Background:the seasonal influenza vaccine coverage rate in China is only 1.9%.there is no information available on the economic burden of influenza-associated outpatient visits and hospitalizations at the national level,even though this kind of information is important for informing national-level immunization policy ***:A retrospective telephone survey was conducted in 2013/14 to estimate the direct and indirect costs of seasonal influenza-associated outpatient visits and hospitalizations from a societal *** participants were laboratory-confirmed cases registered in the National Influenza-like Illness Surveillance Network and Severe Acute Respiratory Infections Sentinel Surveillance Network in China in ***-reported costs from the survey were validated by a review of hospital accounts for a small sample of the ***:the study enrolled 529 outpatients(median age:eight years;interquartile range[IQR]:five to 20 years)and 254 inpatients(median age:four years;IQR:two to seven years).Among the outpatients,22.1%(117/529)had underlying diseases and among the inpatients,52.8%(134/254)had underlying *** average total costs related to influenza-associated outpatient visits and inpatient visits were US$155(standard deviation,SD US$122)and US$1,511(SD US$1,465),*** medical costs accounted for 45 and 69%of the total costs related to influenza-associated outpatient and inpatient visits,*** influenza outpatients,the mean cost per episode in children aged below five years(US$196)was higher than that in other age groups(US$129–153).For influenza inpatients,the mean cost per episode in adults aged over 60 years(US$2,735)was much higher than that in those aged below 60 years(US$1,417–1,621).Patients with underlying medical conditions had higher costs per episode than patients without underlying medical conditions(outpatients:US$186 ***$146;inpatients:US$1,800 ***$1,189).In the baseline ana

Recently,by intercalating organic ions into bulk FeSe superconductors,two kinds of layered FeSe-based superconductors[(tBA)xFeSe and(CtA)xFeSe]with superconducting transition temperatures(tc)above 40 K have been *** to the large interlayer distance(~15A),these new layered superconductors have a large resistivity anisotropy analogous to bismuth-based cuprate ***,remarkable pseudogap behavior well above tcis revealed by nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)measurements on77Se nuclei,suggesting a preformed pairing scenario similar to that of ***,we report another new kind of organic-ion-intercalated FeSe superconductor,(PY)xFeSe,with a reduced interlayer distance(~10A)compared to(tBA)xFeSe and(CtA)*** performing77Se NMR and transport measurements,we observe a similar pseudogap behavior well above tcof~40 K and a large resistivity anisotropy of~10~4 in(PY)*** these facts strongly support a universal pseudogap behavior in these layered FeSe-based superconductors with quasi-two-dimensional electronic structures.

盆山结合部位近地表结构复杂,地震资料信噪比低,静校正问题突出。以横穿西南天山与塔里木盆地的某二维地震测线为例,通过分析盆地、盆山结合部和山区的典型单炮记录,确定了一套基于浮动基准面的层析静校正流程——对起伏地表的高程进行平滑,将其作为浮动基准面;在该基准面上应用初至波层析反演方法计算炮、检点静校正量,并应用于数据体上;之后对该数据体进行速度分析和动校正等常规处理,再应用高程法计算浮动基准面到最终基准面的炮、检点静校正量。实际应用效果表明,该方法能较好地解决盆山结合部资料中的中、长波长静校正问题,地震剖面的成像质量得到了明显提高。

Major depressive disorder(MDD)and type 2 diabetes(t2D)are two common complex multifactorial disorders that share several genetic and environmental risk factors such as hypercortisolism and related genes'riskvariants within the stress response and the neuroendocrine hypothalamicpituitary *** stress,the pituitary gland releases prolactin(PRL),whose effects are pleiotropic and include mood control and insulin secretion from the beta cells.1 Variations in the prolactin receptor(PRLR)gene are associated in rodent models with stress level,depressionlike behavior,2 and hepatic insulin sensitivity3 and in humans with maternal glucose homeostasis and gestational diabetes.

Melatonin is an endogenous monoamine hormone secreted by the pineal *** signaling has been shown to play a role in circadian rhythm regulation,lipid and glucose metabolism,and obesity,and it has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant *** melatonin receptor 1B gene(MtNR1B)is expressed in,among other tissues,the brain and pancreatic beta cells,and risk variants for t2D have been reported as impairing early insulin secretion and increasing fasting glucose levels.^(1) Variants in the MtNR1B gene also have been reported in patients with depression(MDD).

Neddylation is necessary for activation of Cullin-RING ligases(CRLs),which degrade various immune regulatory *** recent study showed that while depletion of neddylation E2-E3 pair Ube2f-Sag in regulatory t(t_(reg))cells had no obvious phenotype,the same depletion of either Ube2m or Rbx1 caused inflammation disorders with different *** these E2s or E3s compensate each other in functional regulations of t_(reg)cells is,however,previously *** this report,we generated Foxp3^(Cre);Ube2m^(fl/fl);Ube2f^(fl/fl)or Foxp3^(Cre);Rbx1^(fl/fl);Sag^(fl/fl)double-null mice by simultaneous deletion of both neddylation E2s or E3s in t_(reg)cells,***,Ube2m&Ube2f double-null mice developed much severe autoimmune phenotypes than did Ube2m-null mice,indicating that Ube2m markedly compensates Ube2f in t_(reg)*** minor worsened autoimmune phenotypes seen at the very early stage in Rbx1&Sag double-null than Rbx1-null mice is likely due to already severe phenotypes of the later,indicating a minor compensation of Rbx1 for *** RNA profiling-based analyses revealed that up-and down-regulations of few signaling pathways in t_(reg)cells are associated with the severity of autoimmune ***,severer inflammation phenotypes seen in mice with double E3-null than with double E2-null t_(reg)cells indicate a neddylation-independent mechanism of 2 E3s,also known to serve as the RING component of CRLs in regulation of t_(reg)cell fitness.

Efficient guiding and focusing of intense laser pulse using periodic thin slits

Slits have been widely used in laser-plasma interactions as plasma optical components for generating high-harmonic light and controlling laser-driven particle ***,we propose and demonstrate that periodic thin slits can be regarded as a new breed of optical elements for efficient focusing and guiding of intense laser *** fundamental physics of intense laser interaction with thin slits is studied,and it is revealed that relativistic effects can lead to enhanced laser focusing far beyond the pure diffractive focusing *** addition,the interaction of an intense laser pulse with periodic thin slits makes it feasible to achieve multifold enhancement in both laser intensity and energy transfer efficiency compared with conventional *** results provide a novel method for manipulating ultra-intense laser pulses and should be of interest for many laser-based applications.

Atomically thin Pt nanolayers were synthesized on the surface of Mo2tiC2 MXenes and used for the catalytic dehydrogenation of ethane and propane into ethylene and propylene,two important chemicals for the petrochemical *** compared with Pt nanoparticles,the atomically thin Pt nanolayer catalyst showed superior coke-resistance(no deactivation for 24 h),high activity(turnover frequencies(tOFs)of 0.4–1.2 s^(-1)),and selectivity(>95%)toward ethylene and *** unique Pt nanolayer has a similar geometric surface to Pt nanoparticles,enabling the investigations of the electronic effect on the catalytic performance,where the geometric effect is *** is found that the electronic effect plays a critical role in dehydrogenative product selectivity and catalyst *** metal–support interaction is found dependent on the substrate and metal components,providing wide opportunities to explore high-performance MXene-supported metallic catalysts.
