the fast dynamic properties of the surface of metallic glasses(MGs) play a critical role in determining their potential applications. However, due to the significant difference in thermal history between atomic simulation models and laboratory-made samples, the atomic-scale behaviors of the fast.su.face dynamics of MGs in experiments remain uncertain. Herein, we prepared model MG films with notable variations in thermal stability using a recently developed efficient annealing protocol, and investigated their atomic-scale dynamics systematically. We found that the dynamics of surface atoms remain invariant, whereas the difference in dynamical heterogeneity between surface and interior regions increases with the improvement of thermal stability. this can be associated with the more pronounced correlation between atomic activation energy spectra and depth from the surface in samples with higher thermal stability. In addition, dynamic anisotropy appears for surface atoms, and their transverse dynamics are faster than normal components, which can also be interpreted by activation energy spectra. Our results reveal the presence of strong liquid-like atomic dynamics confined to the surface of laboratory-made MGs, illuminating the underlying mechanisms for surface engineering design, such as cold joining by ultrasonic vibrations and superlattice growth.

Capsular contracture is a prevalent and severe complication that affects the post-operative outcomes of patients who receive silicone breast *** present,prosthesis replacement is the major treatment for capsular contracture after both breast augmentation procedures and breast reconstruction following breast cancer ***,the mecha-nism(s)underlying breast capsular contracture remains *** study aimed to identify the biological features of breast capsular contracture and reveal the potential underlying mechanism using RNA *** tissues from 12 female patients(15 breast capsules)were divided into low capsular contracture(LCC)and high capsular contracture(HCC)groups based on the Baker ***,41 lipid metabolism-related genes were identified through enrichment analysis,and three of these genes were identified as candidate genes by SVM-RFE and LASSO *** then compared the proportions of the 22 types of im-mune cells between the LCC and HCC groups using a CIBERSORt analysis and explored the Cor-relation between the candidate hub features and immune ***,PRKAR2B was positively correlated with the differentially clustered immune cells,which were M1 macro-phages and follicular helper t cells(area under the ROC=0.786).In addition,the expression of PRKAR2B at the mRNA or protein level was lower in the HCC group than in the LCC *** molecular mechanisms were identified based on the expression levels in the high and low PRKAR2B *** findings indicate that PRKAR2B is a novel diagnostic biomarker for breast capsular contracture and might also influence the grade and progression of capsularcontracture.

the finite Berry curvature in topological materials can induce many subtle phenomena, such as the anomalous Hall effect(AHE), spin Hall effect(SHE), anomalous Nernst effect(ANE), non-linear Hall effect(NLHE) and bulk photovoltaic effects. to explore these novel physics as well as their connection and coupling, a precise and effective model should be developed. Here, we propose such a versatile model—a 3D triangular lattice with alternating hopping parameters, which can yield various topological phases,including kagome bands, triply degenerate fermions, double Weyl semimetals and so on. We reveal that this special lattice can present unconventional transport due to its unique topological surface states and the aforementioned topological phenomena, such as AHE, ANE, NLHE and the topological photocurrent effect. In addition, we also provide a number of material candidates that have been synthesized experimentally with this lattice, and discuss two materials, including a non-magnetic triangular system for SHE, NLHE and the shift current, and a ferromagnetic triangular lattice for AHE and ANE. Our work provides an excellent platform, including both the model and materials, for the study of Berry-curvature-related physics.

surfactants were used to assist in the crystallization of *** types of surfactants with different structures(sodium dodecyl sulfate,cetyltrimethylammonium bromide,or betaine hydrochloride[BH])were *** study indicated that three surfactants were all capable of shortening the crystallization induction time of lysozyme,with BH inducing the shortest crystallization induction time(t=1 min)and the largest crystal size(37μm).the molecular interactions among each of the three surfactants aforementioned and lysozyme were also investigated by *** was found that hydrogen bonding dominantly acted between the carboxyl structure of the surfactant BH and the lysozyme,which produced the most favorable conformation for the self-assembly of lysozyme(promote lysozyme orderly aggregation and shorten the crystallization induction time).On this basis,the mechanism of surfactant-promoted lysozyme crystallization was proposed.

Joining dissimilar Mg/Cu alloys was still an intractable problem because of the excessive intermetallic compounds(IMCs)and poor mechanical properties using conventional welding *** the present study,friction stir welding was employed for the butt joining of dissimilar AZ31B Mg-alloy and t2 pure Cu ***-free Mg/Cu joints were obtained with Mg-RS and Cu-AS configuration,at a welding speed of 50 mm/min and tool rotating speeds of 325 r/min,625 r/min and 925 r/*** the joining interface,both Mg_(2)Cu and MgCu_(2) IMC phases were observed,with a clear,uniform and continuous IMCs layer composed of two sub-layers,layer-A of Mg+Mg_(2)Cu and layer-B of Mg_(2)Cu+MgCu_(2).the maximum ultimate tensile strength of the Mg/Cu friction stir welding joint reached 130 MPa at 925 r/min due to enhanced mechanical interlocking between Mg and Cu,as well as sufficient metallurgical bonding at the joining interface with an IMCs layer thickness in the range of 1.0-2.0μm.

the perfluorosulfonic acid(PFSA) membrane doped with two-dimensional conductive filler ti_(3)C_(2)t_(x) is a fuel cell proton exchange membrane with high application potential. Experimental studies showed that the proton conductivity of Nafion/ti_(3)C_(2)t_(x) composite membrane is improved significantly compared with that in pure Nafion. However, the microscopic mechanism of doping on the enhancement of membrane performance is remain unclear now. In this work, molecular dynamics simulation was used to investigate the microscopic morphology and proton transport behaviors of Nafion/ti_(3)C_(2)t_(x) composite membrane at the molecular level. the results shown that there were significant differences about the diffusion kinetics of water molecules and hydroxium ions in Nafion/ti_(3)C_(2)t_(x) at low and high hydration levels in the nanoscale *** the increase of water content, ti_(3)C_(2)t_(x) in membrane was gradually surrounded by ambient water molecules to form a hydration layer, and forming a relatively continuous proton transport channel between Nafion polymer and ti_(3)C_(2)t_(x) monomer. the continuous proton transport channel could increase the number of binding sites of proton and thus achieving high proton conductivity and high mobility of water molecules at higher hydration level. the current work can provide a theoretical guidance for designing new type of Nafion composite membranes.

the development of three-dimensional(3D)space light angle detection is vital in optical technology for applications such as 3D imaging,computer vision,and augmented *** methods involve advanced sensors and algorithms,including time-offlight cameras,which need multiple cameras and light sources to improve ***,it is a great challenge to integrate these complex components into compact *** semiconductor structures offer optical resonance characteristics,enabling precise light–matter interaction regulation.A 3D star-like photodetector,fabricated using a template assistant printing strategy,demonstrates optical resonances of the subwavelength facade and the shielding effect of spatial *** achieves light angle detection with the resolution of 10°in vertical space and the resolution of 36°in horizontal space,making it a promising prototype for various applications.
