An Elasto-plastic Contact Solving Method for two Spheres

the traditional Hertz contact theory has been widely used in solving contact ***,it is only applicable to the elastic contact,and cannot truly reflect the contact stress distribution and contact radius in the elasto-plastic *** this work,based on the Hertz contact theory,a fast solving method is proposed to calculate the contact stress distribution and contact radius in the elasto-plastic contact between two *** is assumed that the elastic contact only occurs at the outer edge of contact patch and its contact stress distribution satisfies the Hertz contact theory,and the contact stress distribution at the inner edge of contact patch can be superimposed by a constant contact stress and several small ellipsoidal contact stress ***,based on the equivalent relation between the resultant force of contact stress and the normal external load,the contact radius in the elasto-plastic contact can be ***,an elasto-plastic contact example of two spheres is given based on the power-law hardening material model,and the influences of material parameters,contact radii and normal external loads on the accuracy of the proposed method are discussed by comparing the differences between the numerical results by finite element method and the predicted ones by the proposed *** is shown that the proposed method can accurately calculate the maximum contact stress and contact radius in the elasto-plastic contact,and the relative errors of both maximum contact stress and contact radius are within±5%.to sum up,the proposed fast solving method can be applied to perform the elasto-plastic contact analysis in engineering practice.

Early Paleozoic granitic magmatism related to the processes from subduction to collision in South Altyn, NW China

Four episodes of granitic rocks at 517, 501-496, 462-451, and 426-385 Ma occurred in the South Altyn subduction-collision complex. the first episode of granite emplacement predates the formation of the ophiolite type mafic rock （〉500 Ma）, and the three subsequent episodes can be temporally correlated to high-pressure （HP） to ultrahigh-pressure （UHP） metamorphism at ca 500 Ma, retrograde granulite-facies metamorphism at ca. 450 Ma, and amphibolite-facies metamorphism at ca. 420 Ma, re- spectively. A comprehensive study of these granitic rocks, along with the regional geological background, mafic-ultramafic rocks, and HP-UHP metamorphism, indicates that the four episodes of granitic magmatism are sequentially derived from the partial melting of the earlier subducted oceanic crust at 517 Ma, the thickened continental crust due to continental subduction at ca. 500 Ma, the mid-upper crust in response to slab breakoff at ca. 450 Ma, and the tectonic transition from contraction to extension at ca. 420 Ma. the formation age of 517 Ma for oceanic adakite provides a direct constraint on the time of the oce- anic subduction in South Altyn. In addition, there is a ca. i0 Myr interval between the oceanic subduction to the continental deep subduction, suggesting that the Early Paleozoic tectonic evolution might have been a successive process in South Altyn. the four episodes of formation of granitic rocks, mafic-ultramafic rocks, and HP-UHP metamorphic rocks have fully recorded the tectonic evolution, beginning with the oceanic subduction, followed by continental subduction, and later exhumation dur- ing the Early Paleozoic in South Altyn.

PhaseⅠstudy of chlorogenic acid injection for recurrent high-grade glioma with long-term follow-up

Objective:this study was aimed at analyzing the efficacy and safety of an injectable form of chlorogenic acid(CGA)in patients with recurrent high-grade glioma after standard of care treatments,through a first-in-human,open-label,dose-escalation phase I ***:A total of 26 eligible patients were enrolled,received intramuscular CGA injections at 5 dose levels,and were followed up for 5 *** was well tolerated,and the maximum tolerated dose was 5.5 mg/***:the most common treatment-related adverse events occurred at the sites of *** grade 3 or 4 adverse events(e.g.,drug allergy)were reported for these patients except for induration at the injection sites.A clinical pharmacokinetic study showed that CGA was rapidly eliminated from the plasma,with a t_(1/2)of 0.95–1.27 h on day 1 and 1.19–1.39 h on day 30,and no detectable CGA was observed on days 9,11,13,23,25,27,and 29 before CGA *** the first treatment cycle,52.2%of patients(12 of 23)achieved stable ***-term follow-up indicated an estimated median overall survival of 11.3 months for all 23 evaluable *** the 18 patients with grade 3 glioma,the median overall survival was 9.5 *** patients remained alive at the cutoff ***:this phase I study demonstrated that CGA has a favorable safety profile(with no severe toxicity),and provides preliminary clinical benefits for patients with high grade glioma relapsing after prior standard therapies,thus shedding light on the potential clinical application of CGA for recurrent grade 4 glioma.

Several therapeutic options are used for treatment of early stage glottic carcinoma(tis/tl/t2):open partial laryngectomy(OPL),radiotherapy and C02 laser-assisted endoscopic *** surgery has gradually gained approval in the management of laryngeal *** the basis of recent analysis the t2 Stage grouping be subdivided into Stage t2a for those with normal cord mobility and t2b for those with impaired cord *** present our experience in micro laser surgery for early stage t2a glottic *** laryngeal exposure,anterior commissure involvement,invasion of the posterior paraglottic space with arytenoid fixation,massive infiltration of the preepiglottic space,and even minor thyroid cartilage erosion(t3)represent the most controversial applications of tLM in management of glottic and supraglottic ***,published oncological results appear to be satisfactory when tLM is applied to t2a glottic cancers with favourable *** should be used for more advanced *** series patients who had t2a glottic carcinomas with normal vocal cord movement had good oncological results in 1 to 3 years survival rate and local control rate.

