the oscillatory Couette flow of a magnetohydrodynamic （MHD） sisko fluid between two infinite non-conducting parallel plates is explored in a rotating frame. the lower plate is fixed, and the upper plate is oscillating in its own plane. Using MAtLAB, a numerical solution to the resulting nonlinear system is presented. the influence of the physical parameters on the velocity components is analyzed. It is found that the effect of rotation on the primary velocity is more significant than that on the secondary velocity. Further, the oscillatory character in the flow is also induced by rotation. the considered flow situation behaves inertialess when the Reynolds number is small.

the particle-size distribution and mineralogical composition of the clay （〈 2 μm） and fine-sand （0.25-0.10 mm） fractions in soils of two inland valleys in Abakaliki and Bende, southeast Nigeria, were investigated to provide basic information on soil-forming processes and agricultural potentials. these soils were silty or clayey, deriving from Cretaceous or tertiary shale materials. the particle-size distribution and its computation on a clay-free basis revealed relatively remarkable lithologic breaks in a couple of pedons. the effect of lithologic discontinuities on soil mineralogical composition was not, however, conspicuous. Petrographic investigation revealed that quartz predominantly comprised the fine-sand fraction in the soils at both study sites. Nevertheless, the clay mineralogical composition of the soils was a mixture of kaolinite, irregularly interstratified smectite-illite intergrades （s/I）, hydroxyl-A1 interlayered 2：1 type clays （HICs）, vermiculite, smectite, halloysite and illite along with fine-sized quartz in Abakaliki. the soils of Bende predominantly contained smectite, which was partially interlayered with hydroxyl-A1 and kaolinite. It is suggested that seasonal floodwater has slowed the disintegration of weatherable clay minerals inherited from the shale, while quartz originating from the sandstone is predominant in the fine-sand fraction. Additionally, a possible soil-forming process observed at the both study sites was ferrolysis, which was indicated by a clear decreasing pattern of HICs downward in the soil profiles, the entry of s/I and vertical distribution patterns for a couple of clay minerals in the pedon suggested that the soils in Abakaliki have developed under the significant influence of aeolian dust delivered by the Harmattan. the findings might describe a site-specific deposition pattern of Harmattan dusts as well as hydromorphic soil-forming processes in the wetlands of the inland valleys.

A nonlocal elastic micro/nanobeam is theoretically modeled with the consideration of the surface elasticity, the residual surface stress, and the rotatory inertia,in which the nonlocal and surface effects are considered. three types of boundary conditions, i.e., hinged-hinged, clamped-clamped, and clamped-hinged ends, are examined. For a hinged-hinged beam, an exact and explicit natural frequency equation is derived based on the established mathematical model. the Fredholm integral equation is adopted to deduce the approximate fundamental frequency equations for the clamped-clamped and clamped-hinged beams. In sum, the explicit frequency equations for the micro/nanobeam under three types of boundary conditions are proposed to reveal the dependence of the natural frequency on the effects of the nonlocal elasticity, the surface elasticity, the residual surface stress, and the rotatory inertia, providing a more convenient means in comparison with numerical computations.

We investigate the dependency of strain rate,temperature and size on yield strength of hexagonal close packed（HCP） nanowires based on large-scale molecular dynamics（MD） simulation.A variance-based analysis has been proposed to quantify relative sensitivity of the three controlling factors on the yield strength of the *** of the major drawbacks of conventional MD simulation based studies is that the simulations are computationally very intensive and economically *** scale molecular dynamics simulation needs supercomputing access and the larger the number of atoms,the longer it takes time and computational *** this reason it becomes practically impossible to perform a robust and comprehensive analysis that requires multiple simulations such as sensitivity analysis,uncertainty quantification and *** propose a novel surrogate based molecular dynamics（sBMD）simulation approach that enables us to carry out thousands of virtual simulations for different combinations of the controlling factors in a computationally efficient way by performing only few MD *** the sBMD simulation approach an efficient optimum design scheme has been developed to predict optimized size of the nanowire to maximize the yield *** the effect of inevitable uncertainty associated with the controlling factors has been quantified using Monte Carlo *** we have confined our analyses in this article for Magnesium nanowires only,the proposed approach can be extended to other materials for computationally intensive nano-scale investigation involving multiple factors of influence.

