Changes in Soil Physicochemical Properties Following Land Use Change from Paddy Fields to Greenhouse and Upland Fields in the Southeastern Basin of Dianchi Lake,Yunnan Province,China

Paddy fields in the southeastern basin of Dianchi Lake have rapidly changed to greenhouses since 1999. A total of 61 surface soil samples, including 43 greenhouse soils, 12 upland soils, and 6 paddy soils, were collected from a flat lowland area mainly used for agricultural production fields in the southeastern basin of Dianchi Lake. Analyses of the soil samples indicated that the greenhouse soils were characterized by a lower organic matter content, lower pH, and higher soluble nutrients than the paddy soils in the area. the lower organic matter content of the greenhouse soils was ascribed to environmental or management factors rather than the clay content of the soil. Accumulation of soluble nutrients, especially inorganic n, was due to over-application of fertilizers, which also caused soil acidification. the average amount of readily available n, P, and K accumulated in the greenhouse soils was estimated to be equal to or higher than the annual input of these nutrients as a fertilizer, indicating that a reduction in fertilizer application was possible and recommended. In contrast, a very low available Si content was observed in the paddy soils, suggesting the need for Si application for rice production.

In patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) the prevalence of thrombosis is 6.2%, the average incidence of thromboembolism (tE) is 3.6 times higher compared to normal population. the tE is a common extraintestinal complication of IBD, squarely associated with the IBD activity. the application of antico-agulant and thrombolytic therapy in severe IBD is an unresolved issue. Herein we report the first case in literature of an active IBD patient with an upper limb acute arterial occlusion and successful catheter-directed thrombolysis (CDt). A 46-year-old male patient is reported who had Crohn's disease for 10 years. His right hand suddenly became cold and painful. Angiography proved acute occlusion of the brachial and radial artery. Vascular surgery intervention was not applicable. Endoscopy showed extended, severe inflammation of the colon. Despite the severe endoscopic findings, frequent bloody stools and moderate anaemia, CDt with recombinant tissue plasminogen activator was performed. the control angiography proved improvement, the radial artery pulse appeared. no bleeding complication was observed. this case supports that CDt-after careful estimation of the bleeding risk-can be effective and safe in patients with severe or life-threatening tE and active IBD.

Structural Basis for Complementary and Alternative Medicine:Phytochemical Interaction with non-Structural Protein 2 Protease-A Reverse Engineering Strategy

Objective： to understand the druggability of the bioactive compounds from traditional herbal formulations ＂nilavembu Kudineer＂ and ＂Swasthya Raksha Amruta Peya＂ to heal chikungunya virus （CHIKV） infection. Methods： the efficiency of twenty novel chemical entities from ＂nilavembu Kudineer＂ and ＂Swasthya Raksha Amruta Peya＂ to inhibit CHIKV infection in silico were evaluated. Ligands were prepared using Ligprep module of Schr0dinger. Active site was identified using SiteMap program. Grid box was generated using receptor grid generation wizard. Molecular docking was carried out using Grid Based Ligand Docking with Energetics （GLIDE） program. Results： Molecular docking studies showed that among twenty compounds, andrographoside, deoxyandrographoside, neoandrographolide, 14-deoxy-11-oxoandrographolide, butoxone and oleanolic acid showed GLIDE extra precision （XP） score of-9.10,-8.72, -8.25,-7.38,-7.28 and -7.01, respectively which were greater than or comparable with chloroquine （reference compound） XP score （-7.08） and were found to interact with the key residues GLLI 1043, LYS 1045, GLY 1176, LEU 1203, HIS 1222 and LYS 1239 which were characteristic functional unit crucial for replication of CHIKV. Conclusion： the binding affinity and the binding mode of chemical entities taken from herbal formulations with non-structural protein 2 protease were understood and our study provided a novel strategy in the development and design of drugs for CHIKV infection.

