Recently,Internet of Medical things(IoMt)has gained considerable attention to provide improved healthcare services to *** earlier diag-nosis of brain tumor(Bt)using medical imaging becomes an essential task,auto-mated IoMt and cloud enabled Bt diagnosis model can be devised using recent deep learning *** this motivation,this paper introduces a novel IoMt and cloud enabled Bt diagnosis model,named *** IoMtC-HDBt model comprises the data acquisition process by the use of IoMt devices which captures the magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)brain images and transmit them to the cloud ***,adaptive windowﬁltering(AWF)based image preprocessing is used to remove *** addition,the cloud server executes the disease diagnosis model which includes the sparrow search algorithm(SSA)with GoogleNet(SSA-GN)*** IoMtC-HDBt model applies functional link neural network(FLNN),which has the ability to detect and classify the MRI brain images as normal or ***ﬁnds useful to generate the reports instantly for patients located in remote *** validation of the IoMtC-HDBt model takes place against BRAtS2015 Challenge dataset and the experimental analysis is car-ried out interms of sensitivity,accuracy,and speciﬁ*** experimentation out-come pointed out the betterment of the proposed model with the accuracy of 0.984.

the present paper presents an experimental and numerical investigation of the dispersion of the gaseous jet flow and co-flow for the simple unit cell(SUC)and body-centred cubic(BCC)configuration of particles in packed *** experimental setup is built in such a way that suitable and simplified boundary conditions are imposed for the corresponding numerical framework,so the simulations can be done under very similar conditions as the ***,a porous plate is used for the co-flow to achieve the uniform velocity and the fully developed flow is ensured for the jet *** SUC and BCC particle beds consist of 3D-printed spheres,and the non-isotropy near the walls is mostly eliminated by placing half-spheres at the channel *** flow velocities are analysed directly at the exit of the particle bed for both beds over 36 pores for the SUC configuration and 60 pores for the BCC configuration,for particle Reynolds numbers of 200,300,and *** particle image velocimetry is experimentally arranged in such a way that the velocities over the entire region at the exit of the packed bed are obtained *** numerical method consists of a state-of-the-art immersed boundary method with adaptive mesh *** paper presents the pore jet structure and velocity field exiting from each pore for the SUC and BCC packed particle *** numerical and experimental studies show a good agreement for the SUC configuration for all flow *** the BCC configuration,some differences can be observed in the pore jet flow structure between the simulations and the experiments,but the general flow velocity distribution shows a good overall *** axial velocity is generally higher for the pores located near the centre of the packed bed than for the pores near the *** addition,the axial velocities are observed to increase near the peripheral pores of the packed *** behaviour is predominant for the BCC configuration as compared to t

Dynamics of a Rotating Sphere on Free Surface of Vibrated Granular Materials

We investigate the rotational dynamics of a low-density sphere on the free surface of a vertically vibrated granular material（VGM）. the dynamical behavior of the sphere is influenced by the external energy input from an electromagnetic shaker which is proportional to ε,where ε is equal to the ratio between the square of the dimensionless acceleration Γ and the square of the vibration frequency f of the container. Empirical results reveal that as the VGM transits from local-to-global convection,an increase in ε generally corresponds to an increase in the magnitudes of the rotational ω（RS） and translational v（CM） velocities of the sphere, an increase in the observed tilting angle θ（bed） of the VGM bed, and a decrease in the time t（wall） it takes the sphere to roll down the tilted VGM bed and hit the container wall. During unstable convection, an increase in ε results in a sharp decrease in the sphere＇s peak and mean ω（RS）,and a slight increase in t（wall）.For the range of ε values covered in this study, the sphere may execute persistent rotation, wobbling or jamming, depending on the vibration parameters and the resulting convective flow in the system.

