the complete quantitative essential amino acid(EAA)requirements of aquacultured animals are largely unknown except for a handful of *** is problematic because formulation of least-cost diets for target animals demands precise knowledge of EAA *** way of approximating EAA requirements is to use correlations between whole-body and/or muscle EAA profiles using essential to total EAA ratios(A/E ratios).this method requires a reference,quantified EAA requirement,usually lysine(Lys).to systematically evaluate the A/E ratio method,muscle AA profiles were measured in 10 species of teleost and whiteleg *** fish,Lys represented the dominant muscle EAA measured,ranging between 7.06 and 9.58 g/100 g protein,whereas,in shrimp,arginine(Arg)was quantified as the principal *** non-EAA,glutamate(Glu)and glutamine were consistently the NEAA recorded at highest levels whereas,in shrimp,Glu+Gln was highest followed by aspartate(Asp)plus asparagine(Asn).Except for Arg,which was twice that of fish(Pteleg shrimp expressed similar muscle A/E *** of relationship between muscle EAA levels and known requirements were all strongly and positively correlated for non-salmonid *** using Lys as the reference EAA there were few semblances between measured and estimated EAA requirements.

this study examines the track and intensity forecasts of two typical Bay of Bengal tropical cyclones(tC)ASANI and *** analysis of various Numerical Weather Prediction(NWP)model forecasts[ECmWF(European Centre for medium range Weather Forecast),NCEP(National Centers for Environmental Prediction),NCUm(National Centre for medium Range Weather Forecast-Uniﬁed model),ImD(India meteorological Department),HWRF(Hurricane Weather Research and Forecasting)],mmE(multi-model Ensemble),SCIP(Statistical Cyclone Intensity Prediction)model,and OFCL(Ofﬁcial)forecasts shows that intensity forecasts of ASANI and track forecasts of mOCHA were reasonably good,but there were large errors and wide variation in track forecasts of ASANI and in intensity forecasts of *** all model forecasts,the track forecast errors of ImD model and mmE were least in general for ASANI and mOCHA ***,the landfall point forecast errors of ImD were least for ASANI,and the mmE and OFCL forecast errors were least for *** model is found to be consistently better for landfall time forecast for ASANI,and the errors of ECmWF,ImD and HWRF were least and of same order for *** intensity forecast errors of OFCL and SCIP were least for ASANI,and the forecast errors of HWRF,ImD,NCEP,SCIP and OFCL were comparable and least for mOCHA up to 48 h forecast and HWRF errors were least thereafter in *** ECmWF model forecast errors for intensity were found to be highest for both the *** results also show that although there is signiﬁcant improvement of track forecasts and limited or no improvement of intensity forecast in previous decades but challenges still persists in real time forecasting of both track and intensity due to wide variation and inconsistency of model forecasts for different tC cases.

the Kortewegde Vries(KdV)equation represents the propagation of long waves in dispersive media,whereas the cubic nonlinear Schrödinger(CNLS)equation depicts the dynamics of narrow-bandwidth wave packets consisting of short dispersive waves.A model that couples these two equations seems in-triguing for simulating the interaction of long and short waves,which is important in many domains of applied sciences and engineering,and such a system has been investigated in recent *** work uses a modified Sardar sub-equation procedure to secure the soliton-type solutions of the generalized cubic nonlinear Schrödinger-Korteweg-de Vries system of *** various selections of arbitrary parameters in these solutions,the dynamic properties of some acquired solutions are represented graph-ically and *** particular,the dynamics of the bright solitons,dark solitons,mixed bright-dark solitons,W-shaped solitons,m-shaped solitons,periodic waves,and other soliton-type *** re-sults demonstrated that the proposed technique is highly efficient and effective for the aforementioned problems,as well as other nonlinear problems that may arise in the fields of mathematical physics and engineering.

tight focusing with very small f-numbers is necessary to achieve the highest at-focus ***,tight focusing imposes strong demands on precise target positioning in-focus to achieve the highest on-target irradiance We describe several near-infrared,visible,ultraviolet and soft and hard X-ray diagnostics employed in a~10^(22)W/cm^(2)laser±plasma *** used nearly 10 J total energy femtosecond laser pulses focused into an approximately1.3-μm focal spot on 5±20μm thick stainless-steel *** discuss the applicability of these diagnostics to determine the best in-focus target position with approximately 5μm accuracy(i.e.,around half of the short Rayleigh length)and show that several diagnostics(in particular,3ωreflection and on-axis hard X-rays)can ensure this *** demonstrated target positioning within several micrometers from the focus,ensuring over 80%of the ideal peak laser intensity *** approach is relatively fast(it requires 10±20 laser shots)and does not rely on the coincidence of low-power and high-power focal planes.

