Comparative analyses of mitogenomes in the social bees with insights into evolution of long inverted repeats in the Meliponini

the insect mitogenome is typically a compact circular molecule with highly conserved gene ***,mitogenome structural variations have been reported in specific taxa,and gene rearrangements,usually the tRNAs,occur in different *** synapomorphies of mitogenome organizations can provide information for phylogenetic inferences,comparative analyses of mitogenomes have been given increasing ***,most studies use a very few species to represent the whole genus,tribe,family,or even order,overlooking potential variations at lower taxonomic levels,which might lead to some incorrect *** provide new insights into mitogenome organizations and their implications for phylogenetic inference,this study conducted comparative analyses for mitogenomes of three social bee tribes(Meliponini,Bombini,and Apini)based on the phylogenetic framework with denser taxonomic sampling at the species and population *** analyses revealed that mitogenomes of Apini and Bombini are the typical type,while those of Meliponini show diverse variations in mitogenome sizes and *** inverted repeats(IRs)cause significant gene rearrangements of protein coding genes(PCGs)and rRNAs in Indo-Malay/Australian stingless bee *** evolution analyses showed that the lineage with IRs have lower dN/dS ratios for PCGs than lineages without IRs,indicating potential effects of IRs on the evolution of mitochondrial *** finding of IRs and different patterns of gene rearrangements suggested that Meliponini is a hotspot in mitogenome *** conserved PCGs and rRNAs whose rearrangements were found only in the mentioned lineages within Meliponini,tRNA rearrangements are common across all three tribes of social bees,and are significant even at the species level,indicating that comprehensive sampling is needed to fully understand the patterns of tRNA rearrangements,and their implications for phylogenetic inference.

A particle-resolved heat-particle-fluid coupling model by DEM-IMB-LBM

Multifield coupling is frequently encountered and also an active area of research in geotechnical *** this work,a particle-resolved direct numerical simulation(PR-DNS)technique is extended to simulate particle-fluid interaction problems involving heat transfer at the grain *** this extended technique,an immersed moving boundary(IMB)scheme is used to couple the discrete element method(DEM)and lattice Boltzmann method(LBM),while a recently proposed Dirichlet-type thermal boundary condition is also adapted to account for heat transfer between fluid phase and solid *** resulting DEM-IBM-LBM model is robust to simulate moving curved boundaries with constant temperature in thermal *** facilitate the understanding and implementation of this coupled model for non-isothermal problems,a complete list is given for the conversion of relevant physical variables to lattice ***,benchmark tests,including a single-particle sedimentation and a two-particle drafting-kissing-tumbling(Dkt)simulation with heat transfer,are carried out to validate the accuracy of our coupled *** further investigate the role of heat transfer in particle-laden flows,two multiple-particle problems with heat transfer are *** examples demonstrate that the proposed coupling model is a promising high-resolution approach for simulating the heat-particle-fluid coupling at the grain level.

A Weighted Flow related to a trudinger–Moser Functional on Closed Riemann Surface

In this paper,with(Σ,g)being a closed Riemann surface,we analyze the possible concentration behavior of a heat flow related to the trudinger–Moser *** obtain a long time existence for the *** along some sequence of times t_(k)→+∞,we can deduce the convergence of the flow in H2(Σ).Furthermore,the limit function is a critical point of the trudinger–Moser functional under certain constraint.

the high-resolution DEM-IMB-LBM model can accurately describe pore-scale fluid-solid interactions,but its potential for use in geotechnical engineering analysis has not been fully unleashed due to its prohibitive computational *** overcome this limitation,a message passing interface(MPI)parallel DEM-IMB-LBM framework is proposed aimed at enhancing computation *** framework utilises a static domain decomposition scheme,with the entire computation domain being decomposed into multiple subdomains according to predefined processors.A detailed parallel strategy is employed for both contact detection and hydrodynamic force *** particular,a particle ID re-numbering scheme is proposed to handle particle transitions across sub-domain *** benchmarks are conducted to validate the accuracy and overall performance of the proposed ***,the framework is applied to simulate scenarios involving multi-particle sedimentation and submarine *** numerical examples effectively demonstrate the robustness and applicability of the MPI parallel DEM-IMB-LBM framework.