Effect of Bismuth on Intermetallic Compound Growth in Lead Free Solder/Cu Microelectronic Interconnect

the intermetallic compound （IMC） growth kinetics in pure Sn/Cu and Sn10 wt%Bi/Cu solder joints was studied, respectively, after they were aged at 160-210℃ for different time. It was found that the total IMC in Sn10 wt%Bi/Cu joint developed faster than it did in pure Sn/Cu solder joint, when they were aged at the same temperature. And the activation energy Qa for total IMC in Sn10 wt%Bi/Cu joint was lower than that for pure Sn/Cu interconnect. the IMC growth process was discussed. the IMC Cu6Sn5 was enhanced in compensation of reduced IMC Cu3Sn growth. the work reveals that Bi element containing in lead free solder alloys with 10 wt% can enhance IMC growth in lead free solder/Cu joint during service.

Spatially resolved transcriptomics(SRt)is capable of comprehensively characterizing gene expression patterns and providing an unbiased image of spatial *** fully understand the organizational complexity and tumor immune escape mechanism,we propose stMGAtF,a multiview graph attention fusion model that integrates gene expression,histological images,spatial location,and gene *** better extract information,stMGAtF exploits SimCLRv2 for visual feature exaction and employs edge feature enhanced graph attention networks for the learning potential embedding of each view.A global attention mechanism is used to adaptively integrate 3 views to obtain low-dimensional *** to diverse SRt datasets,stMGAtF is robust and outperforms other methods in detecting spatial domains and denoising data even with different resolutions and *** particular,stMGAtF contributes to the elucidation of tissue heterogeneity and extraction of 3-dimensional expression ***,considering the associations between genes in tumors,stMGAtF can identify the spatial dark genes ignored by traditional methods,which can be used to predict tumor-driving transcription factors and reveal tumor immune escape mechanisms,providing theoretical evidence for the development of new immunotherapeutic strategies.

Behaviors of thermalization for the Fermi–Pasta–Ulam–tsingou system with small number of particles

We study the behaviors of thermalization in Fermi–Pasta–Ulam–tsingou(FPUt) system with small number of particles using periodic boundary conditions. the total energy has initially equidistributed among some of the lowest frequency modes. the thermalization time t_(eq) depending on system's energy density ε scales as t_(eq) ∝ε^(-4) only within a certain range of nonlinearity. In this range of nonlinearity, energies can interchange between the initial excited modes and other modes continuously with time until reaching the thermalized state. With a further decreasing nonlinearity, a steeper growth than ε^(-4) will appear. In the very weakly nonlinear regime, energies on low frequency modes are found to be frozen on large time scales. Redistribution of mode energies happens through the resonances of high frequency modes.

A fast-response self-powered UV–Vis–NIR broadband photodetector based on a AgIn_(5)Se_(8)/t-Se heterojunction

A type Ⅱ p–n heterojunction could improve the photodetection performance of a photodetector due to the excellent ability of carrier separation. N-type AgIn_(5)Se_(8)(AIS) exhibits a large optical absorption coefficient, high optical conductivity and a suitable bandgap, and shows potential application in broadband photodetection. Even though our previous study on AgIn_(5)Se_(8)/FePSe_(3)obtained a good response speed, it still gave low responsivity due to the poor quality of the p-type FePSe_(3)thin film. Se, with a direct bandgap(around 1.7 eV), p-type conductivity, high electron mobility and high carrier density,is likely to form a low-dimensional structure, which leads to an increase in the effective contact area of the heterojunction and further improves the photodetector performance. In this work, continuous and dense t-Se thin film was prepared by electrochemical deposition. the self-powered AgIn5Se8/t-Se heterojunction photodetector exhibited a broadband detection range from 365 nm to 1200 nm. the responsivity and detectivity of the heterojunction photodetector were 32 μA/W and 1.8×109Jones, respectively, which are around 9 and 4 times higher than those of the AgIn_(5)Se_(8)/FePSe_(3)heterojunction photodetector. the main reason for this is the good quality of the t-Se thin film and the formation of the low-dimensional t-Se nanoribbons, which optimized the transport pathway of carriers. the results indicate that the AgIn_(5)Se_(8)/t-Se heterojunction is an excellent candidate for broadband and self-powered photoelectronic devices.

Cellular and molecular mechanisms of perineural invasion of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)is an aggressive malignant disease with a unique tumor microenvironment surrounded by an interlaced network of cancer and noncancerous *** works have revealed that the dynamic interaction between cancer cells and neuronal cells leads to perineural invasion(PNI),a clinical pathological feature of *** formation and function of PNI are dually regulated by molecular(e.g.,involving neurotrophins,cytokines,chemokines,and neurotransmitters),metabolic(e.g.,serine metabolism),and cellular mechanisms(e.g.,involving Schwann cells,stromal cells,t cells,and macrophages).Such integrated mechanisms of PNI not only support tumor development,growth,invasion,and metastasis but also mediate the formation of pain,all of which are closely related to poor disease prognosis in *** review details the modulation,signaling pathways,detection,and clinical relevance of PNI and highlights the opportunities for further exploration that may benefit PDAC patients.

In a recent paper published in Nature,Gate et *** adaptive immune changes in Alzheimer’s disease(AD),discovered CD8+t effector memory CD45RA+(tEMRA)cells with proinflammatory and cytotoxic functions in AD patients,and identified two tEMRA cell-recognized antigens of human herpesvirus 4(HHV-4),also known as Epstein–Barr virus(EBV).1 the findings suggested that adaptive immunity might have a role in AD progression.
