Fabrication of independent nickel microstructures with anodizing of aluminum, laser irradiation, and electrodeposition

Independent microstructures made of Ni metal were fabricated by fivesequential processes: porous anodic oxide film formation, pore sealing, laser irradiation, Nielectroplating, and removal of the aluminum substrate and anodic oxide films. Aluminum plates androds were anodized in an oxalic acid solution to form porous type anodic oxide films, and thenimmersed in boiling distilled water for pore sealing. the anodized and pore-sealed specimens wereirradiated with a pulsed neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd-yAG) laser beam in a Ni platingsolution to remove anodic oxide film locally by rotating and moving up I down with anXyZ(theta)-stage. Nickel was deposited at the area where film had been removed by cathodicpolarization in the solution before removing the aluminum substrate and anodic oxide films in NaOhsolutions. Cylindrical or plain network structures were fabricated successfully.

to realize an excitation of electron Bernstein waves （eBW） via mode conversion from X-mode waves injected from the high magnetic field side （hFs）, new inner-vessel mirrors were installed close to a helicm coil in the large helicm device （LhD）. 77 Ghz electron cyclotron （eC） wave beams injected from an existing eC-wave injection system toward the new mirror are reflected on the mirror so that the beams are injected to plasmas from hFs. evident increases in the electron temperature at the plasma core region and the plasma stored energy were observed by the hFs beam injection to the plasmas with the line-average electron density of 7.5~ 1019 m-3, which is slightly higher than the plasma cut-off density of 77 Ghz eC-waves, 7.35~ 1019 m-3. the heating efficiency evaluated from the changes in the time derivative of the plasma stored energy reached ,,~70%. Although so far it is not clear which is the main cause of the heating effect, the mode-converted eBW or the X-mode wave itself injected from the hFs, an effective heating of high-density plasma over the plasma cut-off of eC-wave was successfully demonstrated.

A power management unit （PmU） chip supplying dual panel supply voltage, which has a low electro-magnetic interference （emI） characteristic and is favorable for miniaturization, is designed. A two-phase charge pump circuit using external pumping capacitor increases its pumping current and works out the charge-loss problem by using bulk-potential biasing circuit. A low-power start-up circuit is also proposed to reduce the power consumption of the band-gap reference voltage generator. And the ring oscillator used in the eLvss power circuit is designed with logic devices by supplying the logic power supply to reduce the layout area. the PmU chip is designed with magnaChip＇s 0.25 μ high-voltage process. the driving currents of eLvDD and eLvss are more than 50 mA when a sPICe simulation is done.

p-Cdte thin films were prepared by spray pyrolysis under different ambient conditions and characterized using photoelectrochemical（PeC）,X-ray diffraction（XRD）,scanning electron microscopy,energy-dispersive analysis by X-ray（eDAX）,and optical transmission *** different preparative parameters viz solution ph, solution quantity,substrate temperature and solution concentration have been optimized by the PeC technique in order to get good-quality photosensitive *** analysis shows the polycrystalline nature of the film,having cubic structure with strong（111） *** reveal that grains are uniformly distributed over the surface of the substrate indicating the well-defined growth of polycrystalline Cdte thin *** eDAX study for the sample deposited at optimized preparative parameters shows the nearly stoichiometric Cd：te *** absorption shows the presence of direct transition with band gap energy of 1.5 *** films exhibit the highest photocurrent of 2.3 mA,a photovoltage of 462 mv,a 0.48 fill factor and 3.4%efficiency for the optimized preparative parameters.

this paper presents an analytical solution for the free vibration behavior of functionally graded carbon nanotube-reinforced composite(FG-CNtRC) doubly curved shallow shells with integrated piezoelectric layers. here, the linear distribution of electric potential across the thickness of the piezoelectric layer and five different types of carbon nanotube(CNt) distributions through the thickness direction are considered. Based on the four-variable shear deformation refined shell theory, governing equations are obtained by applying hamilton's principle. Navier's solution for the shell panels with the simply supported boundary condition at all four edges is derived. several numerical examples validate the accuracy of the presented solution. New parametric studies regarding the effects of different material properties, shell geometric parameters, and electrical boundary conditions on the free vibration responses of the hybrid panels are investigated and discussed in detail.

Influence of alkali metal doping on surface properties and catalytic activity/selectivity of CaO catalysts in oxidative coupling of methane

surface properties （viz. surface area, basicity/base strength distribution, and crystal phases） of alkali metal doped CaO （alkali metal/Ca= 0.1 and 0.4） catalysts and their catalytic activity/selectivity in oxidative coupling of methane （OCm） to higher hydrocarbons at different reaction conditions （viz. temperature, 700 and 750 ℃; Ch4/O2 ratio, 4.0 and 8.0 and space velocity, 5140-20550 cm^3 ·g^-1·h^-1） have been investigated. the influence of catalyst calcination temperature on the activity/selectivity has also been investigated. the surface properties （viz. surface area, basicity/base strength distribution） and catalytic activity/selectivity of the alkali metal doped CaO catalysts are strongly influenced by the alkali metal promoter and its concentration in the alkali metal doped CaO catalysts. An addition of alkali metal promoter to CaO results in a large decrease in the surface area but a large increase in the surface basicity （strong basic sites） and the C2＋ selectivity and yield of the catalysts in the OCm process. the activity and selectivity are strongly influenced by the catalyst calcination temperature. No direct relationship between surface basicity and catalytic activity/selectivity has been observed. Among the alkali metal doped CaO catalysts, Na-CaO （Na/Ca = 0.1, before calcination） catalyst （calcined at 750 ℃）, showed best performance （C2＋ selectivity of 68.8% with 24.7% methane conversion）, whereas the poorest performance was shown by the Rb-CaO catalyst in the OCm process.

In this study, the inhomogeneous dealloying phenomenon during the liquid metal dealloying(LmD) was investigated using FeNi+mg and(FeCo)Ni+mg systems. For the FeNi+mg system, the inhomogeneous dealloying and wetting of mg melt occurred along triple junction(tj) and grain boundary(GB).temperature increase enhances the inhomogeneous dealloying kinetics and leads to the formation of the plate-shaped abnormal ligaments at the GB region. the energy banlance between a GB energy(γGB)and solid-liquid interface energies(γsl) is the key factor governing the inhomogeneous dealloying and wetting. Particularly, the low-energy twin boundaries were unaffected by the inhomogeneous ***, precursor microstructure is an important factor determining the final morphology of dealloyed material as well as its physical properties. In the case of the(FeCo)Niprecursor, all tj and GB were stable against the preferred penetration of mg melt from 600 ℃ to 800 ℃. It was concluded that a minor addition of alloying elements(vorCr) changes GB characteristics as well as γslof the precursor ***, this significantly influences dealloying mechanisms and final morphology of the dealloyed material. the current findings demonstrate the importance of GB engineering in the precursor materials for the technological application of liquid metal dealloying for the synthesis of advanced structural and functional materials.

two-proton relative momentum distributions from the break-up channels 23Al→p+p+21Na and 22mg→p+p+20Ne at an energy of 60-70 A mev have been measured together with two-proton opening angles at the projectile fragment separator beamline (RIPs) in the RIkeN Ring Cyclotron Facility. the results demonstrate the existence of diproton emission component from single-step 2he for highly excited 23Al and 22mg.