BL03HB: a Laue microdiffraction beamline for both protein crystallography and materials science at SSRF

A Laue microdiffraction beamline (BL03HB) was constructed at the Shanghai SynchrotronRadiation Facility (SSRF). this beamline featu res two consecutive focusing points in twodifferent sectors within its end station, the first dedicated to protein crystallography and theother tailored to materials science applications. Based on a superbend dipole magnet with amagnetic field of 2.29 t, a two-stage focusing design was implemented with two sets of kirkpatrick- Baez mirrors to achieve a micro white beam as small as 4.2 um X4.3 pμm at the firstsector and 09 pum X 1.3 pum at the second sector in the standard beamline operation mode at *** X-ray microbeam in the two sectors can be easily switched between monochromatic andwhite beams by moving a four-bounce monochromator in or out of the light path, respectively. Inthe protein crystallography sector, white-beam Laue microdifraction was dermonstrated tosuccessully determine the structure of protein crystals from only a few images of diffraction data .collected by a Pilatus 2 M area detector. In the materials science sector, the white -beam Lauediffraction was collected in a reflection geometry using another Pilatus 2 M area detector, whichcould map the microstructural distribution on the sample surface by scanning the samples. Ingeneral, the BL03HB beamline promotes the application of Laue microdiffraction in both proteincrystallgraphy and materials science. this paper presents a comprehensive overview of theBL03HB beamline, end station, and the first commission results.

Network Intrusion traffic Detection Based on Feature Extraction

With the increasing dimensionality of network traffic,extracting effective traffic features and improving the identification accuracy of different intrusion traffic have become critical in intrusion detection systems(IDS).However,both unsupervised and semisupervised anomalous traffic detection methods suffer from the drawback of ignoring potential correlations between features,resulting in an analysis that is not an optimal ***,in order to extract more representative traffic features as well as to improve the accuracy of traffic identification,this paper proposes a feature dimensionality reduction method combining principal component analysis and Hotelling’s t^(2) and a multilayer convolutional bidirectional long short-term memory(MSC_BiLStM)classifier model for network traffic intrusion *** method reduces the parameters and redundancy of the model by feature extraction and extracts the dependent features between the data by a bidirectional long short-term memory(BiLStM)network,which fully considers the influence between the before and after *** network traffic is first characteristically downscaled by principal component analysis(PCA),and then the downscaled principal components are used as input to Hotelling’s t^(2) to compare the differences between *** datasets with outliers,Hotelling’s t^(2) can help identify the groups where the outliers are located and quantitatively measure the extent of the ***,a multilayer convolutional neural network and a BiLStM network are used to extract the spatial and temporal features of network traffic *** empirical consequences exhibit that the suggested approach in this manuscript attains superior outcomes in precision,recall and F1-score juxtaposed with the prevailing *** results show that the intrusion detection accuracy,precision,and F1-score of the proposed MSC_BiLStM model for the CIC-IDS 2017 dataset are 98.71%,95.97%,and 90.22%.

transient stimulated Raman scattering spectroscopy and imaging

Stimulated Raman scattering(SRS)has been developed as an essential quantitative contrast for chemical imaging in recent ***,while spectral lines near the natural linewidth limit can be routinely achieved by state-of-the-art spontaneous Raman microscopes,spectral broadening is inevitable for current mainstream SRS imaging *** is because those SRS signals are all measured in the frequency *** is a compromise between sensitivity and spectral resolution:as the nonlinear process benefits from pulsed excitations,the fundamental time-energy uncertainty limits the spectral ***,the spectral range and acquisition speed are mutually *** we report transient stimulated Raman scattering(t-SRS),an alternative time-domain strategy that bypasses all these fundamental conjugations.t-SRS is achieved by quantum coherence manipulation:we encode the vibrational oscillations in the stimulated Raman loss(SRL)signal by femtosecond pulse-pair sequence excited vibrational wave packet *** Raman spectrum was then achieved by Fourier transform of the time-domain SRL *** all Raman modes are impulsively and simultaneously excited,t-SRS features the natural-linewidth-limit spectral line shapes,laser-bandwidth-determined spectral range,and improved ***~150-fs laser pulses,we boost the sensitivity of typical Raman modes to the sub-mM *** all-plane-mirror high-speed time-delay scanning,we further demonstrated hyperspectral SRS imaging of live-cell metabolism and high-density multiplexed imaging with the natural-linewidth-limit spectral resolution.t-SRS shall find valuable applications for advanced Raman imaging.