Advanced prostate cancer has been recognized as being responsive to androgen deprivation since the 1940s when Charles Huggins first described the role of surgical castration in managing these patients. However, androgen deprivation only results in transient disease control for the vast majority of men, with those progressing in spite of castrate testosterone levels labeled as having castrate-resistant prostate cancer （CRPC）. Until 2004, the therapeutic arena for these patients had remained stagnant, with no agent having shown a survival gain in the CRPC setting. two landmark publications changed the prostate cancer treatment landscape by providing ＇level-1 evidence＇ that docetaxel-based chemotherapy led to prolongation in overall survival （Os）. this was followed by the approval of cabazitaxel in 2010 on the basis of Phase III data demonstrating its efficacy in patients pretreated with docetaxel. More recently, a number of next-generation androgen-directed agents （e.g. abiraterone and enzalutamide） have also been shown to lead to a survival benefit in men with CRPC. With so many new treatment options available, a number of questions remain. these include： how to best sequence chemotherapy with these newer hormonal agents, the clinical implication of cross-resistance between taxanes and androgen-directed agents and which subsets of patients may benefit most from early use of chemotherapy. this review will provide an overview of the evolving role of chemotherapy in the management of advanced prostate cancer in the current era.

skin cancer is usually classiﬁed as melanoma and *** now represents 75%of humans passing away worldwide and is one of the most brutal types of ***,studies were not mainly focused on feature extraction of Melanoma,which caused the classiﬁcation ***,in this work,Histograms of orientation gradients and local binary pat-terns feature extraction procedures are used to extract the important features such as asymmetry,symmetry,boundary irregularity,color,diameter,etc.,and are removed from both melanoma and non-melanoma *** proposed Efﬁ-cient Classiﬁcation systems for the Diagnosis of Melanoma(ECsDM)framework consists of different schemes such as preprocessing,segmentation,feature extrac-tion,and classiﬁ*** used Machine Learning(ML)and Deep Learning(DL)classiﬁers in the classiﬁcation *** ML classiﬁer is Naïve Bayes(NB)and support Vector Machines(sVM).And also,DL classiﬁcation frame-work of the Convolution Neural Network(CNN)is used to classify the melanoma and benign *** results show that the Neural Network(NNEt)classiﬁer’achieves 97.17%of accuracy when contrasting with ML classiﬁers.

A suitable simple optical cryostat for optical, magneto-optical, electrical and thermo-electrical measurements was designed. It is suitable for use in a magnetic pool gap as narrow as less than 1 cm. throughout a long period of time, the heat diffusion process of the cryostat can be easily operated at slow increase in sample temperature in a range 1.25 K/min at 200 K that will be reduced gradually to 0.66 K at room temperature. Liquid nitrogen was used to cool down the temperature. During the operation, the change in the measured energy gap of a semiconductor sample and other physical parameters resulting from the change of temperature can be corrected through the temperature coefficient of that parameter at the corresponding temperature. the cryostat was successfully used for all experiments mentioned above to measure the properties of a single crystal of GaP (Gallium Phosphate) semiconductor.

the paper studies the dispersion of axisymmetric longitudinal waves in the bi-material compound circular cylinder made of linear viscoelastic *** investigations are carried out within the scope of the piecewise homogeneous body model by utilizing the exact equations of linear *** corresponding dispersion equation is derived for an arbitrary type of hereditary operator and the algorithm is developed for its numerical *** numerical results are obtained for the case where the relations of the constituents of the cylinder are described through fractional exponential *** influence of the viscosity of the materials of the compound cylinder on the wave dispersion is studied through the rheological parameters which indicate the characteristic creep time and long-term values of the elastic constants of these *** curves are presented for certain selected dispersive and non-dispersive attenuation cases under various values of the problem parameters and the influence of the aforementioned rheological parameters on these curves is *** a result of the numerical investigations,in particular,it is established that in the case where the rheological parameters of the components of the compound cylinder are the same,the viscosity of the layers’materials causes the axisymmetric wave propagation velocity to decrease.
