A novel Eu^(2+)-Eu^(3+)co-activated ratiometric thermo-sensitive phosphor was developed and synthesized by solid-state *** valence state of Eu,photoluminescence and thermo-sensitive performance of the phosphor prepared either in ambient air or carbothermally were investigated and *** phosphor shows high sensitivity(sa=0.0173 K^(-1),s_(r)=0.461%/K)and superior signal discriminability(Δν∼10380 cm^(−1)).the thermo-sensitive performance is subject to the dual effects of different thermo-responses by Eu^(2+)versus Eu^(3+)combined with energy transfer from Eu^(2+)to Eu^(3+),so that the sensitivity of the phosphor in the temperature range presents a non-monotonic *** development of the BaAl_(2)B_(2)O_(7):Eu^(2+),Eu^(3+)phosphor is not only expected to be relevant for application in the field of temperature sensing,but also of reference significance for improving the sensitivity by means of energy transfer between co-activator ions over a wider temperature range of Eu^(2+)-Eu^(3+)co-activated ratiometric thermo-sensitive phosphors.

BACKGROUND Reactivation of hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection is a well-known risk that can occur spontaneously or following immunosuppressive therapies,including cancer *** reactivation can cause significant morbidity and even mortality,which are preventable if at-risk individuals are identified through screening and started on antiviral *** to determine the prevalence of chronic HBV(CHB)and occult HBV infection(OBI)among oncology and hematology-oncology patients undergoing *** In this observational study,the prevalence of CHB and OBI was assessed among patients receiving *** markers of HBV infection[hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg)/anti-hepatitis B core antigen(HBc)]were evaluated for all *** DNA levels were assessed in those who tested negative for HBsAg but positive for total *** the prevalence of CHB in the study cohort was determined to be 2.3%[95%confidence interval(95%CI):1.0-4.2].Additionally,the prevalence of OBI among the study participants was found to be 0.8%(95%CI:0.2-2.3).CONCLUsION the findings of this study highlight the importance of screening for hepatitis B infection in oncology and hematology-oncology patients undergoing *** individuals with CHB and OBI is crucial for implementing appropriate antiviral prophylaxis to prevent the reactivation of HBV infection,which can lead to increased morbidity and mortality.

the impact of grain size,ranging from 0.9μm to 9μm,on the mechanical properties of commercially pure Mg is investigated at temperatures of 4K,78K,and *** mechanisms governing plastic flow are influenced by both grain size and *** 4K and 78K,dominant deformation modes in Mg involve dislocation glide and extension twinning,regardless of grain *** interactions between basal and non-basal dislocations and dislocations with grain boundaries promote an unusually high rate of work hardening in the plastic regime,leading to premature *** yield stress follows the Hall-Petch relationshipσ_(y)∼k/√d,with the slope k increasing with decreasing *** 298K,in addition to dislocation glide and twinning,grain boundary sliding(GBs)becomes significant in samples with grain sizes below 3μm,considerably enhancing the material’s *** activation provides an additional recovery mechanism for dislocations accumulating at grain boundaries,facilitating their absorption during sliding and *** ofσrelationship suggests that the basal slip is the dominant dislocation mode in Mg at *** grain size suppresses dislocation activity and twinning and increases GBs,resulting in lowerandσ*** conventional deformation modes coupled with enhanced GBs yields stress softening,breaking down the Hall-Petch relationship in Mg below 3μm grain size,leading to an inverse Hall-Petch *** work reports new data on the strength,ductility,work hardening and fracture behaviour,and their variations with Mg grain size across different temperature regimes.

After spinal cord injury, there is an extensive infiltration of immune cells, which exacerbates the injury and leads to further neural degeneration. therefore, a major aim of current research involves targeting the immune response as a treatment for spinal cord injury. Although much research has been performed analyzing the complex inflammatory process following spinal cord injury, there remain major discrepancies within previous literature regarding the timeline of local cytokine regulation. the objectives of this study were to establish an overview of the timeline of cytokine regulation for 2 weeks after spinal cord injury, identify sexual dimorphisms in terms of cytokine levels, and determine local cytokines that significantly change based on the severity of spinal cord injury. Rats were inflicted with either a mild contusion, moderate contusion, severe contusion, or complete transection, 7 mm of spinal cord centered on the injury was harvested at varying times post-injury, and tissue homogenates were analyzed with a Cytokine/Chemokine 27-Plex assay. Results demonstrated pro-inflammatory cytokines including tumor necrosis factor α, interleukin-1β, and interleukin-6 were all upregulated after spinal cord injury, but returned to uninjured levels within approximately 24 hours post-injury, while chemokines including monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 remained upregulated for days post-injury. In contrast, several anti-inflammatory cytokines and growth factors including interleukin-10 and vascular endothelial growth factor were downregulated by 7 days post-injury. After spinal cord injury, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1, which specifically affects astrocytes involved in glial scar development, increased more than all other cytokines tested, reaching 26.9-fold higher than uninjured rats. After a mild injury, 11 cytokines demonstrated sexual dimorphisms; however, after a severe contusion only leptin levels were different between female and male rats. In conclus

Background the impact of changing land-use patterns and associated anthropogenic threats on scale-dependent habitat use of semi-aquatic mustelids in scent-marking and social behaviour can provide important insights into the habitat ecology of smooth-coated otters(Lutrogale perspicillata).Methods We sampled 180 stream segments(100–400 m) as spatial replicates of 60 1-km2 sites to record indirect evidence(i.e. spraints and mass latrine sites) and group sizes of smooth-coated otters along the tungabhadra Otter Conservation Reserve(tOCR) during the dry season. to quantify habitat, we recorded stream characteristics, riparian vegetation, and anthropogenic disturbances at the local scale, and hydro-environmental characteristics and land uses at the landscape scale. Using Markovian-chain detection and occupancy models, we assessed the multi-scale habitat use of otters in their selection of suitable areas for scent-marking based on repeated presence-absence data on spraint/latrine locations along the tOCR. We further used linear regression techniques to explore relationships between the number of individuals in smooth-coated otter group and hydro-environmental characteristics, spraint/latrine encounter rate, anthropogenic pressure, land cover, topography, and *** At the local scale, the probability of spraint deposition and group size decreased with anthropogenic disturbance while the probability of spraint detections decreased with grass cover. today,urban traffic,growing populations,and dense transportation networks are contributing to an increase in traffic *** incidents include traffic accidents,vehicle breakdowns,fires,and traffic disputes,resulting in long waiting times,high carbon emissions,and other undesirable *** is vital to estimate incident response times quickly and accurately after traffic incidents occur for the success of incident-related planning and response *** study presents a model for forecasting the traffic incident duration of traffic events with high *** proposed model goes through a 4-stage process using various features to predict the duration of four different traffic events and presents a feature reduction approach to enable real-time data collection and *** the first stage,the dataset consisting of 24,431 data points and 75 variables is prepared by data collection,merging,missing data processing and data *** the second stage,models such as Decision trees(Dt),K-Nearest Neighbour(KNN),Random Forest(RF)and support Vector Machines(sVM)are used and hyperparameter optimisation is performed with *** the third stage,feature selection and reduction are performed and real-time data are *** the last stage,model performance with 14 variables is evaluated with metrics such as accuracy,precision,recall,F1-score,MCC,confusion matrix and *** RF model outperforms other models with an accuracy of 98.5%.the study’s prediction results demonstrate that the proposed dynamic prediction model can achieve a high level of success.
