＜正＞ Using stoichiometric hydrogen-oxygen and propane-oxygen mixtures, the detonation was made spherically converge toward the center of the detonation chamber, whose cross section was made conical. the scratch was observed at the center. the depth and the width of the deepest point of the scratch were twenty and several μm and 0.1 mm, respectively.Also the converging profiles of the stoichiometric hydrogen-oxygen mixture were followed by measuring pressure profiles at various radii. the relations between the pressure P/PCJ and the radius （r/Ro）m agreed well with those of propane-oxygen mixture. the power dependencies m were m=1.1±0.2 for the incident detonation, m=0.9±0.1 for the first reflected shock wave, m=1.2±0.1 for the second reflected shock wave.the argon temperatures at imploding center were 7000±4000 K between 1 and 3 μs and the electron temperatures were 20000±10000 K, which were measured by estimation of Bremsstrahlung.

Neurons migrate from their birthplaces to the destinations,and extending axons navigate to their synaptic targets by sensing various extracellular cues in spatiotemporally controlled manners.these evolutionally conserved guidance cues and their receptors regulate multiple aspects of neural development to establish the highly complex nervous system by mediating both short-and long-range cell-cell communications.Neuronal guidance genes(encoding cues,receptors,or downstream signal transducers)are critical not only for development of the nervous system but also for synaptic maintenance,remodeling,and function in the adult brain.One emerging theme is the combinatorial and complementary functions of relatively limited classes of neuronal guidance genes in multiple processes,including neuronal migration,axonal guidance,synaptogenesis,and circuit formation.Importantly,neuronal guidance genes also regulate cell migration and cell-cell communications outside the nervous system.We are just beginning to understand how cells integrate multiple guidance and adhesion signaling inputs to determine overall cellular/subcellular behavior and how aberrant guidance signaling in various cell types contributes to diverse human diseases,ranging from developmental,neuropsychiatric,and neurodegenerative disorders to cancer metastasis.We review classic studies and recent advances in understanding signaling mechanisms of the guidance genes as well as their roles in human diseases.Furthermore,we discuss the remaining chalienges and therapeutic potentials of modulating neuronal guidance pathways in neural repair.

Electroluminescence （EL） characteristics have been studied for a hybrid tandem white organic light emitting diode （OLED） with a blue emitting fluorescent EL1 unit based on BCzVBi and a yellow emitting phosphorescent EL2 unit based on （fbi）2Ir（acac）, where a MoO3 layer is inserted between EL1 and EL2 units as charge generation layer （CGL）. Maximum current and power efficiencies of 68.1 cd/A and 29.2 lm/W were obtained, respectively, while the current and power efficiencies at luminance of 1000 cd/m2 were 68.0 cd/A and 24.6 lm/W. the yellow emission appears from about 4.5 V firstly, while the blue emission starts to appear from about 5.4 V. It was found that charge generation from CGL of MoO3/NPB bilayer occurred at high voltages of above 5.4 V but not at low voltages below 5.2 V.

the world population is continually increasing, but the Japanese population is decreasing. By 2050, the Japanese population is calculated to be close to 100 million people, and by 2060, 40% of the Japanese are estimated to be aged 65 years or more. Data show an increase in the declining birth and aging rates of the population. the development of high-concentration urban structures will be needed to solve such problems. However, a detailed vision of the future is yet to be clarified and in the process of consideration. In this study, we developed an instrument called ＂Population Migration tool,＂ which is based on plural planning and policy, after we formed a future population distribution model. In addition, We also established a high- concentration urban structure model with this tool with the aim of considering the kind of urban structure local cities should target in the future.

An organic light-emitting diode(OLED)is required to exhibit long-time operation without degradation as an inorganic LED.Sufficiently long operation time has been demonstrated for green-and red-emitting OLEDs.However,a blue device that is important for full-color display and lighting exhibits a much shorter operational lifetime than the other color devices.the short lifetime is mainly attributed to the molecular dissociation and the defects and radical species formation through various unimolecular and bimolecular processes,including direct photolysis,exciton–exciton interaction,and exciton–polaron interaction,and so on.

Phytochromes in seed plants are known to move into nuclei in a red light-dependent manner with or without interacting factors. Here, we show phytochrome relocation to the nuclear region in phytochrome-dependent Adiantum capillus-veneris spore germination by partial spore-irradiation experiments. the nuclear or non-nuclear region of imbibed spores was irradiated with a microbeam of red and/or far-red light and the localization of phytochrome involved in spore germination was estimated from the germination rate. the phytochrome for spore germination existed throughout whole spore under darkness after imbibition, but gradually migrated to the nuclear region following red light irradiation. In- tracellular distribution of PHY-GUS fusion proteins expressed in germinated spores by particle bombardment showed the migration of Acphy2, but not Acphyl, into nucleus in a red light-dependent manner, suggesting that Acphy2 is the photoreceptor for fern spore germination.

to the Editor： Sorafenib, a multikinase inhibitor of cell proliferation and angiogenesis, is expected to cause intratumoral necrosis and maintain stable disease in hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC）. HCC rupture during treatment of sorafenib is rare？ We describe a male patient who was treated with sorafenib and experienced a comparatively small HCC rupture during a stable disease state.

the "Arctic" region,where the North Pole occupies the center of the Arctic Ocean,has been affecting the environmental variation of the Earth from geological time to the present.However,the seismic activities in the area are not adequately monitored.therefore,by conducting long term monitoring of seismic phenomenon as sustainable parameters,our understanding of both the tectonic evolution of the Earth and the dynamic interaction between the cryosphere and geosphere in surface layers of the Earth will increase.In this paper,the association of the seismicity and structure of the Arctic region,particularly focused on Eurasian continent and surrounding oceans,and its relationship with regional evolution during the Earth’s history is studied.the target areas cover representative tectonic provinces in the Eurasian Arctic,such as the wide area of Siberia,Baikal Rift Zone.Far East Russia,Arctic Ocean together with Greenland and Northern Canada.Based on discussion including characteristics of seismicity,heterogeneous structure of the crust and upper mantle,tectonic history and recent dynamic features of the Earth’s surface in the Arctic are summarized.