Despite the engineering potential by the co-existence of inorganic and organic substances to protect vulnerable metallic materials from corrosive environments,both their interaction and in-situ formation mechanism to induce the nature-inspired composite remained less *** present work used three distinctive mercaptobenzazole(mB)compounds working as corrosion inhibitors,such as 2-mercaptobenzoxazole(mBO),2-mercaptobenzothiazole(mBt),and 2-mercaptobenzimidazole(mBI)in a bid to understand how the geometrical structure arising from O,S,and N atoms affected the interaction toward inorganic *** compounds that were used here to control the corrosion kinetics would be interacted readily with the pre-existing mgO layer fabricated by plasma *** phenomenon triggered the nucleation of the root network since mB compounds were seen to be adsorbed actively on the defective surface through the active sites in mB ***,the molecule with twin donor atoms adjacent to the mercapto-sites affected the facile growth of the grass-like structures with‘uniform’distribution via molecular self-assembly,which showed better corrosion performance than those with having dissimilar donor atoms with the inhibition efficiency(η)of 97%*** formation mechanism underlying nucleation and growth behavior of mB molecule was discussed concerning the theoretical calculation of density functional theory.

the global obesity pandemic has resulted in a rise in the prevalence of male obesity-related secondary hypogonadism(mOSH)with emerging evidence on the role of testosterone *** aim to provide an updated and practical approach towards its *** did a comprehensive literature search across mEDLINE(via Pubmed),Scopus,and Google Scholar databases using the keywords“mOSH”OR“Obesity-related hypogonadism”OR“testosterone replacement therapy”OR“Selective estrogen receptor modulator”OR“SERm”OR“Guidelines on male hypogonadism”as well as a manual search of references within the articles.A narrative review based on available evidence,recommendations and their practical implications was *** weight loss is the ideal therapeutic strategy for patients with mOSH,achievement of significant weight reduction is usually difficult with lifestyle changes alone in real-world ***,androgen administration is often necessary in the management of hypogonadism in patients with mOSH which also improves many other comorbidities related to ***,there is conflicting evidence for the appropriate use of testosterone replacement therapy(tRt),and it can also be associated with *** evidence-based review updates the available evidence including the very recently published results of the tRAVERSE trial and provides comprehensive clinical practice pearls for the management of patients with *** starting testosterone replacement in functional hypogonadism of obesity,it would be desirable to initiate lifestyle modification to ensure weight *** should be coupled with the management of other comorbidities related to obesity in mOSH *** the risks and benefits of tRt should be considered in every patient before and during longterm management.

Artificial intelligence(AI)as a multi-purpose technology is gaining increased attention and is now widely used across all sectors of the *** growing complexity of planning and operating power systems makes AI extremely valuable for the power *** now,there has been a lack of clarity regarding the specific points along the power system supply chain where AI applications demonstrate significant value,as well as which AI domains are best suited for such *** study employs an AI taxonomy and automated web search to qualitatively and quantitatively unveil the biggest potentials of AI in the power *** analysis,based on a review of 258’919 publications between 1982 and 2022,reveals where AI applications are particularly *** consider six AI domains(reasoning,planning,learning,communication,perception,integration&interaction)and 19 use cases from the power supply chain(i.e.,generation,transmission networks,distribution networks,isolated grids/microgrids,market operations and retail).Our findings indicate that,as of now,the focus is predominantly on AI applications in power retail(55%),transmission(14%)and generation(13%).most analyzed works describe applications built on algorithms of the AI domains“learning”(45%)and“planning”(14%).Results also suggest that the current definition of AI domains is ambiguous,and they highlight missing information on the actual use and successful implementation of AI in power system use cases.

Evaluation of a hepatic biomarker of nutritional imbalance in juvenile red drum(Sciaenops ocellatus) fed 60% soybean meal-based diets using NmR-based metabolomics

A 12-week feeding trial with juvenile red drum(Sciaenops ocellatus) fed high-soybean meal(SBm) diets was conducted to investigate a putative biomarker of nutritional imbalance, N-formimino-L-glutamate(FIGLU). three fishmeal-free, 60% SBm pelleted diets(named B12, Fol, and met, respectively) were tested to evaluate the effects on growth performance and tissue metabolite profiles of supplementation of vitamin B12(0.012 mg/kg), folate(10 mg/kg), methionine(1 g/kg) respectively, above basal supplementation levels. A fourth SBm-based diet(named B12/Fol/met) was formulated with a combination of B12, folate, and methionine to attain the above-mentioned target concentrations. A fifth 60% SBm diet(named FWS) with methionine supplementation(1 g/kg above basal supplementation levels), enriched with taurine, lysine and threonine as well as minerals, was also tested. this diet contained formulation targets and additives which have allowed for replacing fishmeal with plant proteins in rainbow trout feeds. Control diets included a fishmeal-based diet(named Fm), an unsupplemented basal 60% SBm diet(named SBm60), and a “natural” diet(named N) made up of equal parts of fish(cigar minnows), squid and shrimp as a positive reference for growth performance. Formulated feeds contained approximately 37% total crude protein, approximately 14% total crude lipid and were energetically balanced. Standard growth performance metrics were measured, and tissues(liver, muscle) were collected at week 12 to evaluate diet-induced metabolic changes using nuclear magnetic resonance(NmR)-based *** results show that the FWS diet outperformed all other SBm diets and the Fm diet under all performance metrics(Pt detected in fish fed the N diet but was detected in those fed the SBm diets and the Fm diet.
