Conventionally synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNP) imposed an alarming effect on the environment and caused toxicity to humans. However, the use of zeolite (zeoY) as a support system could increase its biocompatibility and reduce its toxicity. Hence, green synthesis of AgNP using Persicaria odorata leaves extract supported on zeolite Y has been prepared by an in situ synthesis technique. the phytochemical compounds in the optimized leaf extract concentration of 1% and volume of 0.9 mL reduced the silver ions to AgNP within the zeolite Y pores. Morphological observation revealed the incorporation of AgNP in the zeolite Y (average size: 18.51 nm). the release of AgNP exhibited antibacterial activity on C. acnes at a concentration lower than 1 g L -1 which is also dependent on the electrolyte. AgNP-zeoY promoted cell proliferation in vitro and it has a non -irritating effect when tested in the in vivo skin irritation model. the levered-dual response(LEDAR)Coulomb-damped system attains near resonant vibration isolation by differential preloads/offsets in linear *** takes the advantages of both the preloads/offsets in linear springs and the guiderail friction for realizing different levels of vibration *** isolation capacities are investigated on the strategies with both the horizontal and vertical guiderails,with the horizontal rail only,and without *** compressive preloads generally result in the consumption of most of the initial excitation energy so as to overcome the potential *** isolation onsets at the frequency ratio of 1∓0.095 on the left-hand side(LHS)and the right-hand side(RHS)of the lever are relative to the load plate *** observed near resonant isolation thus makes the LEDAR system a candidate for the isolation of the mechanical systems about resonance while opening a path for simultaneous harvesterisolation functions and passive functions at extreme frequencies.

this study has isolated,characterized,and identified potential plant growthpromoting rhizobacteria(PGPR)with multiple PGP characteristics(N_(2)-fixation,P-and K-solubilization,iAA,and siderophores production)from the rhizosphere BRiS soil of Acacia mangium.A total of 24 pure colonies were isolated and only 8 colonies were selected for further evaluation of the growth rate in 5%organic molasses medium supplemented with 2%KNO_(3).Based on the biochemical,potential PGP characteristics and growth performance,3 superior PGPR strains were selected and identified as Paraburkholderia unamae(UA1),Bacillus amyloliquefaciens(UA6),and Enterobacter asburiae(UAA2)by partial sequencing of the 16S rRNA *** selected bacterial strains either in single or mixed(UA1+UA6+􀀁UAA2)cultures have shown a significant biochemical estimation of the PGP *** strain has its own PGPR traits superiority with UA1 showing the best PGP characteristic followed by UA6 and *** use of mixed bacterial strains was beneficial as it showed the best performance in N_(2)-fixation,siderophores production,and significant effect on corn phenology,growth and yield compared to using a single *** types of microbes showed potential to be used as biofertilizer and should be exploited more.

the scientific community faces the challenge of measuring progress toward biodiversity targets and indices have been traditionally ***,recent inventories in secondary tropical mountain forests using traditional biodiversity indices have yielded results that are indistinct with primary *** shows the need to develop complementary indices that goes beyond species count but integrates the distribution and conservation status of the *** study developed endemicity and conservation importance index for tropical forest that incorporated the distribution and conservation status of the *** indices were applied to ***,a remnant primary mossy forest in Buguias,Benguet,Philippines,that resulted to endemicity index of 81.07 and conservation importance index of *** these with secondary forest sites with comparable Shannon-Wiener,Simpson,Evenness and Margalef’s indices,our endemicity and conservation indices clearly differentiates primary forest(our study site)with higher values from secondary forests with much lower ***,we are proposing these indices for a direct but scientifically-informed identification of specific sites for conservation and protection in tropical ***,our study documented a total of 168 vascular plant species(79 endemic and 12 locally threatened species)in *** are of tropical elements for both generic and species levels with some temperate elements that could be attributed to the site's high elevation and semi-temperate *** are important baseline information for conservation plans and monitoring of tropical mossy forests.

the aim of this research was to examine the effects of dietary inclusion of astaxanthin from Haematococcus pluvialis in commercial fish feed on the colour and growth of red tilapia,Oreochromis sp..A 6-week feeding trial was conducted at concentration of astaxanthin at 0%(t1),4%(t2),8%(t3)and 12%(t4)in feed formulation to examine the growth performance,colour pigmentation on skin,texture analysis and carotenoid *** showed an increment of certain growth parameter in fish fed with astaxanthin enriched *** in weight gain(WG),protein efficiency ratio(PER)was obtained in fish fed with astaxanthin enriched compared with *** treatments with astaxanthin-enriched provided higher redness(a*)to skin than negative control that directly influence the colour of the *** can be concluded that inclusion of astaxanthin from green algae into commercial fish feed can be used as an alternative natural carotenoid source in Oreochromis *** to ensure good pigmentation,hence improving the skin colour for more appealing and subsequently increase the market value of the fish.