Exploring, manipulating, and understanding new exotic quantum phenomena in condensed-matter systems have gen- erated great interest in the scientific community. Static and time resolved optical spectroscopies after photoexcitations are important experimental tools for probing charge dynamics and quasiparticle excitations in quantum materials. In Syner- getic Extreme Condition User Facility （SECUF）, we shall construct magneto-infrared and terahertz measurement systems and develop a number of ultrafast femtosecond laser based systems, including intense near to mid-infrared pump terahertz probe. In this article, we shall describe several systems to be constructed and developed in the facilities, then present some examples explaining the application of magneto optics and time resolved spectroscopy techniques.

the practice of integrating images from two or more sensors collected from the same area or object is known as image *** goal is to extract more spatial and spectral information from the resulting fused image than from the component *** images must be fused to improve the spatial and spectral quality of both panchromatic and multispectral *** study provides a novel picture fusion technique that employs L0 smoothening Filter,non-subsampled Contour let transform(nSCt)and Sparse Representation(SR)followed by the Max absolute rule(MAR).the fusion approach is as follows:first,the multispectral and panchromatic images are divided into lower and higher frequency components using the L0 smoothing *** comes the fusion process,which uses an approach that combines nSCt and SR to fuse low frequency ***,the Max-absolute fusion rule is used to merge high frequency ***,the final image is obtained through the disintegration of fused low and high frequency *** terms of correlation coefficient,Entropy,spatial frequency,and fusion mutual information,our method outperforms other methods in terms of image quality enhancement and visual evaluation.

this paper proposes new sufficient conditions for the exponential stability and *** linear uncertain polytopic time-delay systems. the conditions for exponential stability are expressed in terms of Kharitonov-type linear matrix inequalities （LMIs） and we develop control design methods based on LMIs for solving stabilization problem. Our method consists of a combination of the LMI approach and the use of parameter-dependent Lyapunov functionals, which allows to compute simultaneously the two bounds that characterize the exponetial stability rate of the solution. numerical examples illustrating the conditions are given.

On the basis of results from conventional elemental analyses and a unique technique (FAMM? fluorescence alteration of multiple macerals), using a laser fluorescence microprobe, the fluorescence characteristics of various macerals are systematically related to hydrogen content. the amount of fluorescence from inertinite and vitrinite exponentially increases with H/C values. Although liptinite has high fluorescence and high H/C values, the relationship does not follow the same trend as defined for the other maceral groups. Because petroleum yields of a maceral mainly depend upon hydrogen richness, a correlation also exists between fluorescence, and gas to oil ratios from pyrolysis. Because individual organic entities are measured, the laser fluorescence microprobe has the benefit of accommodating heterogeneous organic matter in source rocks and enables determination of oil and gas yields of specific macerals.

this paper presents a high-order coupled compact integrated RBF(CC IRBF)approximation based domain decomposition(DD)algorithm for the discretisation of second-order differential *** Schwarz DD algorithms,including one-level additive/multiplicative and two-level additive/multiplicative/hybrid,are *** CCIRBF based DD algorithms are analysed with different mesh sizes,numbers of subdomains and overlap sizes for Poisson *** convergence analysis shows that the CCIRBF two-level multiplicative version is the most effective algorithm among various schemes employed ***,the present CCIRBF two-level method converges quite rapidly even when the domain is divided into many subdomains,which shows great promise for either serial or parallel *** practical tests,we then incorporate the CCIRBF into serial and parallel two-level multiplicative *** numerical examples,including those governed by Poisson and navier-Stokes equations are analysed to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the serial and parallel algorithms implemented with the *** results show:(i)the CCIRBF-Serial and-Parallel algorithms have the capability to reach almost the same solution accuracy level of the CCIRBF-Single domain,which is ideal in terms of computational calculations;(ii)the CCIRBF-Serial and-Parallel algorithms are highly accurate in comparison with standard finite difference,compact finite difference and some other schemes;(iii)the proposed CCIRBF-Serial and-Parallel algorithms may be used as alternatives to solve large-size problems which the CCIRBF-Single domain may not be able to deal *** ability of producing stable and highly accurate results of the proposed serial and parallel schemes is believed to be the contribution of the coarse mesh of the two-level domain decomposition and the CCIRBF *** is noted that the focus of this paper is on the derivation of highly accurate serial and parallel algorithms
