Electroluminescence （EL） characteristics have been studied for a hybrid tandem white organic light emitting diode （OLED） with a blue emitting fluorescent EL1 unit based on BCzVBi and a yellow emitting phosphorescent EL2 unit based on （fbi）2Ir（acac）, where a MoO3 layer is inserted between EL1 and EL2 units as charge generation layer （CGL）. Maximum current and power efficiencies of 68.1 cd/A and 29.2 lm/W were obtained, respectively, while the current and power efficiencies at luminance of 1000 cd/m2 were 68.0 cd/A and 24.6 lm/W. the yellow emission appears from about 4.5 V firstly, while the blue emission starts to appear from about 5.4 V. It was found that charge generation from CGL of MoO3/NPB bilayer occurred at high voltages of above 5.4 V but not at low voltages below 5.2 V.

the polarized absorption spectra of tm3+/Er3+:YVO4 crystal were measured at room temperature. Based on the Judd-Ofelt theory, the spectral parameters were obtained: the intensity parameters Wl of tm3+ in tm/Er:YVO4 crystal: W2 = 10.69×10-20, W4 = 0.604×10-20, W6 = 2.05×10-20 cm2 for the (100) face and W2 = 10.43×10-20, W4 = 0.13×10-20, W6 = 1.83×10-20 cm2 for the (001) face. Based on these values, the oscillator strength, radioactive lifetime and fluorescence branch ratio were calculated for tm3+ in tm/Er:YVO4 crystal.

this paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. the influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. to depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both Fick's and Fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate system, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(PDEs)for momentum, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAM).the effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and temperature distributions are shown via graphs. Furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and temperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the Schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the Peclet number, the Schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective Lewis number.

Simultaneous enhancement of efficiency and stability of OLEDs with thermally activated delayed fluorescence materials by modifying carbazoles with peripheral groups

Albeit their high efficiencies, the operational stability of the organic light emitting diodes(OLEDs) based on thermally activated delayed fluorescence(tADF) emitters is still far from satisfaction, and few strategies have been proposed to improve their stability. Here, we show that by modifying the carbazole unit, one of the most commonly used donors in tADF emitters, with peripheral groups, both the device efficiency and operational stability can be greatly improved. Awell-known tADF molecule—4,5-di(9H-carbazol-9-yl)phthalonitrile(2CzPN) was chosen as the prototype and modified by introducing peripheral tert-butyl and phenyl groups to the 3,6-positions of the carbazole(named 2tBuCzPN and 2PhCzPN, respectively). the introduced groups not only improve the compounds' electrochemical stabilities referred to the cyclic voltammetry multi-sweep results, but also promote their photoluminescence quantum yields. Furthermore, reduced singlet-triplet energy gaps are observed, leading to the shortened exciton lifetimes which are benefit to suppress the exciton annihilations. Besides, the steric hindrance of introduced phenyl groups can partly restrain the concentration quenching of the tADF emitter. Consequently, OLEDs based on 2tBuCzPN and 2PhCzPN achieved improved maximum external quantum efficiencies(EQEs) of 17.0% and 14.0%, respectively(compared to 8.5% for 2CzPN). Meanwhile, 2PhCzPN based OLED showed reduced roll-off characteristics and a longer lifetime of 7.8 times higher than that of 2CzPN, testifying the effectiveness of subtle modification of the unstable moieties in simultaneous enhancement of efficiency and stability of OLEDs based on tADF emitters.

the world population is continually increasing, but the Japanese population is decreasing. By 2050, the Japanese population is calculated to be close to 100 million people, and by 2060, 40% of the Japanese are estimated to be aged 65 years or more. Data show an increase in the declining birth and aging rates of the population. the development of high-concentration urban structures will be needed to solve such problems. However, a detailed vision of the future is yet to be clarified and in the process of consideration. In this study, we developed an instrument called ＂Population Migration tool,＂ which is based on plural planning and policy, after we formed a future population distribution model. In addition, We also established a high- concentration urban structure model with this tool with the aim of considering the kind of urban structure local cities should target in the future.

