Carbon nanotube （CNt） arrays were fabricated on Ct-Me-N-（O） alloys with content of Ct in the range of 6-40 at.% by chemical vapour deposition. the Ct was a catalytic metal from the group of the following elements： Ni, Co, Fe, Pd, while Me was a transition metal from the group of Iv-vII of the periodic table （where Me=ti, v, Cr, Zr, Nb, Mo, ta, W, Re）. Carbon nanotubes were found to grow efficiently on the alloy surface with its composition containing ti, v, Cr, Zr, Hf, Nb or ta. the growth of CNts was not observed when the alloy contained W or Re. Additions of oxygen and nitrogen in the alloy facilitated the formation of oxynitrides and catalyst extrusion on the alloy surface. Replacement of the metals in alloy composition affected the diameter of the resulting CNts. the obtained results showed that the alloy films of varying thickness （10-500 nm） may be used for the CNts growth. the resulting CNt material was highly homogenous and its synthesis reproducible.

the present study explores the influence of electromagnetic effects on the flow of a nanofluid in a saturated permeable medium,confined between a clear viscous fluid in an inclined *** nanofluid consists of cobalt ferrite nanoparticles dispersed in ethylene *** governing equations are derived considering Darcy's law for the permeable medium and tiwari's model for fluids containing nano-sized ***,radiation and dissipation effects are incorporated into the energy *** equations are transformed into dimensionless form and solved analytically using the perturbation *** results are analyzed through graphs and tables for different material *** findings reveal that higher electric and magnetic strengths have a significant impact on the fluid velocity at the interface of the two fluids,resulting in reduced shear both at the clear fluid surface and the interface between *** highlights the crucial role played by electric and magnetic strengths in modifying flow ***,combining electric and magnetic strengths with nanofluids can be utilized to achieve desired qualities in multi-fluid flow and enhance heat transfer characteristics.

3-Chloro-4-(3,4-dichloroisothiazol-5-yl)-5-hydroxy-7-methyl-2 H-chromen-2-ones,a kind of coumarin derivatives,were synthesized byβ-ketoester formation and *** compound 5 e was crystallized from methanol for structural identification as monoclinic crystal system,space group C2/c with a=16.2700(6),b=7.1801(5),c=23.4861(10)A,v=2742.6(2)A^(3),Z=8,Dc=1.756 g/cm^(3),F(000)=1456 andμ=0.827 mm-1.8308 Reflections were collected(6.01≤2θ≤50.05°),of which 2428 were unique(Rint=0.0432)and used in all *** final R=0.0408(I>2σ(I))and w R=0.1056(reflections).In vitro bioassay indicated that compounds 5 d&5 e possessed good activity against Botrytis cinerea,Physalospora piricola,Rhizoctonia solani,and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum with lower EC50 values falling between 0.50 and 4.85μg/m L than that of positive control osthole with its EC50 values between 7.38 and 74.59μg/*** vivo screening showed that 5 e exhibited 98%and 95%efficacy against Pseudoperonospora cubensis(Berk.&Curt.)*** 100 and 50μg/mL,*** studies discovered that the combination of bioactive substructures of isothiazole with coumarin was an effective way to novel fungicide development.

Objective: to study Brucella(B.) abortus strains isolated in the Russian Federation, in order to identify their detailed position in the phylogenetic structure of the species global population as well as to determine genetic relationships for isolates from different geographical ***: Based on Bayesian method, the whole genome singlenucleotide polymorphism(SNP) analysis of 258 B. abortus strains from different geographical areas of the world including 20 B. abortus strains isolated in Russia was carried out. Results: the core genome SNP analysis of the B. abortus isolates allowed describing the main genetic lineages. the Russian strains entered two separate clades, including the basal branch and the C1 branch that is widely spread in Eurasia. the data on the isolation time was used for the dating of phylogenetic tree, and also the estimated time frame for the B. abortus genotype diversification was determined. there were sets of specific SNPs identified, which defined each of the genotypes and ***: A significant genetic diversity of the brucellosis pathogen strains from Russia has been proven. the sets of unique specific SNPs described in our study may become one of the elements within a bio-informational analysis algorithm to be used for epidemiological study of brucellosis outbreaks, including those caused by new(atypical) genetic variants of B. abortus.

