because of the two methods;the extraction of the region and the polar transformation techniques used in this *** descrip-tion method introduced in this article is tested against well-established and well-known descriptors,such as SURF,Kaze,BRISK,FAST,and ORB,techniques using the standard OXFORD *** presented methodology demonstrated its ability to improve the match between distorted images compared to other descriptors in the literature.

Today,security is a major challenge linked with computer network companies that cannot defend against *** vulnerable factors increase security risks and cyber-attacks,including viruses,the internet,communications,and *** of Things(IoT)devices are more effective,and the number of devices connected to the internet is constantly increasing,and governments and businesses are also using these technologies to perform business activities ***,the increasing uses of technologies also increase risks,such as password attacks,social engineering,and phishing *** play a major role in the field of *** is observed that more than 39%of security risks are related to the human factor,and 95%of successful cyber-attacks are caused by human error,with most of them being insider *** major human factor issue in cybersecurity is a lack of user awareness of cyber *** study focuses on the human factor by surveying the vulnerabilities and reducing the risk by focusing on human nature and reacting to different *** study highlighted that most of the participants are not experienced with cybersecurity threats and how to protect their personal ***,the lack of awareness of the top three vulnerabilities related to the human factor in cybersecurity,such as phishing attacks,passwords,attacks,and social engineering,are major problems that need to be addressed and reduced through proper awareness and training.

Ensemble machine learning framework for daylight modelling of various building layouts

The application of machine learning(ML)modelling in daylight prediction has been a promising approach for reliable and effective visual comfort *** many advancements have been made,no standardized ML modelling framework exists in daylight *** this study,625 different building layouts were generated to model useful daylight illuminance(UDI).Two state-of-the-art ML algorithms,eXtreme Gradient Boosting(XGBoost)and random forest(RF),were employed to analyze UDI in four categories:UDI-f(fell short),UDI-s(supplementary),UDI-a(autonomous),and UDI-e(exceeded).A feature(internal finish)was introduced to the framework to better reflect real-world *** results show that XGBoost models predict UDI with a maximum accuracy of R^(2)=*** to RF,the XGBoost ML models can significantly reduce prediction *** research directions have been specified to advance the proposed framework by introducing new features and exploring new ML architectures to standardize ML applications in daylight prediction.

Classification and Diagnosis of Lymphoma’s Histopathological Images Using Transfer Learning

Current cancer diagnosis procedure requires expert knowledge and is time-consuming,which raises the need to build an accurate diagnosis support system for lymphoma identification and *** studies have shown promising results using Machine Learning and,recently,Deep Learning to detect malignancy in cancer ***,the diversity and complexity of the morphological structure of lymphoma make it a challenging classification *** literature,many attempts were made to classify up to four simple types of *** paper presents an approach using a reliable model capable of diagnosing seven different categories of rare and aggressive *** Lymphoma types are Classical Hodgkin Lymphoma,Nodular Lymphoma Predominant,Burkitt Lymphoma,Follicular Lymphoma,Mantle Lymphoma,Large B-Cell Lymphoma,and T-Cell *** proposed approach uses Residual Neural Networks,ResNet50,with a Transfer Learning for lymphoma’s detection and *** model used results are validated according to the performance evaluation metrics:Accuracy,precision,recall,F-score,and kappa score for the seven *** algorithms are tested,and the results are validated on 323 images of 224×224 pixels *** results are promising and show that our used model can classify and predict the correct lymphoma subtype with an accuracy of 91.6%.

Future networks communication scenarios by the 2030s will include notable applications are three-dimensional(3D)calls,haptics communications,unmanned mobility,tele-operated driving,bio-internet of things,and the Nanointernet of *** the current scenario in which megahertz bandwidth are sufficient to drive the audio and video components of user applications,the future networks of the 2030s will require bandwidths in several gigahertzes(GHz)(from tens of gigahertz to 1 terahertz[THz])to perform *** on the current radio frequency allocation chart,it is not possible to obtain such a wide contiguous radio spectrum below 90 GHz(0.09 THz).Interestingly,these contiguous blocks of radio spectrum are readily available in the higher electromagnetic spectrum,specifically in the Terahertz(THz)frequency *** major contribution of this study is discussing the substantial issues and key features of THz waves,which include(i)key features and significance of THz frequency;(ii)recent regulatory;(iii)the most promising applications;and(iv)possible open research *** research topics were deeply investigated with the aim of providing a specific,synopsis,and encompassing ***,this article will be as a catalyst towards exploring new frontiers for future networks of the 2030s.

The design of green cellular networking according to the trafc arrivals has the capability to reduce the overall energy consumption to a cluster in a cost-effective *** cell zooming approach has appealed much attention that adaptively ofoads the BS load demands adjusting the transmit power based on the trafc intensity and green energy ***,the researchers are focused on implementing renewable energy resources,which are considered the most attractive practices in designing energy-efcient wireless networks over the long term in a cost-efcient way in the existing *** utilization of available solar can be adapted to acquire cost-effective and reliable power supply to the BSs,especially that sunlight is free,available everywhere,and a good alternative energy option for the remote ***,planning a photovoltaic scheme necessitates viability assessment to avoid poor power supply,particularly for ***,cellular operators need to consider both technical and economic factors before the implementation of solar-powered *** paper proposed the usercentric cell zooming policy of solar-powered cellular base stations taking into account the optimal technical criteria obtained by the HOMER software *** results have shown that the proposed system can provide operational expenditure(OPEX)savings of up to 47%.In addition,the efcient allocation of resource blocks(RBs)under the cell zooming technique attain remarkable energy-saving performance yielding up to 27%.

The rapid growth and uptake of network-based communication technologies have made cybersecurity a significant challenge as the number of cyber-attacks is also increasing.A number of detection systems are used in an attempt to detect known attacks using signatures in network *** recent years,researchers have used different machine learning methods to detect network attacks without relying on those *** methods generally have a high false-positive rate which is not adequate for an industry-ready intrusion detection *** this study,we propose and implement a new method that relies on a modular deep neural network for reducing the false positive rate in the XSS attack detection *** were performed using a dataset consists of 1000 malicious and 10000 benign *** model uses 50 features selected by using Pearson correlation method and will be used in the detection and preventions of XSS *** results obtained from the experiments depict improvement in the detection accuracy as high as 99.96%compared to other approaches.