Electromyographic and Mechanomyographic Responses During Isokinetic Leg Extensions in Children Versus Adolescents

Purpose the purpose of this study was to examine peak torque(Pt),mean power(MP),electromyographic(EMG)amplitude,mechanomyographic(MMG)amplitude,and neuromuscular efficiency from EMG and MMG amplitude(NME_(EMG)and NME_(MMG),respectively)across the velocity spectrum in children versus *** Seventeen children(n=8 males,n=9 females)and 22 adolescents(n=11 males,n=11 females)*** completed maximal concentric isokinetic leg extensions at 60,120,180,240 and 300°/***,MP,EMG amplitude,and MMG amplitude were quantified during all muscle ***_(EMG)and NME_(MMG)were quantified by expressing Pt relative to EMG and MMG amplitude,respectively,for each muscle *** Pt,MP,NME_(EMG),and NME_(MMG)were greater for the adolescents than the children collapsed across sex and veloc-ity(P≤0.021).there were no significant differences for EMG amplitude(P≥0.051),while MMG amplitude increased significantly from 60 to 240°/s(Pthen decreased significantly from 240 to 300°/s(Pty,the expression of Pt relative to EMG and MMG amplitude(NME_(EMG)and NME_(MMG),respectively),in conjunction with measurements of torque and power production,may provide practitioners a unique method of examining growth and development-related augmentations in neuromuscular function during dynamic movements.

Hybridization and the species problem in conservation

Most biologists recognize the ＂species phenomenon＂ as a real pattern in nature： Biodiversity is characterized by dis- continuities between recognizable groups classified as species. Many conservation laws focus on preventing species extinction. However, species are not fixed. Discontinuities evolve gradually and sometimes disappear. Exactly how to define particular spe- cies is not always obvious. Hybridization between taxonomic species reminds us that species classification is not a perfect repre- sentation of nature. Classification is a model that is very useful, but not adequate in all cases. Conservationists often confront questions about how to apply species-based laws when hybridization confounds classification. Development of sophisticated techniques and nuanced interpretation of data in the basic study of species and speciation has exposed the need for deeper educa- tion in genetics and evolution for applied conservationists and decision makers. Here we offer a brief perspective on hybridiza- tion and the species problem in conservation. Our intended audience is conservation practitioners and decision-makers more than geneticists and evolutionary biologists. We wish to emphasize that the goals and premises of legislative classification are not identical to those of scientific classification. Sometimes legal classification is required when the best available science indicates that discrete classification is not an adequate model for the case. Establishing legal status and level of protection for hybrids and hybrid populations means choosing from a range of scientifically valid alternatives. Although we should not abandon species-based approaches to conservation, we must recognize their limitations and work to clarify the roles of science and values in ethical and legal decisions [Current Zoology 61 （1）： 206-216, 2015].

Purpose to examine and compare the effects of three days of dynamic constant external resistance(DCER)and isokinetic(ISOK)training and subsequent detraining on thigh muscle cross-sectional area(tMCSA)and thigh lean mass(tLM),ISOK peak torque(Pt),DCER strength,isometric force,muscle activation,and percent voluntary activation(%VA).Methods thirty-one apparently-healthy untrained men(mean±SD age=22.2±4.2 years;body mass=77.9±12.9 kg;height=173.9±5.4 cm)were randomly assigned to a DCER training group(n=11),ISOK training group(n=10)or control(CONt)group(n=10).Subjects visited the laboratory eight *** first visit was a familiarization session,the second visit was a pre-training assessment,the subsequent three visits were for unilateral training of the quadriceps(if assigned to a training group),and the last three visits were the post-training assessments conducted at three days,one week,and two weeks after training *** DCER strength increased from pre-to post-training assessment 1 in both limbs for the DCER group only,and remained elevated during post-training assessments 2 and 3(Ption,surface EMG for the biceps femoris was higher at post-training assessment 3 than at the pre-training assessment,and post-training assessments 1 and 2(Pther training-related changes were *** the primary finding of this study was that DCER strength of the trained and untrained limbs can be increased with three days of *** has important implications for injury rehabilitation,where in the initial period post-injury strength gains on an injured limb can possibly be obtained with short-term contralateral resistance training.