X-ray absorption near-edge structure(XANES)spectra are the fingerprint of the local atomic and electronic structures around the absorbing ***,the quantitative analysis of these spectra is not *** with the most recent advances in this area,for a given spectrum,it is not clear a priori which structural parameters can be refined and how uncertainties should be ***,we present an alternative concept for the analysis of XANES spectra,which is based on machine learning algorithms and establishes the relationship between intuitive descriptors of spectra,such as edge position,intensities,positions,and curvatures of minima and maxima on the one hand,and those related to the local atomic and electronic structure which are the coordination numbers,bond distances and angles and oxidation state on the other *** approach overcoms the problem of the systematic difference between theoretical and experimental ***,the numerical relations can be expressed in analytical formulas providing a simple and fast tool to extract structural parameters based on the spectral *** methodology was successfully applied to experimental data for the multicomponent Fe:SiO_(2)system and reference iron compounds,demonstrating the high prediction quality for both the theoretical validation sets and experimental data.

Electrolytic In-process Dressing(ELID)砂轮氧化膜具有辅助抛光性能,对改善磨削表面质量具有极其重要意义。分析了ELID砂轮表面氧化膜界面反应及复合磨粒的形成机理,利用X-射线衍射(μ-XRD)微区分析及电子能谱仪(XPS)对复合磨粒的组成成分、复合区域进行了测试,用扫描电镜(SEM)和透射电镜(tEM)对其形状、粒度、微观结构进行了研究。研究表明,氧化膜中复合磨粒是以磨粒为中心,从中心到边缘的成分依次为α-Fe_(2)O_(3),γ-Fe_(2)O_(3),FeO(OH),Fe(OH)3等氧化物的复合结构。复合磨粒表面形成的氧化膜,呈层层堆积的圆葱状结构,磨削脱水后呈龟背状裂纹。复合磨粒形状为近似长圆形,粒度可达11.5μm到50μm。若干个复合磨粒在氧化膜内连续成网状结构,该网状结构对氧化膜辅助抛光有利,复合磨粒有效去除宽度为磨粒粒度及α-Fe_(2)O_(3)层宽度。

Objective:this study aims to determine the prevalence of intestinal parasites infesting the vegetable foodstuffs and determine the parasitological profile of the vegetable foodstuffs ***:About 200 randomly sampled vegetable foodstuffs obtained from the vendors of the Balintawak and Divisoria public markets were examined for the occurrence of intestinal ***:A total of 119(59.5%) vegetable foodstuffs examined were tested *** most common parasite found was the Ascaris *** significant differences between the prevalence of intestinal parasites at the two public markets were found(P > 0.05).Conclusion: the vegetables can be a potential source of parasitic infection.

A novel Eu^(2+)-Eu^(3+)co-activated ratiometric thermo-sensitive phosphor was developed and synthesized by solid-state *** valence state of Eu,photoluminescence and thermo-sensitive performance of the phosphor prepared either in ambient air or carbothermally were investigated and *** phosphor shows high sensitivity(Sa=0.0173 K^(-1),S_(r)=0.461%/K)and superior signal discriminability(Δν∼10380 cm^(−1)).the thermo-sensitive performance is subject to the dual effects of different thermo-responses by Eu^(2+)versus Eu^(3+)combined with energy transfer from Eu^(2+)to Eu^(3+),so that the sensitivity of the phosphor in the temperature range presents a non-monotonic *** development of the BaAl_(2)B_(2)O_(7):Eu^(2+),Eu^(3+)phosphor is not only expected to be relevant for application in the field of temperature sensing,but also of reference significance for improving the sensitivity by means of energy transfer between co-activator ions over a wider temperature range of Eu^(2+)-Eu^(3+)co-activated ratiometric thermo-sensitive phosphors.

Interactions between metal ions and the biopolymer in activated sludge： quantification and effects of system pH value

the quantification and effects of system pH value on the interactions between Pb（II） and the biopolymer in activated sludge were investigated. the biopolymer had two protein-like fluorescence peaks （Ex/Em = 280 nm1326-338 nm for peak A; Ex/Em = 220-230 nm/324-338 nm for peak B）. the fluorescence intensities of peak B were higher than those of peak A. the fluorophores of both peaks could be largely quenched by Pb（ll）, and the quencher dose for peak B was about half of that for peak A. the modified Stern-volmer equation well depicted the fluorescence quenching titration. the quenching constant （Ka） values for both peaks decreased with rising system pH value, and then sharply decreased under alkaline conditions. It could be attributed to that the alkaline conditions caused the reduction of available Pb（II） due to the occurrence of Pb（OH）2 sediments. the Ka values of peak B were bigger than those for peak A at the same system pH values. Accordingly, the aromatic proteins （peak B） played a key role in the interactions between metal ions and the biopolymer.