Background:Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common cause of cancer-related death in Saudi Arabia. Our study aimed to investigate the patterns of HCC and the effect of tNM staging, Alfa-fetoprotein (AFP), and Child-turcotte Pugh (CtP) on patients' overall survival (OS).Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 43 HCC patients at a single oncology center in Saudi Arabia from 2015 to 2020. All patients had to fulfill one of the following criteria: (a) a liver lesion reported as definitive HCC on dynamic imaging and/or (b) a biopsy-confirmed diagnosis.Results:the mean patient age of all HCC cases was 66.8 with a male-to-female ratio of 3.3:1. All patients were stratified into two groups: viral HCC (n = 22, 51%) and non-viral HCC (n = 21, 49%). Among viral-HCC patients, 55% were due to HBV and 45% due to HCV. Cirrhosis was diagnosed in 79% of cases. Age and sex did not significantly statistically differ in OS among viral and non-viral HCC patients (-value > 0.05). About 65% of patients had tumor size >5 cm during the diagnosis, with a significant statistical difference in OS (-value = 0.027). AFP was >400 ng/ml in 45% of the patients. there was a statistically significant difference in the OS in terms of AFP levels (-value = 0.021). A statistically significant difference was also observed between the CtP score and OS (-value = 0.02). CtP class B had the longest survival. BSC was the most common treatment provided to HCC patients followed by sorafenib therapy. there was a significant statistical difference in OS among viral and non-viral HCC patients (-value = 0.008).Conclusions:the most common predictors for OS were the underlying cause of HCC, AFP, and tumor size. Being having non-viral etiology, a tumor size >5 cm, an AFP > 400 ng/mL, and a CtP score class C were all negatively associated with OS.

Neurons migrate from their birthplaces to the destinations,and extending axons navigate to their synaptic targets by sensing various extracellular cues in spatiotemporally controlled *** evolutionally conserved guidance cues and their receptors regulate multiple aspects of neural development to establish the highly complex nervous system by mediating both short-and long-range cell-cell *** guidance genes(encoding cues,receptors,or downstream signal transducers)are critical not only for development of the nervous system but also for synaptic maintenance,remodeling,and function in the adult *** emerging theme is the combinatorial and complementary functions of relatively limited classes of neuronal guidance genes in multiple processes,including neuronal migration,axonal guidance,synaptogenesis,and circuit ***,neuronal guidance genes also regulate cell migration and cell-cell communications outside the nervous *** are just beginning to understand how cells integrate multiple guidance and adhesion signaling inputs to determine overall cellular/subcellular behavior and how aberrant guidance signaling in various cell types contributes to diverse human diseases,ranging from developmental,neuropsychiatric,and neurodegenerative disorders to cancer *** review classic studies and recent advances in understanding signaling mechanisms of the guidance genes as well as their roles in human ***,we discuss the remaining chalienges and therapeutic potentials of modulating neuronal guidance pathways in neural repair.

this paper investigates the free vibration and transient response of interconnected structures including double curved beams and intermediate straight beams,which are all constructed from functionally graded porous(FGP) materials. the strain potential and kinetic energies of each beam along with the work done by the external force are calculated. Additionally, a higher-order beam element is introduced to derive stiffness and mass matrices, along with the force vector. the curved and straight beams are discretized, and their assembled stiffness, mass matrices, and force vectors, are *** conditions at the joints are used to derive the total matrices of the entire structure. Subsequently, the natural frequencies and transient response of the system are determined. the accuracy of the mathematical model and the self-developed computer program is validated through the comparison of the obtained results with those of the existing literature and commercial software ANSYS, demonstrating excellent ***, a comprehensive study is conducted to investigate the effects of various parameters on the free vibration and transient response of the considered structure.
