to analyse the self-healing capacities in terms of mechanical performance of the pozzolanic materials,such as,fly ash,metakaolin and silica fume and crystalline ***-cracked concrete cubes with about 0.05 mm width were exposed to four different environmental conditions at different exposure times in order to determine the effect of temperature and water availability on the self-healing *** the exposure,the control and tested concrete cubes were evaluated for regained strength,void reduction,corrosion inhibition,damp proofing,relative impermeability and *** samples with SF10CA have better cementitious filling and low percentage of voids and water absorption.

the scope of the present paper is to understand the effects of crystalline admixture on the selfhealing capacity of the cementitious composites. Previous studies were examined and a conclusion was drawn to the effect that different additives to crystalline admixture tend to improve self-healing of concrete for larger cracks. It is recommended that initial treatment with chemical admixture can stimulate and heal further cracks and it has the better repeatability trend in mixing with the concretes and mechanical recovery is possible even under repetitive preloading. Effective self-healing with chemical admixtures even under open-air exposure, leads to study the importance of a service ability design parameter including the maximum allowable crack width by repeatability analysis as a function of the exposure with the concept of sealable crack width.

Genotyping by sequencing(GBS) is the recent approach of next-generation sequencing technique for discovering and genotyping single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) in crop species. Genotypic variation studies(SNPs and insertion-deletions/In Dels) were performed using four rice lines based on GBS data by aligning to the reference genome Nipponbare. Local aromatic rice landrace tulaipanji was crossed with Ranjit, and two distinct lines were identified from the progenies: one line with awns and aroma traits and the other without awns and aroma. total number of SNPs and In Dels identified were 52 810 and 4 327 at read depth 10, respectively. Out of the total polymorphic SNPs/In Dels, 16 490 were intergeneric, 7 812 were inside gene, and 4 435 were intronic. Phylogenetically, tulaipanji was closer to the reference genome nipponbare. Based on recurrent parent genome analysis, out of 10 013 alleles, 92.52% was introgressed into progeny-awn from tulaipanji and 7.48% from Ranjit, whereas progeny-awnless carried 89.19% alleles from Ranjit and only 10.81% alleles from tulaipanji. In addition, progeny-awn was the highest heterozygous(83.88%) and progeny-awnless was the least(2.24%) at this fifth generation of recombinant inbred lines. these SNP variations may be linked to the phenotypic traits and can be utilized in crop improvement through linkage mapping. these results suggest that adding a high density of SNP markers to a mapping or breeding population through GBS has a great value for numerous applications in rice breeding and genetics research.

In this work,we propose a stateless blockchain called CompactChain,which compacts the entire state of the UtXO(Unspent transaction Output)based blockchain systems into two RSA *** first accumulator is called transaction Output(tXO)commitment which represents the tXO *** second one is called Spent transaction Output(StXO)commitment which represents the StXO *** this work,we discuss three algorithms:(i)to update the tXO and StXO commitments by the *** miner also provides the proofs for the correctness of the updated commitments;(ii)to prove the transaction’s validity by providing a membership witness in tXO commitment and non-membership witness against StXO commitment for a coin being spent by a user;(iii)to update the witness for the coin that is not yet spent;the experimental results evaluate the performance of the CompactChain in terms of time taken by a miner to update the commitments and time taken by a validator to verify the commitments and validate the *** compare the performance of CompactChain with the existing state-of-the-art works on stateless *** shows a reduction in commitments update complexity and transaction witness size which inturn reduces the mempool size and propagation latency without compromising the system throughput(transactions per second(tPS)).

the aim of this paper is to observe the Nusselt number and friction factor behavior of the circular tube with conical strip inserts as turbulators in a laminar flow condition, using staggered and non-staggered conical strips with three different twist ratios （Y = 2, 3 and 5）. the conical strip is inserted in the forward and backward direction individually compared to the flow of water which is the working fluid. the results indicate that the conical strip inserts increases the Nusselt number when compared to the plain surface tube. It is observed that the strip geometry has a major effect on the thermal performance of the circular tube. On examination of different strips for determining the enhancement of Nusselt number, the staggered conical strip with the twist ratio of Y = 3 has given a better result compared to the other two strips. Finally, correlations have been derived using regression analysis for predicting the Nusselt number and friction factor.

Low velocity impact experiments were carried out on E-glass/epoxy composite laminates having varying thicknesses at sub zero and elevated temperatures using hemi spherical steel impactor of 16 mm diameter with impact energies in the rage of 50-150 *** performance of the laminates was assessed in terms of energy absorption,maximum displacement,peak force and failure *** indicated that the effect of temperature on energy absorption of the laminate is negligible although the laminates are embrittling at sub zero *** it has influence on failure behaviour and *** force has increased linearly with increase in laminate thickness from 5 to 10 *** it got reduced by 25% when temperature was increased from-20℃ to 100℃,Based on experimental results,laminate perforation energies were predicted using curve fitting *** analysis was carried out using taguchi method to identify the global effects of various parameters on laminate performance and confirmed that the laminate thickness has significant influence as compared to temperature,for the studied range.

the present paper reports the results of experimental investigations on the effect of diffuser vane shape on the performance of a centrifugal compressor stage. these studies were conducted on the chosen stage having a back- ward curved impeller of 500 turn tip diameter and 24.5 mm width and its design flow coefficient is Фd=0.0535. three different low solidity diffuser vane shapes namely uncarnbered aerofoil, constant thickness flat plate and circular arc cambered constant thickness plate were chosen as the variants for diffuser vane shape and all the three shapes have the same thickness to chord ratio （t/c=0.1）. Flow coefficient, polytropic efficiency, total head coeffi- cient, power coefficient and static pressure recovery coefficient were chosen as the parameters for evaluating the effect of diffuser vane shape on the stage performance. the results show that there is reasonable improvement in stage efficiency and total head coefficient with the use of the chosen diffuser vane shapes as compared to conven- tional vaneless diffuser. It is also noticed that the aero foil shaped LSD has shown better performance when com- pared to flat plate and circular arc profiles. the aerofoil vane shape of the diffuser blade is seen to be tolerant over a considerable range of incidence.
