Long-term trends in Extreme temperatures in Hong Kong and Southern china

the observed long-term trends in extreme temperatures in Hong Kong were studied based on the meteorological data recorded at the Hong Kong Observatory Headquarters from 1885-2008. Results show that, over the past 124 years, the extreme daily minimum and maximum temperatures, as well as the length of the warm spell in Hong Kong, exhibit statistically significant long-term rising trends, while the length of the cold spell shows a statistically significant decreasing trend. the time-dependent return period analysis also indicated that the return period for daily minimum temperature at 4°c or lower lengthened considerably from 6 years in 1900 to over 150 years in 2000, while the return periods for daily maximum temperature reaching 35°c or above shortened drastically from 32 years in 1900 to 4.5 years in 2000. Past trends in extreme temperatures from selected weather stations in southern china from 1951-2004 were also assessed. Over 70% of the stations studied yielded a statistically significant rising trend in extreme daily minimum temperature, while the trend for extreme maximum temperatures was found to vary, with no significant trend established for the majority of stations.

香港天文台近年的研究显示,香港的气温上升是由温室效应增强所导致的全球变暖及本地高密度城市发展的共同影响。除温度外,香港因受城市化影响,相对湿度在城市与郊区之间亦有很明显的差异。选取1989—2006年较能代表香港市区与郊区情况的气象站每小时气温和相对湿度数据,初步比较了香港市郊温度和相对湿度差异的日变化和季节变化,并试图分析这些差异变化与城市化影响的关系。结果显示郊区的气温变化幅度比市区大、变化也较突然,市区晚间至清晨气温较郊区为高;日间情况大致逆转,但气温差别幅度不及晚间。一年之中,城市化效应在冬季最为显著,春季则最不明显。市郊相对湿度的差异同样很明显。晚间至清晨市区相对湿度较郊区为低,日间相反。

Li-cO_(2)batteries are highly anticipated as promising candidates for advanced electrochemical energy storage systems owing to their high theoretical specific energy of 1876 Wh kg^(-1),based on the discharge products of Li_(2)cO_(3)and c,their environmentally benign cO_(2)utilization [1].Since cO_(2)is the main component of the atmosphere on Mars,Li-cO_(2)batteries can serve as an excellent power source for Mars exploration ***,several key issues remain unresolved,such as the slow kinetics of cO_(2)reduction reaction(cRR) and cO_(2)evolution reaction(cER),the severe side reaction between Li with cO_(2),and the risk of the electrolyte combustion due to thermal runaway,all of which hinder the practical application of Li-cO_(2)batteries.

经典抗焦虑抑郁药物-度洛西汀为带状疱疹后神经痛(postherpetic neuralgia,PHN)的一线治疗药物。本研究首次提出在带状疱疹出疱急性期预防性口服度洛西汀有望预防PHN的发生,纳入疼痛VAS评分≥4、带状疱疹出疱72 h内的750例病人,随机分为对照组和度洛西汀组。对照组接受常规临床治疗,度洛西汀组在常规治疗基础上口服度洛西汀。主要结局指标为12周时PHN的发生率。次要结局指标包括3、4、8周VAS评分>0的人数,以及4、8、12周VAS评分≥3的人数、生活质量评分、病人总体变化评分、睡眠质量评分等。结果表明,度洛西汀组的PHN发生率与对照组相比无显著差异,度洛西汀组第3、4、8周VAS评分>0的人数,以及4、8和12周VAS评分≥3的人数显著少于对照组。度洛西汀组病人的生活质量评分、病人总体变化评分、睡眠质量评分均显著优于对照组。虽然本研究为阴性结果,但预防性口服度洛西汀仍可以避免5.9%的带状疱疹病人发展成为PHN,因此具有一定的临床意义。

During the first welding process in manufacturing a precise seam container, the steel material must first undergo a full annealing treatment. Multilayer welding operations are conducted and then applied with refining treatment to obtain the goal by hardening. the influence of thermal refining on mechanical properties of annealed SAE 4130 by multilayer GtAW （gas tungsten arc welding） was discussed. the AW （annealing＋welding） and AWSt （annealing＋welding＋solution＋tempering） occurred with a minimum hardness value at GGHAZ （grain growth heat affected zone） due to coarse grain growth~ the hardness occurred with sudden drops between the multilayer welding, but was still larger than the minimum value at HAZ （heat affected zone）. the welded joint efficiency of the AWSt was 89.9%, with the elongation reduced to 77.2% of ASt （annealing＋solution＋tempering）. the cross section of the tensile samples both appeared with a uniform dimple-shaped structure, and however the necking for ASt was greater than that for AWSt. the impact value for AWSt was 166.5% of ASt. Moreover, from microstructure observations, it was found that AWSt had a greater tendency to ductile failure than ASt. these results can be inferred., the process of steady pressure and the initial position of the precision tube breakage HAZ. However, when stress occurs instantly, HAZ can absorb more energy, therefore the initial damage does not occur.

BAcKGROUND Family caregivers of cirrhosis patients(cPs)often experience burden,stress,and *** whether these conditions improve following the patient undergoing liver transplantation(Lt)is crucial,as it would elucidate the compre-hensive benefits of the procedure and demonstrate the positive impacts not only on the patients but also on their caregivers and *** to compare the levels of burden,stress and depression among family caregivers of cirrhotic and liver transplant *** this cross-sectional observational study evaluated caregivers of cPs and Lt recipients at a quaternary Brazilian *** included identification cards,interview scripts,the caregiver burden scale Inventory,Lipp’s Stress Symptom Inventory,and the Beck Depression Inventory-Second *** analyses involved confirmatory factor analysis and calculation of McDonald’s omega and composite *** scores were compared with the Mann-Whitney U test,with effect size as the rank-biserial correlation coefficient(r).Statistical analysis was performed with R software(PtS Seventy-seven cP caregivers and 65 Lt recipient caregivers were *** were female(cP:85.7%vs Lt:84.6%)and the patients’spouses(76.6%vs 63.1%).the median age and caregiving duration were 55.4(23.3-76.3)vs 54.6(25.7-82.1)and 3.9(1-20)vs 8(1.5-24)years,respectively(P=0.001).Lt caregivers were less likely to be at risk of overload(21.5%vs 49.4%),to be under stress(33.8%vs 36.4%)and to show symptoms of depression(15.4%vs 35.1%).compared with Lt caregivers,cP caregivers had greater median factor scores for burden(general tension,P=0.012;isolation,P=0.014;disappointment,P=0.004),depression(P=0.008),and stress(P=0.047),with small to moderate effect *** disappointment(r=0.240)and depression(r=0.225)dimensions had the largest effect *** Family caregivers of Lt recipients are less likely to exhibit symptoms of burden,stress,and depression,su
