though the preferred welding process to weld aluminium alloy is frequently constant current gas tungsten arc welding (CCGtAW),it resulted in grain coarsening at the fusion zone and heat affected zone(HAZ).Hence,pulsed current gas tungsten arc welding(PCGtAW) was performed,to yield finer fusion zone grains,which leads to higher strength of AA6061 (Al-Mg-Si) aluminium alloy *** order to determine the most influential control factors which will yield minimum fusion zone grain size and maximum tensile strength of the joints,the traditional Hooke and Jeeves pattern search method was *** experiments were carried out based on central composite design with 31 runs and an algorithm was developed to optimize the fusion zone grain size and the tensile strength of pulsed current gas tungsten arc welded AA6061 aluminium alloy *** results indicate that the peak current (Ip) and base current (IB) are the most significant parameters,to decide the fusion zone grain size and the tensile strength of the AA6061 aluminum alloy joints.

Medium strength aluminium alloy （Al-Mg-Si alloy） has gathered wide acceptance in the fabrication of light weight structures requiring a high strength-to weight ratio, such as transportable bridge girders, military vehicles, road tankers and railway transport systems. the preferred welding process for aluminium alloy is frequently tIG （tungsten inert gas） welding due to its comparatively easier applicability and better *** the case of single pass tIG welding of thinner section of this alloy, the pulsed current has been found beneficial due to its advantages over the conventional continuous current process. the use of pulsed current parameters has been found to improve the mechanical properties of the welds compared to those of continuous current welds of this alloy due to grain refinement occurring in the fusion zone. A mathematical model has been developed to predict pitting corrosion potential of pulsed current tIG welded AA6061 aluminium *** experimental design has been used to optimize the experimental conditions. Analysis of variance technique has been used to find out the significant pulsed current parameters. Regression analysis has been used to develop the model. Using the developed model pitting corrosion potential values have been estimated for different combinations of pulsed current parameters and the results are analyzed in detail.

An attempt was made to optimize friction welding parameters to attain a minimum hardness at the interface and a maximum tensile strength of the dissimilar joints of AISI 304 austenitic stainless steel （ASS） and copper （Cu） alloy using response surface methodology （RSM）. three-factor, five-level central composite design matrix was used to specify experimental conditions. twenty joints were fabricated using ASS and Cu alloy. tensile strength and interface hardness were measured experimentally. Analysis of variance （ANOVA） method was used to find out significant main and interaction parameters and empirical relationships were developed using regression analysis. the friction welding parameters were optimized by constructing response graphs and contour plots using design expert software. the developed empirical relationships can be effectively used to predict tensile strength and interface hardness of friction welded ASS-Cu joints at 95% confidence level. the developed contour plots can be used to attain required level of optimum conditions to join ASS-Cu alloy by friction welding process.

the study of cordierite ceramic is the need of the hour in present technological world for various advanced engineering ***,which has relatively poor mechanical properties,has induced the use of various dopants to study the improvement in mechanical *** of seeking new materials with good mechanical properties has revived the research on ceria doped *** research conducted on pure cordierite and ceria doped cordierite ceramics has investigated the results of characterization and studied their *** cordierite and cordierite-ceria(CeO_(2))composite ceramics synthesized for various stoichiometric composition(5-20 wt%)were compacted at 240 MPa and sintered between 600℃and 1350℃for 3 *** characterization techniques used in this study were X-ray diffraction(XRD),thermogravimetric(tG)analysis and Fourier transform infrared(FtIR).the density was calculated using the Archimedes *** of the ceria addition on cordierite’s mechanical properties such as hardness,flexural strength and fracture toughness and on thermal properties as thermal expansion was *** results confirmed the presence of cordierite and ceria in the samples heat treated at 1350℃.Results of FtIR and tG analyses revealed the formation of cordierite and the effect of ceria *** mechanical properties studied were found to be encouraging and confirmed the suitability of cordierite-ceria as an alternate material for cordierite.

ZnSe∶Mn nanocrystals were grown by chemical vapour transport method using the matrix of SiO2 aerogels. the cubic structure of the nanocrystals was confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and electron diffraction (ED) studies. the size of the crystals was observed using transmission electron microscope (tEM). the oxidation state of Mn in ZnSe nanocrystal was found using electron spin resonance (ESR) spectrum. the room temperature luminescence measurements show the peaks corresponding to both bandgap of the material and Mn in ZnSe.

the 18 kDa translocator protein(tSPO)located on the outer mitochondrial membrane regulates several key cellular processes including mitochondrial homeostasis,cholesterol transport,apoptosis,cell proliferation,and maintenance of mitochondrial health(Rupprecht et al.,2022,2023).tSPO is expressed in both peripheral organs and the central nervous system,with a more pronounced expression in tissues that produce *** main reason why tSPO has garnered so much attention is because it plays a key role in neurosteroidogenesis by transferring cholesterol from the outer to the inner mitochondrial membrane,which is the rate-limiting step in neurosteroid synthesis.A cholesterol-recognizing amino acid consensus domain has been identified in the cytosolic C terminus of the tSPO protein by both in vitro and site-directed mutagenesis experiments(Li et al.,2001).However,the role of tSPO in the process of neurosteroid synthesis has been challenged by several studies,particularly tSPO knockout models,which suggest that tSPO removal does not affect the phenotype or the system’s viability(tu et al.,2014).However,ligands targeting tSPO have been shown to enhance levels of neurosteroids which suggests that neurosteroidogenesis is one of the major functional roles mediated by the tSPO protein.

Manufacturing industries are facing challenges in the implementation of agile manufacturing in their products and processes. Agility is widely accepted as a new competitive concept in the manufacturing sector in fulfilling varying customer demand. thus, evaluation of agile manufacturing in industries has become a necessity. the success of an organisation depends on its ability to manage finding the critical success factors and give them special and continued attention in order to bring about high performance. this paper proposes a set of critical success factors （CSFs） for evaluating agile manufacturing considered appropriate for the manufacturing sector. the analytical hierarchy process （AHP） method is applied for prioritizing the success factors, by summarizing the opinions of experts. It is believed that the proposed CSFs enable and assist manufacturing industries to achieve a higher performance in agile manufacturing so as to increase competitiveness.

Atmospheric-pressure(AP)plasma etching provides an alternative method for mechanical grinding to realize wafer thinning of Si *** can avoid the damages and micro-cracks that would be introduced by mechanical stress during the grinding *** this study,the material removal characteristics of Si(100)wafer processed by linear field AP plasma generated using carbon tetrafluoride(CF4)as the reactive source were *** linear field plasma etching tool has a typical removal profile and the depth removal rate that can reach up to 1.082μm/*** effect ofO2 concentration on the removal ratewas discussed and the surfacemorphology during the process was characterized using scanning electron *** is shown that the subsurface damage layer was gradually removed during the etching process and the surface was observed to be smoothened with the increase of the etching *** present work contributes a basic understanding of the linear field AP plasma etching performance with different gas composition and the typical characteristics would be further applied to damage-free precision removal of Si.
